    Hello is there a video yall can do on the detailed cleaning and reassembly of the gas system in the x setting ? I am also wondering if the screws need to be torqued back in using a specific torque. Thank you

    Is it correct that the handguard on the PWS MK116 Mod1 is now longer than in the previous versions of this rifle? I handled one at the gunshop recently (feels amazing to hold it) and I noticed that the only portion of the barrel visible was the muzzle device. However, the UA-cam videos I've seen on the MK116 Mod1 have shown that the handguard is shorter than that.

    When did you start to use nickel Teflon on your carrier ? My mod 1 mk114 carrier has a Isonite finish ?

    Well i really have an out of the box question for you's ( Primary Weapons Systems ), so please indulge me if you's would.Do you's have any future plans to offer a long stroke piston rifle with a side mount non- reciprocating charging handle and no rear buffer spring assembly, similar to the Faxon Arms ARAK-21 or the Robinson Armament XCR ? .... That would be a very welcome addition .... The less moving parts to maintain and worry about, the better, IMHO .... Thank you !

    But the excess gas goes onto the barrel itself. Why not out toward the muzzle or to the front end of the rifle?

    Are you guys selling the bolt carrier/gas system individually yet? I'm completely sold on this platform but I definitely don't want to spend $1900 on a rifle so that I can spend more money to change stuff out...

    Hey PWS - I have a Mk114 Mod1 in .223 Wylde with a 14,5 in barrel with the FSC device. I would like to change calibers to the 300 BLK with a minimum barrel length of 14,5 in. Could you give me some advice on which parts I would need to swap out to get to the desired caliber?

      They can't, it a proprietary piston setup , you notice how the carrier and op rod are one piece

    Is that a typic M16 BCG with a piston rond on top or its a Ar15 BCG with a piston?

    • @PrimaryWeaponsSystems
      @PrimaryWeaponsSystems  7 років тому +1

      It's a proprietary BCG for our system. It looks similar to an AR15 BCG with a piston connected to the top of it.

    Every other piston-driven AR manufacturer has solved the carrier-tilt issue by now.
    Not that it's an excuse *not* to buy a PWS, however. ;) I have heard nothing but good things about these rifles, and it's easy to see why. Light enough that I would say they're on par with D.I. systems, and the construction seems rock solid.

    • @slickrick6258
      @slickrick6258 10 років тому +6

      No they havn't they just use band aids to hide the problem , there is still ware in POF USA , LWRC, LMT , and Adam arms . PWS you wont ever see ware because of the correct long stroke piston design.

    • @Excedrine
      @Excedrine 10 років тому +3

      ***** That's funny. LWRC still never used any "band-aids" and mine (M6A2) isn't showing any "carrier-tilt" , either, even after 11,000 rounds -- this despite it being the shorter and harsher carbine-length gas system. ;)
      PWS still got it right, though. I'm just trying to save enough to buy one!

    can this system be used with different caliber barrels and barrel lengths? i.e. a 9" .300 blk barrel?

    • @cosmicyoke
      @cosmicyoke 7 років тому

      also just out of curiosity, how is the gas tube set up in the firearm?

    • @PrimaryWeaponsSystems
      @PrimaryWeaponsSystems  7 років тому +1

      Sorry for the delay- we missed the notification on this!! Yes- the system is available in multiple lengths- currently 7.75", 11.85", 14.5", 16.1", 18" in .223 Wylde, 7.75", 11.85", 16.1" in 7.62x39, and 11.85", 16.1" in .300BLK. The system is proprietary to us/our builds though, so you can't really turn your current DI build into a piston with our system. If you'd like to see how it's set up internally, check out our Facebook page. The cover photo is of our cutaway, so you can see exactly what's inside and how the piston system works. facebook.com/primaryweapons/

    I bought a MK116 today(was put on the stupid NCIS hold) they always make me wait 3-4 days for whatever dick reason. But this MK116 has a black bolt carrier, did you go back to black nitride or is this thing just really old and if so do I even want this one?

  • @paowerhouse92

    It’s a shame that the PWS carrier group is no longer NP3 coated. Kinda wish they would bring that back.
    UPDATE: I wonder if PWS would ever consider utilizing NT7 as a replacement coating, if what I’m seeing about the properties and features being similar to NP3 are true and not marketing snake oil.

      they went the light weight route... and one thing they aren't really making obvious is that the mod 2 is not a full auto rated system.

    • @Captainelduke
      @Captainelduke 7 років тому +1

      I just finished reading the comments about USSOCOM choosing the M-LOK system and that BCM will be manufacturing the KMR M-LOK rail. I look forward to seeing what it looks like. I own two PWS uppers (Mark 1 Mod 1-P and Mark 1 Mod 2) so I will stay with the Keymod rail system already installed on the uppers. I am excited for you though, let me know how you like the BCM M-LOK rail or upper when you get one.
