  • It was a crazy busy week on the farm. Alan and his brother were busy planting our last field of oats and new seeding. Alan had the 1256 International on the press drill, and our 820 John Deere on the Brillion. Back at the farm we had 2 new calves born, and Alan went to check on our corn and oats to see how they are growing.

      That makes me sad to hear. I grew up in the Sheboygan area and I’ve been to Brillion before. I always loved the equipment they made, thought the color scheme was unique and cool. Anyway I guess Brillion is still made by Landoll, right? Do you know where they are made?

    The brillon seeder does a better job than a roller. I had a small 10 foot model. It was very old but we always had a good catch. If we planted oats we used our old Van Brunt seeder and like you do we used the Brillion with grass seed to roll the ground. Like your videos.

    That 10' Brillion seeder looks real handy to have around despite being a little awkward to move from field to field. The ol' IH 1256 sounded pretty good. As did the ol' John Deere 820. Congrats on the 2 new calves on the ground & going. Looks like you guys have a pretty good dairy herd going there. I don't know much when it comes to the dairy breeds but, looks like you've got 2 or 3 different breeds there. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.

    Hello from Massachusetts!! So fitting that I found y’all on Trinity Sunday 🙏 What advice could you give to a family who had to give up their farm about 3 years ago due to low milk price? We have been so broken-hearted and miss our farm tremendously. We would love our farm life back any advice on how we can make that happen? Thanks for your time and our family is enjoying your videos here on this Trinity Sunday 🥰

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  4 роки тому +3

      Not sure we have any advice, but we are so sorry that happened to you. We've come close a few times, but were lucky enough to take some off farm work here and there to help make it through. We've always thought that if we had to quit milking we would still keep a few cows around to milk for our needs, and then have some beef cows. I totally understand how broken hearted you feel. Farming is a life like no other. I wish you the best, and pray that God gives you the opportunity to start farming again.
