Best no nonsense and thorough review ever. Thanks for doing this.
Wow, thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for the detailed review! You answered several questions I had that the product page for this unit did not!
No problem and glad I could help!
Thanks flip. I like the Alexa feature on this one!
No problem. Yeah it is nice!
Fancy! Thanks for the review.
No problem!
Great job!
Thank you!
Very nice!
Thank you!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Well explained
Thank you.
I just got this today, and I gotta say, opening that aroma box is a bear! I'm always afraid I'm going to break stuff because of too much applied pressure. But after watching this, I just brute forced it until it finally came out
Well glad you finally got it.
Can the LV600S be programmed to turn on, say at 11PM and shut off at 7AM? Also, I noticed that other comparable units have a UV light that supposedly kills mold and bacteria. The LV600S does not. Is that a con or a pro? Mold and bacteria are deadly to me.
Hi! Thanks for the review, good job! You mentioned they say filling the tank with distilled water is better than with tap water. What about filtered water, though? I have a water filter underneath the sink so I was just wondering...
Filtered water would work, too. It's really the minerals in the water that cause the filter, etc. to get more dirty and crusty. Those really only come out when you distill the water. I've just been using regular old tap water in mine lately, though. It just means you will have to clean it more than if you use distilled water.
@@fixitFlip Got it, thanks!
@@kocior1987 No problem!
Filtered water means a lot of things. How well filtered?
Hi.. this was a very good review. I have a question regarding the power consumption. Given that this model is rated 280W, I was wondering if you tested the consumption between the different cool/warm mist levels. Does it consume far less energy between the lowest and highest cool/warm mist levels.
Thank you! I have not tested that actually. I have only used it on warm mist for the most part so far since it is cold here.
@@fixitFlip 130W/ 200W/ 280W using my power measuring device for the warm mist settings. 20W is from Ultrasonicator only.
@@pranavid Thanks for the input!
I have this brand. Unfortunately I bought the bottom fill model. And I hate that. I find myself not bothering with it and just turning it off. I wish there was a way to retrofit it. I don’t use it because I hate filling it from the bottom. Such a pain. And I did NOT understand this before purchase or I would have never bought it . Will I buy a new one? No!……. because whoever designed this should have designed it correct in the first place. They don’t deserve my money. Great video.
Thank you. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
I'm thinking to buy this or the new OasisMist 450S. Which one you recommend?
I think its worth a few extra bucks to get this one with the bigger tank. Having to refill it less is worth it.
How is using distilled water a con? Out of every humidifier I’ve used it’s prohibited to use tap because ever states tap has different mineral and bacterial levels.
I love the humidifier. Just had to pick one thing. With pure steam humidifiers you really don’t need to use distilled water since they boil the water. But yes, really you’ll have less cleaning to do with any humidifier if you use distilled water.
What or where is the water from the bottom base came from??? Will that cause overflow?
It is just water being cycled through. It will not cause overflow.
I have this unit, I thought it was a de humidifier and humidifier combination, does that exist?
Not that I know of. This is just a Humidifier.
Do you happen to know a more advanced version of a hot steam vaporizer?
I do not, sorry. The one in this video will do cool mist or warm mist, though.
It’s Jan 2023. Are you still loving this unit? How often does it need a cleaning and what about changing any filters? We have a tiny place 750 sq ft in Az?
What are the differences between the PRO l and the PRO Il for the LV600S?
Just off hand I know the PRO II has a tank that is 1.5 L smaller. Less refilling is what I prefer. The PRO I is 6 L.
@@fixitFlip Yes, hopefully, the PRO I will work out better. At least it appears to be a good value so I bought it OL tonight at Costco for "only" 64.99 + tax (89.99 -25 discount) with free shipping.
@@tabgrampa Wow, I think you got a really good deal. Nice find. Mine is running full blast right now and I love it. I think you will too.
Mine has been on for over an hour and I've set it to 50% but it keeps flashing between 20% and 50%. It hasn't moved from 20 at all. I have it placed away from wall. Idk whats wrong.
