Honestly this just makes me feel seen. I know UA-camrs make more money than the “normal” public so I appreciate your transparency and makes us feel more connected to you. Budgeting is hard! You’re doing great❤
I am not blaming anyone but our society in general….. I just find it very disheartening as a Registered Nurse for many years….. that I make a lot less money saving lives and caring for sick people when influencers make so, so much more than I make 🤦🏼♀️ 4:22
Thank you for sharing something so vulnerable in your vlog, Ash! It honestly is so refreshing to hear that influencers are real people and have money struggles too. Loved hearing about that side of your life, and love that you came up with a budgeting tool that works for you! ❤
It's so refreshing to see an influencer be real about money. From the outside it always seems like social media influencers have endless amounts of cash and can buy and do anything they want. Which I know isn't true but it definitely comes off that way for a lot of people. I grew up in a low income household and we managed just fine. I carry those habits with me in adulthood even though I make pretty good money now. A trick that helps me when I am deciding whether I should buy something or not is telling myself "I will never regret when I DON'T spend money, I will only regret making impulse purchases for things I don't need". Welcome to the budget girly club, Ashley 😊 you're doing great!
thank you for talking about $$ issues! i feel as if influencers/famous people do not shed light on day to day issues us ‘normal’ people have! i don’t know how to word it without coming across wrong but i don’t mean it any type of way other than i am very appreciative of you talking about the recession❤️ cause man i am struggling myself!! i have a budget planner i try to use! basically like an agenda but for $$! i got mine from tj maxx or something like that
thank you for talking about overspending on food! i've been feeling so alone not knowing how to reduce or restrain myself from the unnecessary spending, it was so nice hearing someone talk about it and give tips for once !
I don’t do the cash, but I make sure to write down every single time I spend. It doesn’t matter if it’s cash, credit, or debit card. Every 30 days, I do a review of my spending and see if I’m paying for something that’s not getting used or if I have been impulse buying. As a SAHM, it’s been so helpful.
Some banks have settings where you can set a budget by category and add tags so you can see where you’re spending the most and if you set a monthly budget it’ll alert you if you’re about to go over your set budget.
Hi! I’m a holistic yoga teacher that’s been following a minute, I also hate taking pain killers. Topical magnesium or magnesium flakes in the bath will help so much with muscle aches. Also! Tumeric capsules ( that also have added black pepper) are another natural anti inflammatory. I have cysts that had been causing me pain, and I also injured my shoulder. Along with gentle movement therapy, those were a god send. I hope you heal up well! 🖤
Ive never related so much! I have a stable job my husband works in production and we have felt the recession so we too are trying to budget with spending less especially with food! That is where all our money goes and try to limit our outside food & Alfred’s to once a week! Thank you for being so transparent and allowing us viewers to connect 💕 Hope to see some comments on budgeting too cause i need it 😂😮💨
I budget $40 for a week of groceries. I am a cash only person. I pay everything with cash. I don't own a car, or a television. I walk to most places like grocery store. My expenses are way less than some. If I go to the store and have more in my basket, then my cash. I have to put things back. I don't bring credit card to the store. I leave at home that way I stick to my dollar amount. I hardly ever use a credit card unless it's an emergency and have no choice. For a while, I did the cash envelope system allocating money in each envelope for groceries, gifts, hygiene items etc. It worked great for me and it was fun. Hope your shoulder feels better soon Ash. I know the rain has been alot lately. I feel the same way about being unmotivated and not wanting to do things.
What’s been working for me lately is using google sheets! It’s free and auto saves your work. Not sure how organized you’re wanting to be, but I’ll add upcoming due dates for bills and mark it yellow until it’s paid for the month. Once it’s paid, I mark it green. Seems like something small but has drastically helped with tracking my expenses. Hope this helps and thanks for opening up about this in your video! ❤
Hi! I’ve found the things that help me the most with budgeting are: (1) physically writing down in a budget planner every single transaction to see exactly what I’m spending my money on and (2) checking in weekly and monthly to make sure I’m on track with my monthly budget and overall financial goals! I’ve learned a lot from watching various budget UA-cam videos over the years (especially Sara Marie’s videos)!
