Death Note (Japanese: デスノート, Hepburn: Desu Nōto) is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows Light Yagami, a teen genius[3] who stumbles across a mysterious otherworldly notebook: the "Death Note", which belonged to the Shinigami Ryuk, and grants the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name is written in its pages. The series centers around Light's subsequent attempts to use the Death Note to carry out a world-wide massacre of individuals whom he deems morally unworthy of life to change the world into a utopian society without crime, using the alias of a god-like vigilante named "Kira" ("キラ", the Japanese transliteration of the English word: killer) and the subsequent efforts of an elite task-force of law enforcement officers, consisting of members of the Japanese police force, led by L, an enigmatic international detective whose past is shrouded in mystery, to apprehend him and end his reign of terror.
Death Note was first serialized in Shueisha's manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2003 to May 2006. The 108 chapters were collected and published into 12 tankōbon volumes between April 2004 and July 2006. An anime television adaptation aired in Japan from October 3, 2006, to June 26, 2007. Composed of 37 episodes, the anime was developed by Madhouse and directed by Tetsurō Araki. A light novel based on the series, written by Nisio Isin, was also released in 2006. Additionally, various video games have been published by Konami for the Nintendo DS. The series was adapted into three live action films released in Japan on June 17, 2006, November 3, 2006, and February 2, 2008, and a television drama in 2015. A miniseries entitled Death Note: New Generation and a fourth film were released in 2016. An American film adaptation was released on Netflix on August 24, 2017.
Death Note media is licensed and released in North America by Viz Media, with the exception of the video games and soundtracks. The episodes from the anime first appeared in North America as downloadable from IGN, before Viz Media licensed it and it aired on YTV's Bionix anime block in Canada and on Adult Swim in the United States with a DVD release following. The live-action films briefly played in certain North American theaters in 2008, before receiving home video releases. In 2015, the collected volumes of the Death Note manga had over 30 million copies in circulation.

2.death note series last episode le last kuch scenes mai misa ko dikhaya jata jo ek skyscraper ke safty rail ke pass khadii thi maybe this scene indicates ki light ke marne ke baad misa committed suicide. The author speculated that after someone "like Matsuda probably let it slip" that Light died, Misa fell into despair and "committed suicide... something like that".Her death date is given as slightly over a year after Light's

Ryuk only wanted to get over with his boredom and that last scene where Ryuk sitting on top of a tower in earth intead of going back to his world may suggest that he loved this game and may continue it by playing other humans.
At the end Light Yagami was only a play toy for Ryuk .

You missed one point here. You forgot to mention what happened to Misa finally. By Ryuk's theory that any person who uses death note can neither go to heaven nor hell, were Misa, Teru and others who used the death note were all turned to Shinigamis?

I don't think that L did a crime because those people whom he used were supposed to be executed on that day this way or another way so I do believe this is not against the law.

Correction at 13:23. Near changes the pages from the fake Notebook first on which LIGHT confirms that Near has fallen for his plan. But then due to Mikami's mistake it is revealed to Near that the real Notebook is in a bank locker and he changes it with a fake Notebook as well. So Near changes both the real and fake Notebook.

I have watched Death Note countless number of times and yet, I didn't feel bored with your description of the series. Hats off to you!!
Great work, superb explanation but you missed a major plot of how Gevanni got his hands over Teru's Death Note. Basically, light said to Teru not to use the real notebook till that date on which Near would call him to meet in open and will eventually reveal himself. That's why Teru placed the real notebook in his bank locker. But when Takada got kidnapped, the news got viral(because she was very popular being the spokesperson of Kira). Teru thought that now that is god Kira(Light) is helpless and was unknown to the fact that Light had a piece of paper of Death Note in his watch, Teru decides to go to bank which he used to go once in a month and also went there just a day before. Gevanni notices this abnormality and followed him. Luckily Teru scheduled Takada's death a minute later than that of scheduled by Light. So as per Light's timing, Takada burned herself exactly on time and Light had no point of suspection that Teru also used the notebook. Then Gevanni went into the bank, unlocks the locker and got the notebook. So yeah, Light failed because of Teru Mikami's marginal error.
Fun fact: Gevanni was super talented and was able to create an exact copy of Death Note with perfection, even copying Teru's handwriting in just one night.
Another One: When Light faced Near directly, Near was able to see the shinigami Ryuk which confirmed that he has the real notebook.
The theories explained in the end were quite convincing and mindblowing ...enjoyed the video 🤘🤘

Hi, I have watched Death Note animated series twice and want to add some important info you missed.
1. Shinigami gets the remaining life of the person they kill through death note, and if a Shinigami saves some human and dies then that Shinigami's remaining life gets added to the life of the person they saved. Misa was going to die by a thief but got saved by a Shinigami whose life gets added to Misa's life. Later Yem's life also gets added to Misa's life.
2. Light could kill anyone to reach his goals but L used only those criminals for his experiments who already got death sentence of the day on which L planned them to get killed. So L never killed randomly.
3. Near or N came to know about the actual death note when that prosecutor Kira Teru himself also went to take the real death note from bank locker to kill Takada who got kidnapped by Mellow. Light never asked him to do so as he himself killed Takada. Due to this mistake of Teru, Light got caught as Light never knew this and only got to know when N revealed this at the last episode. Mellow knew this kind of things will happen when he kidnapped Takada and Mellow sacrificed himself so that N can catch real Kira. Melow said this to N before he kidnapped Takada.

Your explanation is not apt for how Near got the death note.
First of all Mello acted independently, Near never convinced him to kidnap Takada.
Also it was due to Mello that Near was able to get his hands on the real death note as, once the Xkira got to know that Takada is kidnaped, he deviated from his ridiculously same schedule to go to the bank locker and use the real DeathNote (which he had hid there). The agent who was following Xkira noticed this, and then he stole the real deathnote from the bank and replaced it with the fake one and then gave the real death note to Near. Nears initial plan of swapping the pages had abysmally failed and if Mello wouldn’t had kidnaped Takada then Near would have lost as he wasn’t able to deduce Lights plan.
Interesting Mello somehow knew about the fake deathnote and that’s why he kidnapped Takada.
