As long as the Warriors avoid the Lakers and Denver, they got a pretty good chance. They're still smaller compared to those teams.
Lakers won in OT by 1 point when it was full strength (and Corey Joseph! played 15 minutes). IMO, it's silly to pick either team. It's a total tossup if they meet in the play in.
No that’s far from the truth. Lakers didn’t have Vando or Vincent that game (and most of the season). Those are their main perimeter defenders. Perimeter defense has been their main weakness because of injuries. Offense been elite since February. Lakers have another level that they’ll reach come playoffs.

Despite the wins, Judging warriors by the lopsided calls Luka was getting and they were not, and the calls Lebron teams have been getting vs everyone else, no way the league is going to allow warriors to compete against lakers this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if the foul disparity was 2-1 in favor of lakers.
The Warriors are in the same boat as the Lakers. They've been playing well the last 10 games, but they've just dropped too many games in the early part of the season.
Warriors are still a decent team but not at the championship level of years past. They're going to have to get into the playoffs through the play in format, which is a roll of the dice.
Depends on them they could definitely win out and finish anywhere from 6-10 seed, again depends on other 6-10 finish the last 8-9 games

Only advantage that Lakers have is that they never foul, while all other teams for some reason don't play proper defence and referees punish them with free throws. On that matter, Warriors are the worst - they attack the paint more, less, the same as Lakers, but Curry and company never get free throw. When I say never, Warriors is on the 30th place, i.e. last in FT attempts, while Lakers is on the number one spot, i.e. they get FT for almost every run to the paint. If you calculate all those discrepancies it turns out that most of the time Lakers is losing from Warriors, if both teams get similar amount of FTs, so the question for the play-in is whether NBA want fair game, or just LeBron in the playoff season.
Laker have almost double the number of free throws this season than the next team, the Bucks.

It will be interesting to see because the West is incredibly close this year. The average game wins between the 1 and 8 seeds from 2003-2023 is 18 and this year will be like 11. If Wiggins deliver GSW gets to the playoffs and will make a contest in any series. If Klay gets back they reach the conference finals. I’m a Warriors fan, that series Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. were out for injury. Doesn’t mean they would have won but it wasn’t the Champ roster Denver has now.

2 things for a little note, check the schedule, easy wins. Also, look at the free throw disparity. It’s laughable how the Lakers get all the calls, compared to the rest of the field. Face it, the NBA wants the prestigious franchise in the playoffs. Even over the Warriors..who get the least amount of calls.