Ashley!!! Love that you made this video. EVERYONE is feeling it, even if you don’t say it. Thank you for being so transparent and showing us it CAN be done ❤
I’m in my early 30s too and realized how much my body changed compared to when I was in my 20s.. listening to how Seed helped you throughout your gut health, perhaps I can try it out. And after seeing how you’ve been managing your finance- just, wow. I am inspired 😊 I’m gonna try some of your tips.
This was the motivating, empowering, and upbeat vlog that I needed for a mid week pick me up! Thanks for much Ashley for keeping me sain. The editing of the recap of downtown LA week for you was amazing. Fitting the gym in and work besides is incredible ❤🎉
Girl, I can not stress how much physical therapy is going to pay off. I had a similar shoulder injury (basically it got pulled out of socket, tore my labrum, and it never restablized). It took about 8 months of weekly physical therapy, but it really does make a huge difference. Learning how to restablize and work slowly on strengthening those muscles in injury-friendly ways will change everything. I can even sleep on that shoulder again! I never thought I could again because of how hard it was to sleep. It'll get better :)
Girl. I’ve got you! ❤ The budgeting thing is so relatable! I’ve been budgeting since new year as a New Year’s resolution. So far so good. I was spending so much money because I couldn’t keep track of my daily groceries spendings via my phone or creditcard. It helps me a lot to pay with cash because you can see the money you are spending. A little tip, I always do my groceries on a full stomach (sounds silly but when you are shopping with an empty stomach you have the tendency to buy more food) and once a week. I plan every meal in advance and create a shopping list based on the recipes of the week. Food prepping helps a lot too! Good luck with the budgeting adventure! ❤
I use purely cash and it has been abundantly helpful for me and my ADHD. Having cash physically in front of me that I can see running out makes me stick to a budget must better than i've ever managed with a card. It has saved me financially for the last year that I've been doing it
I'm glad that you are doing well and I hope your shoulder feels better soon. It crazy to see that LA is getting all that rain, I also listen to your podcast when it rain where I live at. Also Miss Meyer does sell the hand soap you can find them at target
Thank you for talking about money and budgeting 🎉 I find what helps is meal prepping. I can eat the same thing every day, so every Sunday I prep my lunches for Monday-Thursday. That way I have food already made and ready to eat and can’t waste it. Friday- Sunday is a bit trickier but we may eat out for lunch one of those days, but the rest of the food we make at home, whether it’s bacon and eggs for dinner or a can of soup 😂
I’ve been cash stuffing/budgeting/sinking funds for the past year with a budget binder from Amazon and it’s amazing. I now have money for when things come up such as car maintenance, birthdays, etc that I can use whenever I need it. It’s soooo helpful
Ash I love it when you do the cleaning montage with that song it’s just relaxing thank PS I hope your shoulder gets better send my love that’s a good tip about budgeting Xx
I take out cash once a month and budget out how much I need for groceries each week and it’s honestly so helpful knowing that money is there and usually I end up having extra money which I put towards savings. Thanks for being so vulnerable!
Thanks Ashley for sharing about the budget! I lived 4 years and half by myself in Toronto (very expensive city too), so I had to learn to budget. We moved in together few months ago and still being mindful about how I spend my money. I would say I try to consider how happy its going to make me, if its a quick purchase, quick happy moment and its gone or its something that would make my life easier, I could reuse a lot. For food, we both cook a lot and we see a difference, not only in our wallet but on our health. To be honest we also appreciate it more when we eat out because its like a treat and we make it a cute moment. Another thing is to be open about it with your closet friends so you also make smart decisions together when you want to eat out. Because eating out if often a way to socialize and see your friends. With my girlfriends we will find alternative, cook at home or go to a place that works with all of our goals. And its helpful too to learn how they are saving, we talk about banks and stuff (maybe its a newcomers things, most of us moved to Canada from France almost 10 years ago so we have no family here to help us with finances in Canada). Anyways, hope that helps and love the talk!
