Warning, Don't reuse any wiring that was even touched by any heat at all! Or you're going to be chasing electrical problems and it will be a lot harder to replace, do it while you can.
This is 1000% facts
He’s probably gonna gut the wires and use a holly or fuel tech to run everything.
@@dailydrivenrust8557 yeah these guys are professionals
Hopefully we'll get to watch Hillbilly re-wire his Harley someday soon. (HINT-HINT....Robby)
@Go away probably the same way I figured it out.
Hillbilly needs a "That's not going nowhere!" Tshirt to help fund the Bronco Dos build.
Is it just me or does HillBilly seem reluctant to accept help with his build?
@@whammond511 he excepts free parts without a problem...
@@javabeanz8549 He seemed like he wanted to turn down those parts and offers of help to me. He said he had his own ideas when they told him about the supercharger. But maybe that just his way of expressing his gratitude. I don’t really know. But whatever he wants to do is what I think should happen.
We can't forget Dinners truck either. Robby is a great boss, that repays his crew for all their effort. Yea!, Robby. And Mrs. Layton for her unfailing support!
And the Rokons...
Even if she says he's WRONG ;0)
@@javabeanz8549 Teasing can be so healthy for a relationship... ; )
Boy I remember when I was able to take things apart and remember where they went back...Lucky Dogs...LOL
Thank you for featuring vice grips. Growing up every project featured those, a long flathead screwdriver, and a hammer.
One thing I learned working in a warehouse - if your lift tires are worn, there's other things it needs. Take it in to get serviced by a pro. Worth it.
Take a look at Jeep Speed Shop’s Hemi V8 swap kit. We did a 5.7 truck hemi & 8 speed swap in our JK. Perfect swap that drives and looks factory. Super nice!
My daughter and I loved meeting you at the Expo! We really appreciated you taking the time talking to us about Aiden’s truck. Thank you 😊 - Bryan
No Problem at all!
One bolt at a time and it will all come apart. Thanks for taking us along.
Good job Guys Can’t wait to see Hillbillies Bronco
Hey hillbilly. Thanks for the tip to drive over mt. Nebo. It was an awesome drive. We really enjoyed it.
More crew time on screen, the real hard workers. Less SHOW, more KNOW ! Educational detail. Thank you.
Watching Robby and crew waiting for this hurricane 🌀. Thanks for helping to break up the wait
Stay safe if you’re in the path!!
The excitement when a new video is uploaded. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
You have to get every scrap of heated up parts replaced or you'll be smelling burnt stuff every time you hop in it.
You guys make a great team, that's how you're able to get so much done in a short amount of time.
that wiring and box you think is an alarm is an adapter harness for the factory MyGig radio to work in that Jeep, it allows the use of newer factory MyGig radios in older vehicles, it also bypasses things like allows dvds to play while driving, it also adds a backup camera
Wow what a bunch of wires to mess with. I'd hate to be on the line installing those.
should try to get all three of them trail ready so then all of you can have a vehicle to drive around and hillbilly can have his bronco would be cool to see all 3 of y'all out having fun
More than likely the seals in that supercharger are bad but you might be able to rebuild it before putting it on the bronco
What a Crispy Critter the Jeep is ! Thanks for sharing .
Better call that jeep Little SMOKIE!! ,good chance the smell will never be gone ,but glad you saved it for future trail use !
Not gonna lie. I thought it was going to be completely gone. When I saw Burnt Up I imagined the same shells I saw when I was working after the Santa Rosa fires.
This thing is an easy fix comparatively :)
Looking forward to seeing more videos soon. Fab on. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Hey Dinner...I got my T-shirt and Love it! I wore it when I was going out with some friends to dinner!
I also got my Golden Nugget photo book...the pictures are fantastic, and I got to help a tiny bit with the G.N. too. Demri You made a great book of memories
Great job guys....ripping apart and dismantling is my favorite part....however reassembling is another story...lol....thanks for all the hard work to share with us....filming and editing is so professional .....Awsome job!!
Up here in Salt Lake City in Highschool Auto Mechanics class we were instructed to refer to the entire system, engine, transmission, drive shaft, differential, axles as the "Drive line";... what you call the driveline in Ephraim and Glendale is actually the Drive shaft.....!
Hillbilly needs a nice ride. Bronco build would be sweet.
