Trade jobs $35K a year? Depends on what you do. You can easily make more than twice that amount after a few short years.

Most Trade jobs can’t be replaced with AI and many of them could open the door to entrepreneurship

Now he and others get to pay the student loan debt that other dumbasses took out but are too dumb to figure out how to pay it back. Loans students took out to pay for spring break & gambling along with classes. This system should be cancelled NOW!!

What is not mentioned here, a welder can pick up as many side jobs as they want and launch their own business with relative low cost. This can be a lucrative trade skill if navigated properly.

University has become a business and has marketed itself as a necessity. I actually know more people who ended up doing something other than what they studied. I hope more people being open to other forms of education, work experience, and development will slowly curve back the need to go to University to a more reasonable practical level.

Free college like the Europeans. Yes that means taxes would be higher but worth it. Also only have the careers that need college like doctors etc have classes in college. All other careers that don't absolutely need it just get certifications.

Happy to hear this but let me emphasize you need to take care of yourself in a trade, meaning stay off the damn drugs bc its not fair to your clients if you halfass their home repairs and you wont last physically long term if you dont

I was an engineer on a large mining project in Northeast Appalachia about 10 years ago. As soon as the tradesmen found out they had to pass a drug test, more than half of them got in their cars and drove off. It’s a major problem.
