I love this stuff! I have been using it for a couple months now. I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin and it has been a dream. I spot conceal before applying and then put on two layers and am good to go!
I just picked this up last week and I like it! I've been using BM BareSkin but got tired of the liquid because it takes entirely too long and I wanted something light. The BarePro is lovely. It does give me a light skin feel finish and covers the light blemishes I have. I have oily skin on the t-zone and a dry chin area and this works well for me. I've tried this trick of using setting spray first, primer, setting powder, foundation, then setting powder again and you can't even tell I had oily skin! It was like night and day! Also, I love that you did this foundation! I haven't found anyone with my skin tone who had done a review and finally just gave in and got it. I love all of your videos 💚
I've been using Bare Pro for about three months now, and for me it's the best foundation I've ever used. I also love that bare minerals products come in a wide variety of shades. I have super fair skin, and with a lot of cosmetics companies, the lightest shade of foundation/powder can even be too dark for me. With Bare Pro, I use the shade Fair (the lightest for this product), and I stipple it on with the bare minerals core coverage brush and a beauty blender. Since I have an oily T-zone, I set it with Cover Girl's Clean oil control pressed powder, and I finish with Mirabella perfecting powder. As someone who usually does not like wearing foundation (makes my skin feel like it can't breathe), I am very impressed with Bare Pro. It is very easy to work with, takes a short amount of time to apply, does not cake, and does not feel or look like I'm wearing foundation. It gives me the flawless complexion that I love.
I have combo skin and this foundation works really well for me. I'm in the shade light neutral. Most of the time I use it for a sheer coverage, just something to even out the redness in my face, but I can build it up with ease.
I had 6 years using Estée Lauder Double wear and 2 years using Mac Fix and you I emocionaste with this review and I went running to buy it with the foundation color Toffee compact powder Pecan 19 Bare mineral is super good!😍 I feel sophisticated.
I tried the mineral foundation before and it made my face look very gray and ashy. The color match was off too so I got a refund and never used Bare Minerals again. However, the foundation did look good on you, so I may give it another try😉
I love this video! It's not too long, it's informative and you are acting like a sweet person. I also love the fact that you blot and show that! I hate it when beauty bloggers that get really oily just powder on top without blotting! I mean, who DOES that? Anyway, great video even though I am late to the game... :-)
I just got mine today! cocoa 30. I love bare minerals! I'm excited to see how it wears on my skin tomorrow. ive always worn the loose mineral powder. I'm excited!!!
I would recommend letting an oil set on your skin underneath and/or a hydrating primer but it could work! I reviewed the Colorescience powder foundation a little while back and I think that would be even better for dry skin!
New prescriber from UK! Loving your video series 😊 This looks amazing and I have combination skin but extra extra oily t-zone 😑 but this looks like it can really work! will definitely order it!
I'm glad you liked it, and as you said, it isn't the best for oily skin. I've noticed that coming back to Newfoundland my skin has gotten a bit oilier in my T-zone, especially my nose, and the foundation tends to breakdown there.
thanks for the review !!! i went to sephora last week and saw this powder foundation i literally swatch on my finger onto my face to see if it covered my dark spots and IT DID !! but they didn't have my shade on stock ! Your review convinced me more to buy this product :D It looks awesome on your skin
Hi Samantha! I love your series and was wondering if you are planning on doing a final ranking of all the foundations you have tried? Right now I want to try almost all of them!
Gorgeous foundation, I thought I had found my holy grail. BUT... it breaks me out. Horrible cystic acne on my chin. I'm so sad, especially as it's not cheap. I've never had this sort of reaction with makeup, not even powder foundations from drugstore brands. Anyone has recommendations? :(
hi from Rosie in Perth, Western Australia, this is probably a silly question but can you set a powder foundation with a mattafying powder such as the rimmel stay matte or would that be pointless?
The brush that you are using can greatly affect the finish. Bare Minerals has a brush specifically designed for this foundation. It's called the Core Coverage Brush. One sweep with this brush could possibly cover better than 4 with the brush you used, which looked like it had loose or fluffy bristles. Stiffer the bristles the fuller the coverage when it comes to powders.
I came into this one thinking "No matter what I would never want to try this" I think this is actually my favorite of the ones you've done so far! I'm going to have to see if I can color match myself and pick one up when I'm off my no buy in the summer.

It is great!! I am wearing it today lightly to set a liquid foundation and I love it that way too!

Oh really!!! This one seems to have a verrry wide shade range in this line so maybe it could work better!
chococat178 I tried it he original powder 5 years ago and looked green..yes green. I have this powder and I am in love
I'm so glad I came across your channel a few months ago. I feel you are the best at these reviews.
Aw you are too sweet Brenda, thank you!! xx
I have oily skin and I’ve been using this I have to blot every 4 hours or so. I don’t really like it for my skin 🥺

Oh perfect! It's a great smooth powder :)
yes it is
I have been seeing the ads for so long! And finally we have a review! Thank you! What do you think of it for dry skin?
I would recommend letting an oil set on your skin underneath and/or a hydrating primer but it could work! I reviewed the Colorescience powder foundation a little while back and I think that would be even better for dry skin!
Samantha Jane thx!

