The media have again forced Everton's hand to appoint a manager who isn't right for them. Dyche is a good guy, but I now fear for Everton. I feel like they've employed him for next year in the championship.
I have tried. But Keown is dross at this game. Confuses Harding your opinion and guarding your option with intellect and further supporting evidence other than what he shout at the first turn of asking…
Of course all focus needs to be on survival and relegation would be devastating but in my opinion Everton need to commit to Dyche long term no matter what happens. If they do go down he will lead them quickly back up and can really start a long term project
Exactly what I was going to say your spot on it’s so demoralising as a player to have so many managers come and go, I worked at a depot once that was used as a training ground for managers and we’d get a new manager every year to 18 months and they all want to do things a little differently it’s awful!

I think its a sensible and obvious choice for Everton and even if they go down, he has the tools and capabilities to get them back up
He isn't at all. Dyche plays throwback football from 20 years ago. He plays like all the teams used to play 20 years ago (even the top teams), before Wenger and foreign coaches came in. 4-4-2. No playing out from the back, no risks in defence, no going back to the goalkeeper (and if they do, he boots it downfield), boot it down the pitch if you're under pressure. Get it wide and put crosses in. Lots of focus on set pieces and having big men in the team. Big man up front to hit long balls up to. And get it down and play football when you can. He did a very good job but he also got relegated once and was on course to be relegated again. Played crap football and he's only been at 2 clubs. Never taken over a team midway into a season before. Why not just get Allardyce instead, who is better and more proven at parking the bus to safety?

What you're saying is, if Burnley stayed with Dyche after relegation, would he have done "a Kompany" and changed eveloved his philosophy and would he have stuck with that Man City style if he'd have got them promoted ? Also, will Kompany stick with that same style in the Premier League on a similar budget as Dyche had ?
Just watched his coaches voice video on this platform, superb choice 👌 👏 As for Keowns comments, we got frustrated with Moyes, but did we end up missing him?
They should have sacked Lampard weeks ago and given Dyche a bit of backing in January. As it stands that squad is atrocious and even if they pick up a bit, they have the least number of wins in the prem and I’ve always thought of Dyche as a guy that turns losses into draws not draws into wins (which is what they really need) 🤷🏻♂️
They've made the same mistake as last season. Stuck with Benitez into January, he sells Digne and brings in El Ghazi. Then they sack him and the new manager doesn't want El Ghazi and would have rather kept Digne
Football is all about winning and you can only do the best you can with what you've got. For example would Pep have done any better considering the players and constraints at Burnley ?. Evertons finances will improve and Sean Dyche will be working with better players in time. He knows tactics and how to get the best out of players, they will be under no illusions as to their roles on and off the pitch. Good luck Sean and welcome to Everton !
Interesting opinions on Dyche, but in the time I’ve seen him, he has done nothing to make me think he is the right man for Everton. Managing Burnley is easy cos they had little expectations. Everton’s fans have high expectations and I cannot see Dyche saving Everton.
Whoever said dyche never played good football at Burnley must have never watched us. We had some goals with 20+ passes and others where every player touched the ball in build up. He worked on a tiny budget under Garlic and got us European football. He’s a great manager.
Sean dyche will fix Everton and I’ll give them 3 years and they will be a top side again he will have money to spend and will have the players to express his brand of football
Dyche plays crap football, permanent 442 which is fine if you’ve got the players but Burnley scored less than a goal a game average! It’ll be defensive, he won’t want a new winger because he thinks McNeil is great, when he’s absolute shite! Dyche won’t attract good players, we won’t get a good forward, winger or mid in because they won’t want to play for a 19th place team under Dyche! So underwhelming!
Dyche would have brought in Chris Wood had he been appointed a few weeks ago. I don't think he knows of any other players he thinks he could rely on for goals. Andy Carroll maybe?
Everton are in real trouble though. They've just played 3/4 teams around them and looking at the table, I don't see who they drag into it. Maybe Forest go on a bad run, maybe Leeds, maybe Leicester, but I don't think so. It's going to be a really difficult job. Lampard was an awful appointment.
This is just another short term fix. That's probably what they need now but Sean Dyche wont be the man to take Everton forward and into their new stadium.
@@Jimbocorny He said Dyche never got Burnley playing good football whereas Kompany has. That was a stupid take given it's a new team in a lower league.