I really connected with you on this Vlog Ash. I always love watching you but I love honesty and being vulnerable with where you are at in the present moment. Thank you for sharing and I love seeing your days at home
money talk is so important!! I got a calender, and everyday I write down what I spent that day (excluding using giftcards/cash I already had). If I spent no money, I write down "zero" with a smiley face lol. I know I can see what I spent on my bank payments, but there is something about me writing down what I spent and where I spent it that helps put things into perspective. I LOVE the days where I can put down zero- I've even avoided buying a coffee just so I could. At the end of the month I write down how much I spent, how much $ I made for work, and how much $ I put into my school loan. Having a visual and writing it down myself has helped a lot- even if it's just to be more aware. love seeing this conversation because it's a struggle that everyone is going through!
Get a budget binder! its like a little notebook with envelopes so that you can allocate your money for different uses. like one you'll label gas, another groceries, another personal spending etc.
honestly the socal rain rly got me, too! certainly did not help any mental health struggles i had at the time. and gosh, i need the self-control you have with turning down unnecessary eating out plans.
I also have a huge fear of pain pills. When I had my wisdom teeth out I was terrified to take them because I was so irrationally scared I would get addicted (which obviously doesn’t happen if you only take them a few times but I couldn’t get past that). I don’t even take advil or Tylenol even though I know they are completely safe. I’m wishing you the best and hope your pain goes away :(
I love the budgeting talk! My husband and I have a budget for certain categories, but honestly, I think it's so important to label every single dollar. So that no dollar is just being placed in a random category and then you use that to buy clothes or fast food or whatever. So I do that with my paycheck each month, I assign it to a different category and then anything left over goes into my savings!
Loving the budget talk. I’m still struggling to balance it myself. haha I’m trying to do $100 a week on groceries alone because I’m feeding 3 people including myself but the lattes and stuff I try to order 1-2 times a week. Especially on my early mornings at work when I start at 7-8am I don’t have time to make my lattes from home or even to go. I use Google sheets as well more so to track groceries bills and rent between my housemates. As far as my personal spendings I use a journal Hope this helps ☺️
I'm a relatively new gateway watcher to your content (came from rem+alisha), and though im a few years younger than you, I really connect to your way of chatting through life. I'm trying to be super strict as I rent alone in Sydney (australia) which is getting really crazy over here, and i have a big trip planned end of the year - doing both is hard! I had to basically pre-allocate my budget at the start of the fortnight based on what i had in the calendar, if there was buffer money I knew I had a bit of wiggle for spontanoues plans, and if theres no buffer I knew already I couldn't do it as I didn't have the funds! Loved this vid ash
I understand what you mean about the pain killers. I don’t like to take them regularly either. That’s why I often withstand migraines, but when I had a serious injury, I really had to remind myself that these painkillers, not only take away the pain, but they also serve an anti inflammatory purpose which is very important for the healing process!! But I feel you, you will do fine if you listen to your body ❤️
I use every dollar for my budget, it helps you plan how to spend every dollar you make, & you can sync it to your bank account so that it will load your transactions
Hey Ashley! Hope you’re feeling better with your shoulders! Personally, I have kinda a similar issues with you for my shoulders. I’ve been going to TCM for acupuncture and it really helps the pain in my shoulders. I can move n sleep much better than before.
in no way diagnosing just offering my experience.. i had horrible shoulder pain.. ended up having a pinched nerve in my neck. went to physical therapy and it helped IMMENSELY! I now have some go to exercises when I have a flare up. Also, during the day I could make it thru pain wise.. but at night when u sleep oddly is the height of the pain 😢😢
I love the finance talk! I have entered a new season where I am making less than I have for years prior while also having moved to NYC to finish school, so I am def looking for ways to budget! Does $100 include your groceries as well?? I have tried to cut back and it feels impossible to not leave the grocery store spending less than $100/week, and then any extra coffees/ordered meals add up😅
I use cash only. It all depends on your budget but for me I only use $200 for two weeks. That includes gas, food, coffee, groceries, etc. Once that money is gone I have put in my mind that I am broke. Whatever else was in my check goes to bills and savings. It's helped me curb a lot of outrageous spending, it has also allowed me to dedicate time to other areas. Where I would typically go out shopping I go for a walk, phone a friend/family. Again it's all up to the individual but for ME it works. Hopes this helps!!
