Currently playing this now and I think it's a very underrated game. It surprisingly has so much depth, you find yourself getting lost in it's world for hours.
This is a great commentary video! I love this game, the characters, the animated cutscenes, and the story missions. Definitely was a slept on game and a great expansion on The Saints Row lore.
Absolutely a treasure. The Game was so underrated. It's full of fun,it's addictive and really beautiful.Having so many different characters, powers and weapons make It very dynamic.Ok it's just about shooting and shooting but you never get tired of It.A masterpiece!!
I agree. A lot more could have been done here, but that doesn't make it a bad experience. Hopefully we will see the Agents again sometime in the future!
You sir, got my subscribe. I'm so tired of heavy handed reviews. This video is nuanced and fair. Thank you. I bought this game barging big and LOVED it but agreed with all the flaws you mentioned.
It's to be noted, this game wasn't $60 at launch, it was $50 at launch, meaning it was by most people's margin, a "budget" game. This can be seen in many places. If you don't spend roughly 20-30 hours with it, complete the story, and missions involving each team, I think you'd be fine if you didn't spend any more time. Personally I enjoy the combat and the characters. Legion Tech has a lot of build diversity with each character, each character has various upgrades like the Core Upgrades which enhance the characters, the standard Upgrades have Squad Bonuses which can be a small addition to a well crafted team. There are a lot of synergies if you look deeper into it, the Gremlin Tech can be loads of fun, some can be dumb but a good laugh like Ball Pit, Mayhem Star is batshit if you just want to run through traffic, and Moon Beam is a literal tactical laser strike "from SPAAAACE". The story is actually really good and replayable which isn't available in other Saints games (the latest games don't have this sadly). Tons of Difficulties which can be a nice challenge to test how good you are and if you want a little more out of replaying said story. Yeah, it has it's issues, but I also feel like this review was very surface level in places. Sure, Mulligan is overpowered, but it's not the only fun you can have, it's more so a crutch for those unsure of their survival rate, when you get better, improve your characters, and have a good understanding of enemies tactics, the said Gremlin Tech can be amazing in a tight space. I could go on, but I'd be writing my own review at that point, hah.
I think the major reason why people hated on this game was cause they wanted another saints row. When this was revealed the hate continued to flow. I remember some even tried to boycot this game demanding a new saints row game. Its quite sad tbh. If they just took the game as it was, and had the price been lower on launch, then perhaps this game could have gotten the attention it deserved.
It's not price it's that fact they advertised to sr fans instead of gi Joe fans who this game was targeted at this was a hell of a lot better than operation blackout which was terrible
I had a lot of fun with this and I'm still disappointed that the next Saints Row isn't set in the same universe as Agents of Mayham. I think following the rise of Boss in a non-Stillwater city first fighting local gangs then fighting Legion as well, with the Mayhem Saints and maybe some of the original Mayhem characters being sent to aid Boss would have been great.
I wouldnt mind a new update or remaster for it. Something that adds new content and expands the world size. Feels like they got rushed to release an 80% finished game. I was looking forward to it and played the second it came out but man it wasnt up to par with the rest of their games. Good framework though. If they fixed the sterile/static world, added co-op maybe, gave us more to do it could be amazing. Wouldnt mind a sequel if they learn from their mistakes.
This game certainly seems like the perfect candidate for a sequel; it's good, but could be improved upon in most areas. Fingers crossed that day happens!
Treasure, I played and enjoyed the game!

I agree, it's an overall well put together game. Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Best review of this game

This definitely would of made a great animated series too.
Trashure.
The closest we got to SR5
I've got three dollars....and like that Patrick Star could own just as much SR5 as anyone else.
Came here since there is a sale for £4.99 since that’s pretty damn cheap for a game I thought do I buy or give it a miss
I got this game for four dollars
I think I got it for around that too. At that price it's hard to find much fault with it! (there's still some faults with it)
Treasure
The total mayhem bundle is on sale for 6 dollars should i?
For $6 I think you'll get your money's worth and then some!
@@BlocksGamingReviews no probs will get it
I had it, but I was so distracted by other things that I never really got into it. Might get it again.
I think it's an easy game to pick up and play, unlike most open world titles where I have to keep track of so much. I recommend giving it another go!
This game reminds me of the animated series C.O.P.S.

Online on xbox for 3$ for the game and everything included. absolutely steal of a deal GET IT!
Had volition not made this seem like sr and advertised it towards GI Joe fans this game would've did much better
I liked it. The sequel might have been a lot better. To bad we will never know.
This game certainly seems like the perfect candidate for a sequel; it's good, but could be improved upon in most areas. Fingers crossed that day happens!
I did too once I realized it was basically gi and not saints row
U sound like Cleveland Brown
Haha I've heard that since the 90s, but thanks! I'll take it as a compliment.
@@BlocksGamingReviews No problem dude 👍

Bruh, shush. Just stick to the review please.
the games is trying to be overwatch open world. but failed
Now that SR went all the way woke and looks for the next game to be terrible.... AOM looks like a masterpiece in comparison
Kinda looks like Fortnite
I can definitely see the comparison, with the art style and camera position when firing!
Came before fortnite
@@Retrofooty177 no it didn't
