"this is the earliest concert ever recorded, the first one in Elton career" -- It is the first one in the U.S. There are at least 2 performances on video done in the U.K. earlier that year.

I attended the early show Aug 25 1970. The club filled slowly, we had great seats, and John's performance was fantastic but frightening, with both him and the piano stool going airborne. Stars on his shoes, stars on his shirt, shock, awe and amazement on everyone's faces. We left a bit stunned,, just could not articulate what we had just seen and heard. I would like to see more images and video , if available.