I budget on an excel spreadsheet. It helps to see where you're spending and the highest cost of categories. Those categories will be different from anyone else's. Try it out and see if it works! Good luck, it can be hard but in a month this will be a habit that you do not have to think about.
wait the cash idea is genius!!! having credit cards can definitely be a slippery slope because I only look at my statements once a week when I update my budget tracker. thanks for sharing wishing you more security in the coming months!❤
Biggest budget advice: buy food in bulk. I dont mean costco. I mean 10lbs of rice, oats and beans. Buy your staples in bulk and then every week go to the store for fresh fruit and veg. Also, meal prep with these bulk items!! When i fist moved out, I was spending $250 a month on food. I must admit i wasnt in LA and this was 4 years ago, so numbers will be different.
Hi Ash! What I found really helpful when I went out on my own was the 50/20/30 budget. I really started at the bottom with my financial journey and it's been a learning process the whole way. Unfortunately I think it is a lot of trial and error to see what works best for you and what you can stick with. I liked the 50/20/30 budgets because I could categorize my bills and see the progress I could make on my debt and savings account. This also allows me to see how much I can spend on groceries each week and that money I will pull out, any extra will be my "fun" money. Anyways you can google the budget and see how they suggest you break everything down.
okay the budgeting convo-- soooooo needed! I have thought about the cash only situation because I am the worst at this !! Another thing you could do is buy gift cards with your credit cards and pay them off with the cash you would have used bc you will get a ton of points this way !!
I love money talk. I use a digital version of the envelope system and keep track of my weekly grocery spending on a piece of paper in my wallet (I have also done the notes app). I like to use my credit card for points for cash back or air miles because my cards reward higher for groceries. I’ve been doing this for years and I find it super helpful. Happy budgeting!
i try to make at least 1 day a week when i am not buying or ordering anything (coffee, quick snack, even if I wanted something and it was out of stock etc)
omg could u do a what I spend in a week on a budget in la video? as a college student in the city who wants to explore and do stuff im sure it'll be helpful!
I think something that could help with your shoulder pain is biofreeze it comes in a gel, a patch or a roller ball applicator. It helps me when I have back pain because it's cooling. Also I started listing things I want and need and I put either the things I want the most that are expensive or need the most.
My sister has done the Dave Ramsey method for years, following his book. It tackles debt and helps budget. She budgets monthly, looking at income made and what she knows she’ll have to spend on so she can budget it in. She makes cash envelopes for different categories and sticks to the allotted money. It’s been a game changer for her and her family!
I appreciate you talking openly about your finances. Money is often the #1 stressor for people and it’s not something many people are open about. I’m right there with you on the cutting down and budgeting, California is expensive. 😅
I haven’t really budgeted per say, but I recently started planning out my meals and snacks (meal prepping) and just sticking to that of groceries that I’m buying and I’ve saved a ton. Also started doing the smiths pickup because it’s free with a certain minimum plus you don’t add on extras or spend more. I’ve been able to limit my groceries to close to $50-70. So I feel like if you budgeted that way you can either save a small allowance with the left over for coffee or other things if you have some left over. Hopefully that makes sense!
You do realize she’s talking about limiting herself to $100 a week on smoothies right. She’s a millionaire complaining about being limited to $100 a week on smoothies, not groceries.
