Even after he has painted the picture he continues to immerse himself into it as he sits quietly in the galleries,those paintings hold a big part of his soul and the work that he has put into them,they will live on long after he has left this earthplane just like Van Gogh left us his colourful legacy.

Mr. Hockney's perspective on painting and life is joyful and brilliant. Being an artist I try to do is bring out joy in each painting I do so the individual can experience joy when they see my work. I work in the Neo impressionist style and love Mr. Hockney's style of painting . Live in the now is so true.

I left the North of England 50 years ago and like David Hockney (I’m an artist)still maintain most of the accent. ie when he says “glass”Apart from being a great artist he has humility and has remained an ordinary man who loves his work...

A fully confident and self actualised man that knows he has real marketable talent and is honoured by prestigious institutions. Why are 90% of Art School graduates unemployed ? Probably because they Art Schools take on anybody these days as some kind of doss / finishing school for idle teenagers that don’t want to enter the real world til they’re 30+ . I’m not even particularly an Art ‘ fan ‘ , but I can see that Hockney is a genius !