Dyche was never really given money to evolve the squad. Kompany has a few players from last season but he's definitely bought it players that are more suited to what he (Kompany) is trying to achieve at Burnley. Plus I think implementing a style of play is easier in the championship seeing as margin for error is larger than it is in the Premier League. Carrick at Middlesbrough would be an example of this.
I kind of agree with Martin (which for me is rare) in that he has not evolved tactically. Kompany has taken that Burnley side, added a particular set of players that Dyche could have gotten in his tenure, and playing better stuff. However, Everton don't want to be aesthetically pleasing at this moment, but they will be if and when he saves them, they will need the next step. Bielsa's a 'one trick pony'. His 'my way or the highway' attitude simply does not survive in the modern PL. Once the mystique of his head-on approach fails his box of tricks is empty.
Pep would get worse results than Dyche with this squad. He only has one way of playing. That's why he only goes to the top clubs that can spend billions of pounds.
I think its a good choice, theirs more talent on thus team than the players been showing, Dyche will put them in the place, will it be good enough to stay up is another story
Keown's comments haven't held up very well in regards to Kompany. Yes you can play possession football in the Championship when you have decent players but he's being found out in the Premier League now
Martin. He was manager of Burnley. What do you expect? Dyce can least hold his own. Martin never managed just judges from the sidelines (abit like my comment here).
Keown is talking out of his posterior..............saying Dyche went because he couldn't do with them what Kompany has. Kompay changed the team, bought different players and is playing in The Championship!! Surely Keown knows that and questioning Dyches ability smacks of mere "bucking the trend" ism because almost everyone thinks Dyche gets a bad press and is better than he's given credit for. So what is Keown on about?
If Burnley hadn't sacked Sean Dyche they'd had stayed up! And now Burnley has a different squad of players who didn't play for Dyche!? He'll do a great job at Everton
Dyche will keep Everton up but they'll just be a mid table team. That's why Pulis and Big Sam are unemployed, supporters don't like that brand of football anymore.
Desperate team desperate manager perfect match. No good coach can take that Everton job bottom of the log. Reputation is everything in good coaches that Everton job has the potential on ruining CVS.
Sean Dyche has a 28% win rate in the Premier League and only just breaks 50% "not losing" if you take draws into account. He is not keeping Everton up in half a season.
Typical shpiel From Keown Kompany worked for Guardiola as a player that makes a great manager well sorry like the presenter said he's managing in the championship
This man WILL keep us up, I believe.. Just hope the board dont then decide, like they did with Allardyce, that we're then suddenly in a position to go flying forward (upward) and give the man who turned things around more time, at least, like another season to consolidate that... Off-putting for future potential managers, and also sudden pretentions of grandeur is ABSOLUTELY NOT where we need to be at.. Moshiri's 'baby' of the new stadium, moreover most of the players fit to grace it, are still some way off yet...
Martin is out of his depth. Norwich was playing flowing football in the championship and won the league a couple of times, then come the premier league, see how they did with their flowing football?!
Dyche, Agent Rafa without the wins 6 straight defeats later , he will be gone The Squad does not have enough thugs for thug football Iwobi go break someones legs (Ben Mee) as if !
Martin had a problem listening to other people and needs to listen to what Sean said on several occasions. He did not have the best players (quality not effort) and is the best person for the job. However Everton have screwed themselves with buying too many player,s breached the FFP and can't buy any players so I hate to say this they will not make it because they don't have the quality of the players and can't get anybody in. I hope they stay up but feel they are doomed because of the mistakes of the past years.
Keown is talking nonsense, Kompany is in a different league and has basically and different team to dyche, so the idea he got the same team playing good football is wrong.

Dyche is world class, he’ll save Everton.
Is that you Dwight?
Dyche would do well even with limited resources than Lampard.
I think its a good choice, theirs more talent on thus team than the players been showing, Dyche will put them in the place, will it be good enough to stay up is another story
keown chatting absolute crap. kompany brought in a load of new player🤣🤣🤣🤣
He can't work miracles, apart from Pickford, the rest are championship quality.
Dyche will relegate Everton because EPL has processed from the time that he could result by just kicking under the ball
Sean dyche is the right men . He knows how the Premier League works . He brought Burnley to the Premier League. He can bring the best out of Everton.
As long as Kenwright doesn't ditch Dyche at the first emergency...then all might be well..and relegation avoided
Burnley are in the championship, comeback when Kompany gets them in the Premier and servive.
Is Keon OK?
The current Burnley squad is completely different to the side that he had in the Prem and.. wakey wakey mate.. it was the prem
If Burnley hadn't sacked Sean Dyche they'd had stayed up! And now Burnley has a different squad of players who didn't play for Dyche!? He'll do a great job at Everton
burnley doing it in championship.lets see how kompany does if burnley gets promoted to premier league.look at norwich manager, why did he got sacked ?
Dyche will keep Everton up but they'll just be a mid table team.
That's why Pulis and Big Sam are unemployed, supporters don't like that brand of football anymore.
Desperate team desperate manager perfect match. No good coach can take that Everton job bottom of the log. Reputation is everything in good coaches that Everton job has the potential on ruining CVS.
Sean Dyche has a 28% win rate in the Premier League and only just breaks 50% "not losing" if you take draws into account. He is not keeping Everton up in half a season.
Kompany has them playing well in the Championship. Big difference. When they come up he won't be able to play like that or they'll be spanked weekly.
I was hoping Everton would employ Beilsa so I could put £500 on them getting relegated and just wait till May to collect my winnings
Kompany doesn't have the same players Dyche did, Keown talking crap!
Keown showing no idea about lower level prem teams and the capabilities of the club , im a Liverpool fan and I think this is the right appointment.
Martin is out of his depth. Norwich was playing flowing football in the championship and won the league a couple of times, then come the premier league, see how they did with their flowing football?!
Martin didn't appreciate that dig at Kolo haha
Dyche, Agent Rafa without the wins
6 straight defeats later , he will be gone
The Squad does not have enough thugs for thug football
Iwobi go break someones legs (Ben Mee) as if !
We know dyce is like big Sam not the best manager but better than what Everton have had.He will keep them in the prem Keown is a useless pundit
From Ronald Koeman,Marco Silva,Rafa Benitez,Carlo Ancelotti to Lampard now Sean duchye from Europa league to championship preparation!
Boring football come to goodison Dyche awful manager ! will keep them up but then back to the usual waffle and drab football . Good for us .