@@Naufal-sq3oo I am sure it is feasible for her to spend $100 on Trader Joe groceries since she does get free products/foods from sponsors such as Hello Fresh and Factor
loved this vlog so much ❤ (maybe it's the enneagram 9 in me that just really appreciated the mellow energy and heart to hearts) i've been trying to use cash whenever i'm in stores lately too! i feel much more cognizant of how much i'm spending (or would be spending), and that's been really helpful in keeping myself in check 😅 online purchases are where it gets dangerous for me 😬 i have a spreadsheet with 12 tabs in it (1 for each month of the year), and i jot down income, expenses, online purchases, groceries, and travel... and seeing my online purchases total go up each month and comparing that total to previous months serves as my biggest wakeup call to also not spend frivolously 😵💫
I've found that budgeting my groceries and eating out income is super helpful. On average a full load from trader Joe's between my partner and I in Chicago is around $160. I typically budget $300 for groceries and another $250 for eating out. I told myself I can only eat out on weekends, and all other meals need to be at home. I also found I am way less tempted to eat out if I have a fully stocked fridge, and something sweet to snack on at night. Using rocket money, going through my finances weekly is really helpful. I love watching Caleb hammer, graham Stephan, aja dang, + Carter Sullivan to keep me on track. It's really hard to live within our means, and cut down on lifestyle inflation. ❤ Also building an emergency fund, and sinking funds for "fun" (for vacations, presents, pet care, cat maintenance, clothes etc) helps take off some of the pressure/worry when it comes your everyday budget.
For budgeting the cash thing is great! I also take out cash everyweek for other things that come up. I add money to it everyweek but wont spend it, only if an event like a friends birthday or an outing comes up! Good luck queen ❤
It makes sense your shoulder is hurting more with all this rainy weather because joints are more sensitive from a drop of barometric pressure and humidity!
I’ve done the cash method and it’s just not for me…… I personally get anxiety carrying cash…but I do use Google sheets for my budget. It saves as you go and saves between my laptop/phone. I use one card for my fixed expenses (rent, utilities, etc) and a different debit card(at a different bank so I can’t transfer $) for groceries and my “allowance/fun” money. I’ve struggled with finances, filed bankruptcy previously and have learned the hard way and I think that’s helped me learn how to do it “right”/better Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable ❤
Hi Ashley. I dont know if your ever gonna see or read this but I to fractured my elbow this time last year and it's still recovering. I never went to therapy or any clinic to get it checked out besides when I went to remove my cast, I just took some hmong (Asain) herb medicines. Hopefully you'll feel better soon.
Thank you so much for sharing! I agree with the comments about feeling seen financially! I live in the Bay Area and make 30k a year. I told myself this was going to be the year I really start to save! Cash EVERYTHING!! I have a budget notebook. I write out bills and expenses for the month, plus savings. I pay as much as I can afford on paydays, set aside savings, $100 a week for groceries, and $100 fun money for two weeks! I don’t make much, but you’ve gotta work with what you have! I think writing it down and paying for things in cash really helps (:
Definitely have done the $100 a week on food. It is hard to maintain. I’ve definitely broken it before lol 😅 what I noticed that helped as well. Was deleting my cards on Apple Pay, leaving my credit card at home to not be tempted to buy something or food. Knowing im limited
Something I’ve learned from my mom. If the pain was new and fresh, she would give Advil throughout the day and then at night if I couldn’t sleep, she would give me just half. And she would only do it for two maybe three days giving me half at night and then she would take it away and just do Advil!! we feel the same way about pain pills!
Hey! Fellow la girl here. My recommendation for you is opening a separate checking account just for one category of spending. For example I have one for groceries/food that I have set up to put only x amount in every paycheck. With that, look for opening bonuses! Example I just signed up with SoFi checking and saving (used UA-camr Shelby church’s link). And by putting in like 20 bucks to savings and another direct deposit to checking (literally did 5 dollars a pay check) I got a lil sign on bonus of 25 dollars (more if you do a larger initial deposit) but ALSO got a high apr for my savings (I think it’s 4% right now)! Those are some tips I’ve done lately to feel better about my finances, hope this helps!
I love that you're budgeting, however I use my credit card for all purchases. I get rewards (3x points on dining, 5x points on travel, etc) I pay my credit cards WEEKLY and then use the points towards future purchases. I purchased a MacBook with points alone and I have never paid interest. You can use points as a statement credit as well on most cards.
