Jari-Matti Latvala wins in Wales, finishing 27.8 seconds up on Sebastien Loeb; Petter Solberg is pipped for second and finishes 0.9 seconds off Loeb.
Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala has won Wales Rally GB leading the event pretty much from start-to-finish.
Latvala took the lead in SS3 on Friday and then proceeded to pull further and further ahead of his rivals, beginning the final day today with a 24.5 second cushion. In the end the Finn triumphed by 27.8 seconds to take his second win in succession in Cardiff. The result is a welcome boost for the Finn and the Ford works team, as it is their first victory since Sweden back in February.
Citroen's Sebastien Loeb meanwhile pipped Petter Solberg to take second, just 0.9 seconds splitting the two after a thrilling finish.
Further back, Mads Ostberg survived an engine misfire this morning to come home fourth, followed by Mikko Hirvonen -- who won the Power Stage - and then Evgeny Novikov and Matthew Wilson in sixth and seventh. Thierry Neuville, Martin Prokop and Nasser Al-Attiyah rounded out the top ten, with Craig Breen taking an emotional win in the SWRC.
Ott Tanak was a late retirement, stopping in SS17 after losing a wheel.
