This was a concept music video with multiple of their songs. They shot this video just after the lockdown in 2021. I really like Turnstile, this was the kind of bands I was following before falling into the Japanese music rabbit (or pigeon) hole. If you take their songs individually, they are pretty cool and fun. But I understand for a first time listening to them, this particular video is quite confusing.
The Beastie Boys comparison is very accurate. Turnstile started as a pretty standard hardcore band but they found a way to move their style into something more accessible without sacrificing the authenticity.
I didn't know about this band until... 2 days ago when I saw a video of James Hetfield and Rob Halford bobbing their heads to their music at some festival... I mean, no pressure boys hahahahaha
These guys have been doing their thing for YEARS and only recently began to breakthrough with a slight change in sound. Do yourself a favor and check out a live video of them. The live show they put on is insane - STAGE DIVES GALORE! They come from the hardcore punk scene and are as real as it gets.
Thanks, I've seen the name on flyer's but never listened to the band till this video. Turnstile is my favorite band now🙏 can't stop listening to glow on
This is probably the most "Gen-Z" band I've seen so far... You can hear their 90s influences - Nirvana , The Offspring . Respect for the 90s is now very in fashion . People even like Limp Bizkit more than ever now .
Something tells me this was the requester's sneaky way of getting you to react to 5 different songs 😂
Yeah this is actually multiple songs if you look at the credits you see them in order

Such a great band. Their "Glow On" album was the best album of 2021 hands down.

Definitely sounded reminiscent in parts to The Offspring.
Giving me early 2000”s vibes give the band for being different they don’t sound like every other band out there I dig it 😊🤘
I got a big Snapcase vibe the first time I heard these guys.
What's with the voice? Who are we imitating? Who is the inspiration? It's gotta be a gameshow host.
Besides that, dude has a good take. Cool video.
I liked the first half the second half I could have lived without
Since you probably know at this point this was multiple songs, I'd be more curious about your scores for the individual songs
He mentions them in the review at the end.
I think the last song you were looking for. But yeah this is multiple songs.
I thought the electronica was the best part, lol. Reminded me of Thom Yorke's solo work.
TLC!