Thank you so much!!! I really like this, not the absolute longest wearing but it has a beautiful finish
Could you do a Review on the original bare minerals powder foundation please i would really appreciate
I'm glad you liked it, and as you said, it isn't the best for oily skin. I've noticed that coming back to Newfoundland my skin has gotten a bit oilier in my T-zone, especially my nose, and the foundation tends to breakdown there.
I have been loving to set foundations with it!!
I've had a pretty good go at this one, but I'm thinking of buying a cushion compact. I might do as you do and set it with this.
Do you find that the mac powder foundation controls oil better?
thanks for the review !!! i went to sephora last week and saw this powder foundation i literally swatch on my finger onto my face to see if it covered my dark spots and IT DID !! but they didn't have my shade on stock ! Your review convinced me more to buy this product :D It looks awesome on your skin
Oh yay!!!
If I use powder foundation should I put the cream blush before or after the powder foundation?
I tried their loose matte formula back in the day and it made my skin tight. I haven't tried anything from them in a long time.
I haven't dabbled with them much at all!
I had a mini one of these. Loved it to lightly set my face. I have dry skin, so I can't use powder foundations as actual foundation. 😞
I used it to set my face today, loving it!!
Hi Samantha! I love your series and was wondering if you are planning on doing a final ranking of all the foundations you have tried? Right now I want to try almost all of them!
Yes! It will be up within a week
can you use this powder to set your foundation?
Hi, which would you recommend for powder foundation between katvond and baremineral please?
Gorgeous foundation, I thought I had found my holy grail. BUT... it breaks me out. Horrible cystic acne on my chin. I'm so sad, especially as it's not cheap. I've never had this sort of reaction with makeup, not even powder foundations from drugstore brands. Anyone has recommendations? :(
what's the best powder foundation you've found for oil control?
MAC Studio Fix!
Does any one have dry skin and use this foundation
Hi! Can you try the almay 4 in 1 clear complexion foundation??
I feel like it won't come in my shade but I'll look into it!~
Loving your review!!!
Thank you!!
Which would you recommend, between the Bare Minerals Bare Pro Powder foundation and the Sephora Matte Perfection Powder Foundation?
I know this is an old video but would you prefer this or the Kat von d lock it powder foundation
I've reviewed the lock it and didn't like it
Samantha Jane hi I know this reply is late but is it possible to apply this foundation with a beauty blender
Thank you so much for this!!
Thank you for watching!!!
I use toffee too in BMPro. Finally someone helped me. What is your blush? And your concealer?
Oh perfect!!! Everything I'm wearing is listed in the description :)
I just go straight for the palest shade 😅 I have almost white skin
hah that makes life semi easier?
Would u recommend this for acne/dry/sensitive skin? X
If your skin is dry and you are looking for a powder, I recommend the colorescience ua-cam.com/video/aimWJ4dI0wc/v-deo.html
I just bought mine yesterday from Ulta as I'm visiting the states (I live in Canada) and excited to start using it. It looks great on your skin:)
I've been using this for 3 years best decision for my skin its great
Ohhh that’s awesome!
Do you think this would wear well over liquid foundation for that "extra" coverage look?
Totally, I am wearing it today over my Covergirl Clean Matte BB
hi from Rosie in Perth, Western Australia, this is probably a silly question but can you set a powder foundation with a mattafying powder such as the rimmel stay matte or would that be pointless?
You could, but there isn't really anything to set!
Perhaps take it along to blot if needed, otherwise it may look too powdery initially
The brush that you are using can greatly affect the finish. Bare Minerals has a brush specifically designed for this foundation. It's called the Core Coverage Brush. One sweep with this brush could possibly cover better than 4 with the brush you used, which looked like it had loose or fluffy bristles. Absolutely! However with powder I like the finish/coverage I get with this RT brush! I have denser ones when I want to amp it up!
Hi! What was the best one you've tried? Please and thank you! :)
I like a lot of them for different reasons! I did a wrap of the 12 I tried: ua-cam.com/video/evB2uvzXius/v-deo.html
Looks beautiful. I wonder how the matte powder would've held up. I understand you don't like loose so I'll investigate!
I'd be interested to try that!! I just know I wouldn't reach for it often, unless I had great results
It looks so good!!
Hi can you review the Fiona Stiles Matte Finish Foundation? It's available at Ulta
No Ulta in Canada :( but I will try and track it down!
I Just love it. I wear Sateen and it's fabulous. This isn't meant to be buffed.
It's great! How do you apply it? On the site it mentions buffing and I really like how it applied for me that way
Oooo I like this one!
Me too!! I have been using it to set my foundation and loving that
What color is it
Mentioned in the video and listed/linked in the description
Thank you 😊!
Can you please try the nars all day luminous weightless foundation
I'll add it to my list!
I came into this one thinking "No matter what I would never want to try this" I think this is actually my favorite of the ones you've done so far! I'm going to have to see if I can color match myself and pick one up when I'm off my no buy in the summer.
Proud of you for a no buy :)) I have been loving this to set my face
What is the best powder foundation for oily skin? Thanks
I love the MAC Studio Fix Powder
i just tried that and it was amazing
Where's your choker from??
Langsura, it is a designer here in Toronto :)
Another winner. Not sure how it fare with my dry skin.
Hmmmm, the Colorescience Powder Foundation I reviewed a few months back may be better for dry skin - it felt almost creamy and had rose in it!
I'll definitely try this one :)
Hope you enjoy!! xx
Love this thanks
Thank you! xx
just found you channel i just subscribe to you channel
another winner i guess
Yes! I have bene using this one to set my liquids, love it that way
I would have thought your lighter than an nc42
NC 42 in studio fix liquid and 43 in the powder
Keep in mind there are bright studio lights which may make the complexion look lighter :)
Hi Lucas! :)
