I really like all the recon Bradleys that 8th Infantry gets. They have very good optics and 12 Tow-2 ATGM's. You get fire support, recon, and ATGM's all in one package. I think it's one of the highlights of this deck.
I have a question about this game. My friends and I used to play 2-4 co-op against AI in COH1 and 2 a lot but we are looking into other games to play and warno came onto my radar. Is this game good with some friends against AI? Are there various AI difficulty settings? We are really not looking at playing against each other or against other human players.
This game definitely has the options for what you are looking for. Even more so when the game fully releases. It will have a co op campaign as well. Should check out Steel Division 2 if you like the WW2 theme as well.
Hi Vulcan, found your channel over Christmas as purchased steel division 2. I play wargame which I really like, how does warno compare? Is it worth changing over to?
I can see why Conquest is more meta. It puts more emphasis on actually gaining ground and pushing forward instead of camping and just getting kills. So from a more competitive standpoint, i'd say Conquest is better in that regard. I think there's always going to be some complaints about artillery in these types of game. But i still think it's balanced in Warno, because of the ammunition. If you spam a lot of artillery, then you're going to use a lot of supplies on keeping your artillery operational. Which means other units on the frontlines might not get the supplies they need. Could you imagine how this game would be if it was like Company of Heroes, and you just have unlimited ammunition? Now that would make artillery annoying.
I almost exclusively play 10vs10 tactical destruction in Red Dragon. I really wish that was popular in Warno, then I would actually play the game. At the moment it only seems people play Warno for the 1vs1 gameplay
I actually preferred total destruction mode back in wargame red dragon, pretty much any of Eugen's games that have had it. The downside is it can be a really, really, REALLY long game. But when you don't have to worry about points and just have to worry about pushing the enemy off the board, the objectives you pursue get a little more flexible. You aren't worried about a cost/benefit analysis of making an assault, it's just important you make it to the next position or you can build up forces in a part of the map seemingly insignificant and make those parts significant areas of conflict by dint of just being there. But destruction mode with points and a time limit is a bit campy, part of it is I think players who don't like or want to give up ground, like instead of realizing that a position is untenable and beginning a withdraw of units to a position better defended, they'd rather just fight a pointless fight and keep bringing in units to a fight they're going to lose. Maybe if they had a points refund like how the transports are except for all units, things would be different, because when you're trying to attack a fortified position you might want heavy artillery, but here you are stuck having sunk in a few hundred point into an apache and now it's just sitting behind the lines looking to pick off a lone tank because you don't know if there's an igla in the town you're attacking
Destruction mode sucks, especially in team games. As soon as one side gets a ~2k+ lead, it just snowballs from there. At least with capture you can lose units without giving massive advantages to the other side.
Great to see more warno, game is really improving with time hope to see much more of it on the channel!
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it before, but the HEMTT's are pronounced as HIM-IT, instead of HEMT. It's weird but it's like how HMMWV is Humvee

WARNO is still finding it's identity but if you enjoy the modern setting and would like an upgrade then I'd recommend it for sure.

destruction needs a hardcore/alt mode with a delayed score counter and no pt headers on kills