Nice to see you do something for your self
I'd love to see that supercharger on Hillbilly's Bronco...Fun!
The lock pick just opens the restraints on the factory radio allows you to do things you normally couldn't on the factory radio good to keep if your going back with the factory radio!
good job thats a hell of a lot of work
Robbie's personality makes the channel
That LockPick allows you to enter information on the navigation while driving or if the stereo has a factory DVD player you can watch videos while driving, I have that lockpick and it works well
i love my JK Robbie, this is exciting watching you guys do this build! Thanks
there is a penetrating oil named Kroil, the stuff works very well. I used it yesterday on a frozen CNC toolholder. It came right off after applying the Kroil.
Yeah, Kroil (which stands for Kerosene&Oil) has been around for a long time. Great stuff!! But there’s some others out there that are that good as well!!
PLEASE make some awesome merch with HILLBILLY featured on it! He is such a good man! I love him!
That "Lockpick" is an interface between a newer factory radio and an older car. I've run them in my 06 Magnums to run MyGig stereos.
Cost a pretty penny.
Awesome video Robby, Hillbilly and Dinner!!!
Suprised the minimal fire damage you should still replace all the electrical from the front clip & dashboard, great video you'll make this Jeep awesome thank's for sharing ❤😉👍
I'm sure it's been said, but if youre keeping any factory JK computer components you'll wanna keep that LockPick. It essentially allows you to make changes to the headunit programing, be able to run cameras, stuff like that.
unreal how little was damaged inside. So interesting to follow along a teardown. Can't wait to see what you have in storage for this JKU.
That "added on" electrical box is for an aftermarket rear camera that works with the OEM radio. I have a similar one. Also those are Bushwacker fender flares, you could get a set of fronts to match the existing rears. I have those too, they're nice and light weight.
Bushwacker only sells full sets of them. You can't get single ones.
@@DaffyDuc69 Maybe off the secondary market?
Hey Just met you guys today (Sunday) Forgot to get a picture with the three of you! Next time! Hope you got a little sleep Saturday night! Just want to say Thank you I do not think I did at the show. The skill and dedication you and you team exhibit is awesome! you guys were great to meet in person, hope you have the opportunity to make it to more shows! If I happen to make it to Utah I will make it a point to stop by! SO Thank you !
That burned to the floorboards Jeep will be looking like new in no time!
I;M REALY ENJOYING THE VIDEOS AND THE GREAT WORK THAT YOU AND YOUR CREW DO KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK;
I give it a year or less before Robby reaches a million subscribers. Great content keep it coming Robby and crew!
You two are dangerous!
Lock pick unit allows cameras and stereo video picture to be use in drive.
I love your content and you guys are naturals for UA-cam. Have you considered getting with “I do cars”? He tears down engines every week and to my knowledge he has never done one that has been in a fire. Thanks for all you do.
You guys got a lot done!! That demo work can be a real pain. I'm getting excited to see what all you're going to do with the Jeep!!
Awfully dark under the Jeep. More light please. Love the videos!
When you replace the dash, look up Caroboter and K1 head unit. The dash is already our, and it's an awesome upgrade.
It’s amazing how you guys get anything done with your other stuff! Energy Boys! Good Slogan, ehh!?
When pressure washing vertical surface, start at the bottom and work you're way up. That will help rinse off the debris and keep the operator dryer...
Midwest jeeps in Indiana has everything used jeep that you'll need, the even had a LJ frame for me!
Nice , I like it when a plan comes together.
Don't toss the Lockpick. It unlocks a bunch of features on the radio and NAV system.
eBay might be a good place to look for forklift tires. Also there might be a forklift junkyard in your area where you might be able to pick up some tires.
@robby layton The Locpick box is to add extra cameras to a factory style Chrysler Radio that does not offer a camera on select vehicles. (17 and older Jeep Jk) it also allows you to enable video in motion in cars that have DVD capabilities. I ran 4 cameras on my JKUR as crawl cams. super cool rig.
When Hillbilly comes to work sleepy you know he is installing the supercharger in his Bronco! Yea H.B.
So wish you guys where closer, like say Canada as I would have bought a lot of stuff of the Jeep for my wife’s Jeep. Awesome video as always 🤟😎
I'm willing to bet that safety recall was for an airbag recall.
