Whenever I watch Scott and his students practice any techniques for any reason it all seems beautiful. I guess that's why karate I called a martial ART.

Been watching your videos since the old JKS days. Definitely one of my go to resources for great karate technique and guidance. I appreciate the upload, looking forward to the next! Osu

Syllabus and execution ok but why other students don't wear karategi??? It definitely doesn't look like a serious exam - more like a traning for fun during summer camp. Moreover, your ushiro geri leaves a lot of space for improvement (including sensei himself).

This wasn't a grading, just instructor training with some interns training together this morning.
You're right about my ushiro geri though :-p

Scott Langley very humble response, having seen you do this kick in other videos the over rotation was probably just down to being fatigued after the other parts of the syllabus.
I actually think seeing you make slight error in techniques more encouraging as it reminds the rest of us that even some of the very best karateka make mistakes too.
Thanks for the post, interesting to see what other organisations do, would love to see kumite syllabus too.
      Thanks Nathan

      Many thanks Nathan.
I was back checking my ushiro geri... we must always be open to criticism, ours the only way to improve :-)
