As a voice actor- Please don't quit once you start a series. If you think you can't make the series to the end, please don't start it. I have been in 12 series and half of them died because of director quiting-
I agree, but you must know that at the start that we may feel motivated and ready for the project, but things can change and if you have any family issues/problems, you lose your motivation (which is a problem for almost every director who's ever done a gacha project... trust me lol) Things change, and if a project you get into gets canceled, just remember that the next project your casted for may just be even better than the last
As a voice actor and a person who runs voice acting movies/series, these are all very important! Im glad someone made a video like this to help people in the future!!! I would also like to say that please don't cancel a voice acting series or movie- just take a long break and continue working on it! Remember taking breaks are very Important. Also if you started 3 voice acting things and want to do more, just calm down! Write down the ideas for the future and focus on the ones you have currently. And lastly make your lines for the character something that they would/will say in the episodes/movie or whatever you are making! (I don't know why i made this so long- but i also find these tips very important!)
1:32 I think having a lot of characters with a decent amount/lots of trauma is good. It just depends on the story, as there are some stories that depend on trauma. But I do agree with you
Yes, I tend to give a lot of my character trauma but it just gets old (to me) when a new character is introduced, and BAM they have trauma like you said, i agree that it depends on the story tho
Another tip: When writing the series or movie, make sure you have the entire plot line finished and possibly some of the script written before holding auditions!!! It can be very stressful to have all your VA's (and possibly crew members) asking you when they're going to start doing stuff because you don't have everything prepared and ready!
This really helps a ton! I’m starting a series soon “Fandoms Play Squidgame” and all of these tips really helped to create the story, and give me more confidence to do this!
Very very true!! This is really helpful😭💖✨️. And I agree with the lines. Some people only put "Hey! Wait" and like "I'm sorry..." LIKE ITS SO HARD TO MAKE IT SOUND NICE BECAUSE OF HOW SHORT IT IS, I CANT SEEM TO PUT EMOTIONS BC ITS TOO SHORT. But great video, u earned a sub💖🥰✨️
As someone who has been voice acting for gacha tubers for 7 years please only start one if you know you will finish it. I have been casted 100s of times, and only 1 series actually got uploaded. I understand things come up, but u need to think of the vas who put in a lot of time amd effort too.
These are some good tips!! When I come to my channel (because I’m fighting procrastination) I might consider doing making my series with voice actors!!
I have a story ready about an investigative journalist dealing with his family (more like a family in law than family by blood) and with his backstory involving his pyromaniac issues. But there is a problem…I am unable to work in a team. And Gacha series in my language aren’t very famous because not a lot of people speak my language outside of my country so I am trying to do this in English…but since I can’t work in team, I can’t use voice actors and I have to do the voice acting all by myself. And it’s so hard to balance between different voices for the character and an understandable English with my pronunciation and accent.
I've been planning to make one since well i saw my first one and ive had this amazing idea in my head but never wanted to lift it up until now Tysm :,)
helloooo, really late but its also great for the director themselves to know the concept of different types of voice ranges and how to voice act in general such as practicing themselves or joining extracurriculars that use their voice (im in my schools news radio broadcasting for example and it has helped me LOTS on stuff such as regulating my voice and when to know what tone you're supposed to be in + difference in voicing different emotions) You'll be able to identify what tone you want for a character's line so much easier and it will help with the quality of the series/movie + tip, its also best if the director and voice actor can be in a call together and record lines like that, the director is able to hear what the voice actor needs in a specific line or just helping in general
This helps a lot! I am starting my own series which is going to be voice acted and its my first time, I'm writing character information since I finished doing the plot, then I just have to hope it will eventually get attention and yeah-
hi! i’m trying to make a gacha club series and i wanted to find some songs for the singing parts and i cant find any songs that fits the theme or enough people😅 do you have some tips that i can finds songs easily?
So, on my main account, I will be creating Voice acting 5 movies, and there all the same except they are all generations. That’s where the title came from, I don’t specifically have a main character, but I have a main family. They all have marks, and those marks have meanings. We have charts: The L chart. The B chart. The R chart. The T chart The I chart. The Y chart. The F chart, and The N chart. This is based of me and my friends.