Right! Chrysler had a whole bunch of vehicles with those faulty Tata Air Bags. The recall is still active if they’ve not been replaced.
Also what does a sick bird need?...tweetment😂
Drive shaft , drive line is the whole system tell Paul that too lol
I am so glad that you all are working on your jeep, yes it would be awesome to see what you di to the other one to, love you all and thank you for the spectacular Videos
Time to build a bronco!
Three builds sounds good!
Great video today boss!
yes get her done thanks for sharing
You have a great team Robby and you know it I am sure. Like watching and listening to y'all work together. So much more fun.
I hope you keep a jeep of your own.
Enjoyed the show.
Can't wait to see it finished. (the jeep)
Hillbilly needs his own channel… I want to watch him out that turbski on the bronco2!!!!
All of my Florida neighbors, Robby Layton fans, good luck with this storm coming in later today. Stay safe.
Thanks. You as well!!! My house is all paneled up and everything loose around the yard picked up and put away. We're never 100% ready, but we are as ready as we're gonna be! 🤙
@@abnpthfdr2934 I hope you and your family and friends survive unscathed!
Man you guys are so fun to watch.
Yes, try and get them both ready.
That looks like a lot of work. Keep it up.
its always fun to watch body men take jeeps apart.....
it must be same as watching a mechanic doing body work....
The bolts can't stick if they're liquid. I am amazed at the lack of damage. I can't say that I've ever responded to a "small" car fire. My favorites were when teenagers learned the importance of putting fuses in the circuits to their stereo amps and radios.
The first car I had, actually had a 15A (Factory spec) fuse for the AM only car radio. Thanks GMH
We need a bronco vs Cherokee build and shoot out. Hillbilly’s bronco vs Robbie’s red Cherokee. Come on, let’s do it!!!!
You guys really took that thing apart! Geez!
Can't wait to see the finished project. It's a bit early to talk about paint, but a cool idea would be to paint the front blue kind of V shaped, add some silver stripes along the blue, then paint the rest black.
I like the Vodka on the sandblaster. Nice
The A pillar switches are aftermarket! They are super sweet and I use them. They look oem plus. Just moved here to utah actually.
Lockpick is used to change the access to the headunit. Stuff like add a camera(s) and the ability to have the cameras on while the vehicle is in motion.
Wish something similar was available for Mazda, it's infuriating some of the stupid computer junk setup in my poor new car.
If I were you I'd go with hydroboost brakes since you need a booster and master and I'm guessing you'll have some power steering upgrades for hydro assist or something. Some people don't like hydroboost though and I haven't seen many people install it on newer jeeps but I like it especially when your installing bigger axles/brakes you can set up your master cylinder to the caliper size. It's definitely important to size your master cylinder properly to the calipers a lot of people run into problems with that.
Put that old dash assembly in the Bronco 😃
You should build your cage so you can still use the two removable roof portions from the passenger and driver's compartment as removable roofs obviously
Finding a wrecked donor would make things alot easier to put it back together then trying to find all the little parts.
Robby, them forklift tires are FINE. lol
You should reach out to the previous owner and interview them about the life of this jeep
All that mystery wiring in the dash that was added in-I recognized it. It’s a DIY remote start setup, and they are a BEAR to clean up when the “installer” goes about it like that…
The Lockpick is not a security feature. It is a device for the radio to enable video in motion and a few other features.
Never seen a burnt rebuild. Looking forward to seeing the finished product
I would like to see you guys do a makeover on Hillbilly’s Bronco
WhooooHooò let's give ya a watch! Thanks folks!
Both!!! You guys are inspiring me to get back to work on my 86' Grand Wagoneer. It was my 1st new family car and I still have it. Doesn't look the same though! Thanks to Rory I decided to keep the leaf spring suspension for now. I need an LS swap!! California smog shops hate testing my fuel injected modified AMC 360. Even though it passes the sniff test with flying colors!!
Off to a good start.
In New England we get the torch out before the wrenches if it is more than 2 years old
In MI everything is rusted within 15 days!! We use torches after all our penetrants don’t work. But we just heat them up. Then they come loose and aren’t destroyed. And Antiseize is our friend when they go back together!!
Urgent safety recall. If this work is not done, your vehicle may burst in to flame.
I presume Demri edits y'alls videos, what a great team!!!!