Ashley, if someone is asking, if u wanna go out to eat w/ them, u still can. At the restaurant don’t order anything just go to talk w/ friends. U can bring a little snack from home like a bar or nuts. Just something small that way when everyone is eating u will at least have something to eat as well. But I know it can be awkward going to a restaurant and not ordering anything. I just wanted to throw that out there as an option.
Loved this video! Was this recorded on an iPhone? Not sure if it's on my end or not, but it seemed a bit laggy/lower quality. Either way still love the content
It's extremely refreshing to see a content creator talk realistically about money 😊
Absolutely agree with you there ❤️ 💫

Omg u should do a whole budgeting video I’d love to learn anything from you but budgeting is something I really need too rn! Love you queen
I’ve been cash stuffing/budgeting/sinking funds for the past year with a budget binder from Amazon and it’s amazing. I now have money for when things come up such as car maintenance, birthdays, etc that I can use whenever I need it. It’s soooo helpful
Enjoying this 1-week of L.A. lifestyle vlog! ❤
Ash I love it when you do the cleaning montage with that song it’s just relaxing thank PS I hope your shoulder gets better send my love that’s a good tip about budgeting Xx
Ashley you always motivate me to better myself. You very important to me pls start uploading weekly 😭🤍
Thank you for sharing and I love seeing your days at home
always love your vlogs, ashley! hope you're having a happy and peaceful week. 🖤
money talk is so important!!
Hey Ashley love the daily vlogmas videos that you upload on your youtube main channel it's essential to have your home clean, spotless, organize, and
Perfect way to start my morning🤍
I also have a huge fear of pain pills. When I had my wisdom teeth out I was terrified to take them because I was so irrationally scared I would get addicted (which obviously doesn’t happen if you only take them a few times but I couldn’t get past that). I don’t even take advil or Tylenol even though I know they are completely safe. I’m wishing you the best and hope your pain goes away :(
The Every Dollar budgeting app is a lifesaver!
love these types of videos. slow and on the more chill side, yet motivating!
I’m still struggling to balance it myself. haha
I’m trying to do $100 a week on groceries alone because I’m feeding 3 people including myself but the lattes and stuff I try to order 1-2 times a week.
Especially on my early mornings at work when I start at 7-8am I don’t have time to make my lattes from home or even to go.
I use Google sheets as well more so to track groceries bills and rent between my housemates.
As far as my personal spendings I use a journal
Hope this helps ☺️
Amazing wishing you luck 💜 💫
YNAB! YNAB! YNAB! Have been using this platform for 3 years.
your vlogs are so calming right now and love it so much
yesss I'm pretty early again! ✨
Have a great day Ash!!❤️ This really makes me more productive 😌
Same though more productive ❤
Mint is great for budgeting
in no way diagnosing just offering my experience.. i had horrible shoulder pain.. ended up having a pinched nerve in my neck. went to physical therapy and it helped IMMENSELY! I now have some go to exercises when I have a flare up. Also, during the day I could make it thru pain wise.. but at night when u sleep oddly is the height of the pain 😢😢
watching the rest of the video now and see you talk about your physical therapy 👍🏽 wishing you a full recovery
I love the finance talk! I have entered a new season where I am making less than I have for years prior while also having moved to NYC to finish school, so I am def looking for ways to budget! Does $100 include your groceries as well?? I have tried to cut back and it feels impossible to not leave the grocery store spending less than $100/week, and then any extra coffees/ordered meals add up😅
she said the $100 includes her groceries, takeout, restaurants, and coffee
Don’t forget to take into account the meal services that sponsor her and send her free food!
Wow, you're doing so well! I live in TN and my husband and I spend $200 a week just on groceries! You live in LA and spend $100 total! Way to go!
Absolutely brilliant budgeting ❤
She gets free meals from various sponsors such as HelloFresh and Factor!
I adore YNAB. It has a learning curve but nothing worked for me until YNAB finally clicked! Now I look forward to budgeting!
