Haha, yes, everything he does is building towards something. It's part of his excellent storytelling -- he doesn't just do a ridiculous thing no one would ever spend 100+ hours doing and then post a video of his results. He walks you step by step into the mouth of madness, so you can go "Oh I see, yes that is a completely obvious and reasonable way to deal with a game mechanic".

It’s the shock value of every single person who watches LGIO as they realize the full and terrible extent of his madness with each new video that makes these reactions so good for me. No matter who reviews his stuff, there’s ALWAYS a breaking point where they sit there in disbelief at the man.
Every reactor (lol) goes into their first video of his expecting normalcy, and the longer they watch, the more they realise that this is not how he operates
While that would be some cool lore, at 26:38 the train travels nearest to that area and it's pretty clearly not at all doggo shapes, and is the underside of some terrain, the same look as the other areas of the bottom of terrain that you see as the train travels down to be under the map. Also, the one of the squares with the shapes has a perfect circle in the middle with nothing in it, so while maybe it's possible the 'doggos' would land only in certain grid squares after falling off the cliff, there would be zero reason that an area under the map (what is essentially a flat floor) would have any obstacles or any reason that the 'doggos' would be unable to land in a neat circular portion of a barren invisible square section of the undermap floor. Also, if they were 'doggos' there are clearly thousands of them, and there's zero reason he would have put that amount of effort in and not highlighted it for content.

I wouldn't be surprised. The devs of Hydroneer have a wanted sign on one of the shops. Plus I'm certain game devs actually love what he does to the games it let's them know what is buggy and needs to be oatched.
The look of horror on your face when he first encountered the lizard doggo, followed by the boundless relief that showed when he ignored it, then the redoubled look of horror when you realized that he hadn't forgotten about them after all and the ensuing madness...was art.

For real though, I like that by the end of this series you can call out what was about to happen in the rest of the video for the most part, but still be surprised by the little bit of madness that is Josh. Now all there is to do is wait for the next episode, where I suspect he's going to make a cursed stack of mk 1 belts on stackable conveyor poles high enough to reach the drones for no reason other than the ability to do it.
i'd be supriised if he could make another episode. he is near the new build limit and even if the game could handle his shenannigans his pc might not rofl.

Sadly that ship already sailed. They used to always use each updated map of his as a benchmark. It's why his survived the old purge back in the day, they sent it to him since they'd updated it themselves. That's why his old tornado is the first picture on the steam page, and likely why the doggos suddenly started being able to show up with nuclear waste.
I remember way back when, during the first few reactions to this series, you wondered out loud "I wonder how Josh is gonna deal with the nuclear waste". Already knowing the answer to it i laughed, because i knew you would get to the point where you would of rather not known.
Josh breaking games is one of my favorite things. It's a shame his uploads are only about once a month, but it's also a testament to just how much time he puts into them. The madman is a master of his craft and I hope he never stops.

i took joshes lizzard doggo launcher to a bit further, you can 'guide' them into the middle of the jump pad by using a couple of barriers and really get some accuracy, the lizzard doggos respawn after 3 days so this is a viable way of waste disposal....
I just remember him having to get up and walk away for a minute when he saw the pipe sprawl and laughing my *ss off. We gotta get DrawingXaos to watch this next.

Love the little tips you always share in the videos. Ive always struggled with the headlift so i used foundations to count, well now i know i can count those little lines on the pipes. Thanks :D
that is true, but other than that, the pumps give you an indication until where they give headlift. After you place a pump, if you look in the direction of flow, the pipe will have a blue hologram circle around the pipe in the maximum healift spot. This indication is only given when you are placing a pump (it shows for the one you are placing, and if you have any before, it will also show, so you know where to put the following pump)
A line between a genius and a mad genius is but a moral one. Your empathy diss allowed you to come up with such an efficient idea of sacrificing puppies to get rid of nuclear waste.

that is true, but other than that, the pumps give you an indication until where they give headlift. After you place a pump, if you look in the direction of flow, the pipe will have a blue hologram circle around the pipe in the maximum healift spot. This indication is only given when you are placing a pump (it shows for the one you are placing, and if you have any before, it will also show, so you know where to put the following pump)
