I know the dance of the moonlight jellies isn’t useful but I can never resist going: it’s so beautiful 🤩 a little moment of calm halfway through each year of playthrough
I do everything wrong in stardew. But thats part of the fun 😂 money? Nah. Relationship? Nah. Useless statue that i MUST HAVE that i will not actually place down anywhere in the valley but instead put in a chest immediately? Yep thats the one!
Burglar ring + java ring is actually insane. I finally found a java ring and Im never running out of coffee again. Also, use the dehydrator. Maybe not in spring but plant blueberries summer year 1 and just profit
Another mistake is not paying attention to your mine layouts. Each year they change somewhat, but as far as I can tell, every 40 floors has the same layout (5 matches 45 & 85, 11 matches 51 and 91 and so on), so always check to see which floors below multiples of ten (21, 31, 41, Etc.) have wide open spaces. When you need ore or coal, running to known cavern floors repeatedly is the fastest way to get tiered ores, and floors between 60 and 70 for coal from dust sprites; if you're lucky, you can also avoid more frustrating parts of the mines like the spiral floors and lower 10 of each layer in your excursions.
Grandpa: I give you the farm so you don't have to waste away working at JoJo Mart. Player: Time is money, don't be slow must build industrial farm and increase profits JoJo Mart and Pierre: Closed out sale
@@thomaszinecker1785 well yeah, the only npc who love fruit is orange for gus and peach for robin. But higher quality of gift DO give you more relationship points
Gifting is...okay, but the real reason to pick it is for quick CC progression. It's RNG-based compared to mushrooms; but I'd rather take a dice roll on something useful over consistently getting something pretty useless/replaceable. Every single significant update to the game since 2016 has added new ways to get mushrooms. What has tree fruit gotten since the game's release? You still basically can only get the CC fruit by either getting it from fruit bats or waiting entire seasons for the dang trees to grow. It's half-way through Summer Year 1 in my current playthrough and I basically have an entire chest of mushrooms and maybe a half-dozen of various fruit (currently have 6 trees fully grown, but only 2 in season of course). The mushroom cave used to be vaguely competitive, but at this point it's basically on par with the training rod. It's for noobs who don't know how to get anything (including food).
@@thomaszinecker1785 That is incorrect. The quality of the gift dramatically affects friendship gain; giving an iridium quality gift gives you 50% more friendship points over the base. (And it's 10% for silver, 25% for gold.) Giving someone a "loved" gift that is iridium quality on their birthday (all possible gift multipliers, in other words) gets you almost four hearts at once. If you can give someone a gold or iridium quality gift on their birthday 2 years running, and then talk to them here and there, you will basically max friendship with an NPC you've barely interacted with by the end of Year 2.
The dehydrator's main benefit is that it processes fruit and mushrooms faster than kegs or preserves jars, it also still improves the sale price of the crop, for example, 5 iridium quality purple mushrooms sell for 2,500g, 1 dried purple mushrooms with Artisan sells for 2,660g while 5 pickled purple mushrooms with Artisan sells for 3,850g however making 5 pickled purple mushrooms takes 5 preserves jars (250 wood, 200 stone and 40 coal) and about in-game 2-3 days Also basic quality dinosaur eggs are still better turned into dinosaur mayonnaise, silver quality and above sell for more with the treasure appraisal guide but basic quality dont
I have to disagree with the mushroom cave. Of course this is only my opinion, and I'm not saying you're wrong or that your opinion is invalid in any way. Yes, it comes with a free dehydrator, but you're going to have to buy the recipe anyway to make more of them! So you're still spending the 10,000g. And we have mushroom logs now that do the exact same thing! So there is no point having 2 things that do the same thing. And yes, I know the same could be said about fruit trees and the fruit bat cave. Like I said, that's just what I think and the choice is of course up to the individual players and how they want to do it!☺️
I agree, and I regret it a bit that I chose the mushroom cave when starting new some weeks ago. I didn't know about the mushroom logs back then. But then again, I hardly ever go to the cave anyway and I can get fruit from trees in a big amount later on haha
Agreed. Fruit cave is still much better. the money difference is negligible, but being able to complete the community center without having to plant one of each fruit tree is better. Plus, iridium quality tree fruits (once you have foraging level 10) are universal liked gifts.
I'm a fishing related entusiast and I have to say that Legendary fish in ponds are a little bit of a bait. They rely on luck to actually get row daily (25%, not changeable) and it can go days without nothing. The common fish like lava eel, stingray, sturgeon etc, have guaranteed loot everyday, that gives you consistency in production + you can smoke the extra fish you get everytime the pond reaches 10/10 capacity
I’m sticking with fruit bats because I keep forgetting to check the cave every day. Plus, the faster I complete the community center, the sooner I can go to Ginger Island.
Just being honest, over half the time I had absolutely no idea what you were even talking about. Also, why do you so frequently tell us not to do something under any circumstances with a certain thing, but fail to tell us what we SHOULD do with it?!? Ugh. I’ve watched quite a few of your vids with the same thoughts before I’ve said anything here…
mGaud: Choose the mushroom cave so you can get the [dehydrator] early Also mGaud: Don't use the [dehydrator] early in the game. Honestly though, if you are playing correctly then you should be able to easily afford the dehydrator recipe once it becomes sensible to start using them.
Interesting. I haven't seen trees improve mushroom log harvest time, but I have seen them increase the number of mushrooms per log on top of specific tree species increasing likelihood of certain types of mushrooms and quality. Although quality is irrelevant after being an artisan and dumping the shrooms into "deconstructors" lol. I also seem to have heard you can get double hay from harvesting blue grass, particularly with the iridum scythe. And about green rain, since Year 1 has some exclusive NPC dialogue, I'd say go for all of their talks fmthe first year, then reset the day in order to get that big moss payout. I typically go for about 300 moss a year myself. I even managed to salvage a bunch of wild seeds and have 8 fiddlehead fern trees with heavy tappers. Ferns every day.
Okay so I was confused. First I saw the timeline chapter thing and it said 'Never Pick The Mushroom Cave' however in the video you say the complete opposite LOL and I thought good luck days didn't change the jellies but only the luck buffs?
Well, the fruit bat cave is best if you have the woods farm along with mushroom logs. For growing fruit trees takes forever so it's best to do the CCenter otherwise.
Can someone tell me how to find the yellow ribbon scroll, I have all the rest of them, untill then I can't buy bombs from the elf , I go in the mines often and it's just not spawning
Farm fish smoker by buying cabin cost 100 g plus immediately build in riverfarm Then destroy cabin repeat until you like but remember the coal is hard to get in early 100g for 10 wood = 1 coal robin
Pro tip: call the dehydrator the deconstructor on purpose so that a bunch of people leave comments on your videos and drive engagement numbers