I budget on an excel spreadsheet. It helps to see where you're spending and the highest cost of categories. Those categories will be different from anyone else's. Try it out and see if it works! Good luck, it can be hard but in a month this will be a habit that you do not have to think about.
I love your vulnerability! I was literally thinking your life looks so easy and you have it all but we all need to budget.
wait the cash idea is genius!!! having credit cards can definitely be a slippery slope because I only look at my statements once a week when I update my budget tracker. thanks for sharing wishing you more security in the coming months!❤
When are you going to update pics for the podcast!! We need some new ones!! Love you guyssss
i try to make at least 1 day a week when i am not buying or ordering anything (coffee, quick snack, even if I wanted something and it was out of stock etc)
omg could u do a what I spend in a week on a budget in la video? as a college student in the city who wants to explore and do stuff im sure it'll be helpful!
My parent's and I have bee doing a money binder - - to put like nails, food, and essential's. It's a smart idea. It's been crazy.
I love your channel and all of your content I’m so glad I’ve been able to follow you all these years! Thanks for the transparency too❤
I think something that could help with your shoulder pain is biofreeze it comes in a gel, a patch or a roller ball applicator.
That is such a good video idea we would love to see a $100 budget grocery shopping 😍💪🏻 saving queen
@@WeTheDylan she isn’t mentioned any of what you said, $100 a week is the cost of all the food she needs (groceries, take away/dine in, & coffee).
@@Naufal-sq3oo I am sure it is feasible for her to spend $100 on Trader Joe groceries since she does get free products/foods from sponsors such as Hello Fresh and Factor
Your videos are so therapeutic to watch. Thank you so much ❤
loved this vlog so much ❤ (maybe it's the enneagram 9 in me that just really appreciated the mellow energy and heart to hearts)
i've been trying to use cash whenever i'm in stores lately too! i feel much more cognizant of how much i'm spending (or would be spending), and that's been really helpful in keeping myself in check 😅
online purchases are where it gets dangerous for me 😬 i have a spreadsheet with 12 tabs in it (1 for each month of the year), and i jot down income, expenses, online purchases, groceries, and travel... and seeing my online purchases total go up each month and comparing that total to previous months serves as my biggest wakeup call to also not spend frivolously 😵💫
This was so relaxing and relatable. Thank you.
notion templates are super cool for budgeting!
Also building an emergency fund, and sinking funds for "fun" (for vacations, presents, pet care, cat maintenance, clothes etc) helps take off some of the pressure/worry when it comes your everyday budget.
For budgeting the cash thing is great! I also take out cash everyweek for other things that come up. I add money to it everyweek but wont spend it, only if an event like a friends birthday or an outing comes up! Good luck queen ❤
That's a great idea!
It makes sense your shoulder is hurting more with all this rainy weather because joints are more sensitive from a drop of barometric pressure and humidity!
Love the honesty! But also curious why you feel the need to live in a huge townhouse when you’re just 1 person?
I use my hands with skin tints. Because it uses the heat from your hand and looks stun
I’ve struggled with finances, filed bankruptcy previously and have learned the hard way and I think that’s helped me learn how to do it “right”/better
Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable ❤
Hi Ashley. I dont know if your ever gonna see or read this but I to fractured my elbow this time last year and it's still recovering. I never went to therapy or any clinic to get it checked out besides when I went to remove my cast, I just took some hmong (Asain) herb medicines. Hopefully you'll feel better soon.
I use YNAB for budgeting and like it a lot :)
Amazing, keep it up on flexing the “no” muscle!!
Could we buy the clothes? What’s the link that she posts the second hand clothes on?
I love Seed. I started it about a month ago as well.
Yes❤
I appreciate you sharing. I do wonder if maybe moving into a smaller apartment can help instead of a townhouse? is that necessary?
Loved this video! Was this recorded on an iPhone? Not sure if it's on my end or not, but it seemed a bit laggy/lower quality. Either way still love the content
love your vlogs 🤍🫶
Budgeting is great! I’m going to say $100 is a little too far too soon, $200 seems more realistic for LA 😅
