I am introvert too... I hate job interviews. It feels so unnatural and I feel like crap afterwards for hours... or even the next day.
This is so introverted that he got his brother to call. (Introverts hate phones).
Great tip to "ask for the job" and make it plain that the interviewee really wants it. When I was interviewing candidates for a Reporting Analyst there was a candidate who said "This is the perfect job for me! This is exactly what I have been looking for!" I hired her and she was fantastic. I'll never forget her saying the job was "perfect" for her. Over the next two years she proved it every single day.
I'm 100% introverted, but for interviews I put my extrovert mask on.
Yes! Ask for the job! It has worked every time for me. I am an introvert, but after you do this once, it gets easier.
Sorry but the most important things to prepare in my opinion are your answers for the personal questions. Especially as an introvert... what are your strenghts/weaknesses, how do you handle conflicts, tell me about a time when you had to make a difficult decision, what is important for you at your job, why do you want this job, why do you not want to work at your current job anymore etc. All the things about the history of the company and shit are not that important.
Introverts are good at preparing
but executing it is a different story ... 😔
So glad that I can now watch the show instead of always listening in on the podcast 🤙🏽
Tips for shy people who don’t like bragging about themselves? Which is what a job interview is, gotta sell yourself but I hate that
I just go blank and talk gibberish when I am asked a question at an interview. I regret it so much ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
Im curious if he got the job
I wish I was as outgoing and confident as you
Excellent advice!
Prepare. Ask questions. Ask for the job. Smile.
Hardly any original advice.
Doesn’t mean it’s not great advice!
