The media was so quick to tear down the pairing of Luka & Kyrie. Now they have no choice but to give them well deserved props
Honestly better they give props than most of the media continuing to disrespect Rudy.
The Hoop Collective podcast with Windy literally tried to warn Dallas and predicted he would end up being a cancer to the team. I’m personally glad Ky is making these mf’s eat their words.
They never tore down the pairing, they tore down Kyrie. Hey, I agreed with the media on this one. Watching Kyrie force his way out of Cleveland, then the dumpster fires that he left in Boston and Brooklyn, it was hard to take him seriously anymore. Don't forget that he randomly disappeared from Brooklyn multiple times without consulting the team before the whole vaccine fiasco (around when Harden was traded there).
Kyrie hasn't had a meaningful basketball moment since the 2017 playoffs (well, one game against the celtics in 22 before he disappeared again). His teams have fallen apart and he has been embroiled in a bunch drama. He is an aging 2 gaurd.
They weren't wrong with thier observations. Their opinion was built off of a ton of evidence. And their opinion turned out to be wrong. I for one am truly happy that my opinion is wrong. I love watching an engaged Kyrie on the court. But its not like the NBA media was blasting him out of nowhere.

Mavs in 6 was my prediction before the series, and I saw nothing last night to change that. 2 headed monster at center. 2 legit superstars. Playing 9 guys, which means it keeps our main guys fresh (just wish we had Maxi healthy). And DJJ/PJ stepping up all postseason long when it's needed the most.

Thats some pure bs. Lebron has always praised Kyrie's ability during their tenure together and allow him to cook whenever he wants. In fact, they have such a great partnership and it was a pity that some misunderstanding caused them to break up but Kyrie himself admitted that he was still quite immature at that stage and looking back, he would have loved to play with Lebron again which he did but Brooklyn chose to trade with the Mavs.