This is perfect because my cousin is moving to Houston with em and we are gonna work on a badge series about a group of friends and how one of the friend is a serial killer the serial killer is technically if nanno (I think that's how you spell her name) and dreamwastaken got mixed together into one person
Im planning on making one for my main ocs lore! If that ends up good I will make more for my other ocs! (Btw my lore is short so it’s a good first voice acted series!)
Can I do live auditions? Where everyone would be in the vc and the actors would do their lines there? I was also planning on having live readings of the lines as well. What do you think of that?
Thanks for the tips! :3 I'm planning on starting a series (that I've been planning since 2021 😔). I have one question though~ Where do I find the auditioners? Do I upload an annoucement video or do I search on some websites etc. Also how do I get people interested in what I am making? (It'd be a shame if it got like 40 views 😭😭😭)
you can upload an announcement video (make sure to put the keywords 'gacha voice acted auditions open') on youtube, typically those videos get at least 100 views!! then to get more auditioners, invite people to ur audition server on discord!!! do lots of partnerships and stuff,, this will always get u auditioners
I'm currently writing one but I don't really have any experience so should I just try and start off with my friends or just try to find other people to do it
If you mean for auditions I usually set up a Discord server and host auditions on there, and for actually making the episodes/movie I hire some crew members (prop artists, bg music ppl, animators, ect) to help me when i work on everything how you set everything up really depends on you!
I have a question, you said in the video that I should have a storyline and when I have that storyline I should stick with it. Well… Here’s the thing, I’ve been planning a Season 2 of the series, but it might have a completely different storyline. For example, Season 1 is going to just be a regular school series, but then in Season 2 it turns into a like an Adventure-Elemental (Music) Protector Series 😭 I planned Season 1 as a school series to be a little bit of a prequel or to help explain some of the things that would be mentioned in Season 2 just before we get to the main thing. But I’m wondering, would it be a better thing to just change the type of series between Seasons? 😅 I’m sorry I may be a little late, but I just found this today
I feel that going from a highschool/slice of life type series to an adventure/fantasy story could get messy very quick, you need to make sure you properly explain everything from how you got from point a to b in the script, and this could be at the beginning of the season, throughout, whenever If you really want to do it, then I think it could work as long as it is executed properly :)
@@zillafied okay cool, thank you so much, because I’m planning on starting to kick this storyline into the Series on like the last episode of Season 1, and just leave the series as To Be Continued until Season 2. And then have everything explained in the Premiere of Season 2, does that sound like a little proper way to explain it? 😅😅
@@zillafied the voice actors, how do u get them? I mean, is there any way you can find voice actors for your stories (and srry u didn’t understand in the first place)
@@MichelleEditz Oh yes!! Discord and Casting Call Club are the best way to find voice actors! I use them both myself. If you're not allowed to have either of those, you can do it through UA-cam, but it's way harder.
Hi I’m a VA! But I wanna start my own gacha va series :) Do you mind explaining how directors import the va’s lines into the character when making a gacha series/movie?
@@zillafied like usually after the directors choose their vas for their characters, they make the voice actors say their specific lines in the script, so when that process is finished and the person creating the gacha voice acting series/ movie (director) starts making it, how do they put the lines into the series/movie? If that’s too complicated then it’s okay 😭
@@iinubsx Ohhh i see what u mean lol If the va were to send a video of their lines, u can easily download it thru discord! same with audio files After that you go to the audio part of ur editing app and insert the file (if its capcut and its an audio file) if its a video u can just import it like a photo and move it out of frame (if ur on capcut)
You shouldn't try to make your voice deeper because you have a voice that sounds younger Use the voice you have right now and have fun with it!! As you get older, your voice will naturally deepen Though obviously, you are allowed to change your voice for a character, I'm not the best with that stuff, but there are plenty of tips and stuff on UA-cam!!
@dusanbilly7594 well it depends, i record on my laptop so i use audacity but a lot of ppl record on their phones and i typically see them use a voice recorder app, capcut, bandlab, pretty much any app that can record ur voice will work, but if u or a family member has a good usb mic i 100% reccomend using that mic on a pc/laptop/mac with audacity :)
1:53 lmao i just realized the spelling error... pretend it says in...
I think another tip would be to create a character that either a VA or a viewer might relate to.
