Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I'm currently in Bolivia having just done Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Your older Colombia videos were the first I watched of any youtuber so this has come full circle for me, excited to see your travels! :)
Question for you if you happen to know - the Covid vaccination requirements - does the "full vaccination" include boosters or is it just the main doses? I've seen a couple conflicting things.
@@brushandbird I'm not entirely sure sorry! ( I have had my booster). It might depend which country and how you are entering? Bolivia did not ask for any evidence at land border, Peru were very strict I had to show evidence to get in H&M haha
@@laurenbell1576 oh wow intense lol. No worries! I think the main dose + a booster will suffice for Colombia but I thought I saw something that said you need 40% of booster doses which was confusing.
Respect for emerging yourself in the language! I'm learning spanish now as well for my South America trip in 2023 and I kind of underestimated the difficulty of learning a new language... But it's also so so so incredibly beautiful :)
in the same boat with Spanish for 2023, so hard! She makes it look so easy I'm impressed
consider learning Armenian or Vietnamese and you'' see Spanish easier, not because I'm a native speaker.

Nice work on that hike! I have to say though, I much preferred the camera quality image of the DJI. This one doesn’t perform as well with stabilisation and low light, when you were making coffee you could tell with the grain that the GoPro was struggling. Appreciate you trying out new tech though, I’m waiting for the “perfect” vlog camera for those of us vloggers who aren’t super cinematic but still want quality! Honestly the iPhone camera is underrated, I find the stabilisation so good for vlogging on the go.
Omg TOTALLY agree, I had the GoPro on the wrong settings for this video, so hopefully should improve in future vids!

wait how do you extend lay overs? ... do you find a flight through skyscanner, see where the lay over is and then book two separate flights for instead? or is there an easier way to extend?

hi, did U climb by yourself to Monserrate? you're brave, many foreign tourist including Spanish speaking rarely try to go on foot to the top.
I did go by myself, yes 😊 I passed quite a lot of tourists on the trail so I certainly wasn’t the only one!

Hi Christianne! I’m thinking of heading to Colombia around feb and have been watching your old video guides on it. I noticed you have your phone out quite a lot for directions on hikes etc - is this okay in touristy areas? I struggle with directions for the most part even with maps so am trying to figure out how best to approach this!

Best to take a burner phone for the maps. A cheating Samsung galaxy S7-S9 will do the trick. Save your other phone for work only at your accommodation

Oohh that’s a good idea!
Every airport has a map available online on their on websites that is usually interactive, which lets you get an idea of where things are. Some even have time estimates for how long it will take you to get from security to a certain gate. I always study airport maps before trips, especially for ones that I’ve never flown to or am not that familiar with. It’s super helpful. Also gives you a good idea of what food offerings are about so you can plan accordingly.

I need your advice because right now I'm in Colombia and I want to go to Mexico next month for a 3-4 months period to explore this beautiful country, I want to find a place with beach, quiet, safe, with nature, with good WiFi (because I work remotely) and not too touristic (certainly not a party destination) and more or less cheap because I have a set budget😊

Netflix don’t work with VPN’s anymore😢
I learned that if you use a credit card that is clearly from another country, the VPN setting to a different country doesn't really work anymore. I think it still does for America, but I'm not sure which other countries it actually works for anymore (if any). I wish people running these ads wouldn't mention that aspect of it anymore for this reason. Some of them have to be residents of the countries where they know the VPN thing doesn't work for this, but they include it in the ad anyway. So it's false advertising.

I have a few questions if you don't mind. Did you take a rapid test/PCR test prior to your traveling? Were you fully vaccinated and received the boosters prior to your travels? And were you or are traveling even though COVID-19 is still a threat? Do you know if Colombia is in the high risk range or were there any warnings posted by the British government? Thank you
You don’t need a test, I think you do need to be vaccinated though which I of course am. Covid 19 will always be a threat my love, we have to learn to live with it 😊