Depending on the room size it may take it a while to move up from 20. That is really low. If it never goes up from there it could be a defective unit.
@@fixitFlip Thank you!!!
@@strawberrybounce2 No problem.
I .see humidifier is not misting i have set humidity 40 percent and it shows currently 80 percent ..any mistake i have done
Yes, if it is showing the humidity is higher than what you set it to, it will not run.
its winter in Montreal and my office has 10% humidity.
Ha ha, that's definitely way too low! Is your nose bleeding?
@@fixitFlip not yet, let’s see the difference come Monday. But I ended up getting the 300S.
@@GujuGaming Cool, let me know how you like that one.
Hi Brother , i just got the new above same model humidifier , and i have a thermapro hygrometer as well. Now on the device its showing 76% humidity and hygrometer its showing 61%. both are kept near as well. Any reason ?
Also i have one more question the misting is not happening , is it because at this 70-75 % will mist not happen ?
I've had several people comment that they are getting contradictory readings so maybe it is a technical flow with some units.
@@fixitFlip after powered off and on it shows almost correct humidity
Okay, that's good to know. @@inde0007
Alot of pieces the filter is a turn off but it seem a bit complex I like to make it simple
I just set it at level 2 with heat at level 2 and set it and forget it! When I see its out of water I fill it up. Pretty easy.
So the humidity reading on the machine is not correct?🤔 compared to the hygrometer reading?
Well, the machine is reading it right where the machine is, where the steam is coming out, and the hygrometer is reading it on the other side of the room by the door, so it would definitely vary some. Always going to be higher right on the unit.
@@fixitFlip I've read that the hygrometer on board isn't very accurate on these models.
Interesting. @@mospheric
What about cleaning? It looks like it would be hard to clean and would not go in a dishwasher
I should do a video on that. It's pretty easy to do with a solution of vinegar and water.
i Purchase this Humidifier From Amazon Canada , Yesterday i Noticed One thing When i Turn on Warm Mist on Full Level there is Voice Start Came from the Humidifier then Slowly it Goes Down to Normal.... is it Normal or i Received a Defective Peice??? Thnx
Hmmm, what do you mean by a voice start?
@@fixitFlip i mean there is A Noise Came From inside the Humidifier When i Turn On Warm mist on Level 3....
@@Mr-Faraz92 Oh, ok, gotcha. I would say that is NOT normal.
Hi Flip. I purchased one in Amazon. I dont know if there's a problem. ?When i start using, 73 % of humidity appears. I set to 45 but after a few seconds it stop misting. But the display remain and sometimes the humidity goes up.
If it is truly 73% humidity, then it would definitely cause it to shut off at 45, since it was already above the correct humidity.
@@fixitFlip I need help with this also. Maybe I’m confused at how it’s supposed to work but I’ve set it to 40 and it showing 56 but no mist is coming out. If I turn on Auto, it will run continuously but the number won’t drop to 40. What does this mean?
@@thelifeissoexciting If you set it at 40, it will not run if it is showing 56, because that means there is more humidity in the air then what you are setting as the minimum requirement. If you turn it on auto, the number definitely won't drop. It may even go up from the 56. More moisture means a higher number.
@@fixitFlip OMG 🤦🏾♀️ that makes total sense! Thank you for explaining what I see now is a very simple concept. Lol. I really appreciate it.
@@thelifeissoexciting Ha ha, no problem!
Does it leave a white mist
No that I have noticed ever, but then again I normally use it on "warm mist" mode. The white mist is typically associated with cool mist humidifiers.
you spoke the whole time... the machines noise level would have been a good addition to your review.
Thanks for the input. Always looking to improve
There is little to no noise, even at max settings
Agreed.@@deviantdiva702
I have had mine for three months I love it 🥰 noise level is very low
Agreed!@@danababy1977
What the name of the apps?
VeSync App
Doesn’t work with Apple homekit, none of their products are, so you gotta use a separate app.
