Norm and Bob together again. RIP to two of the greatest comedians of all time.
Man I would do anything to hear these guys riff together for the rest of time
@@bonglord430 They really were so great together and it's crazy to think we only got to see/hear them together 3 times publicly. When people think of what "good comedy" should be, it's this. Genius and hilariously stupid at the same time
Superdave on norms podcast was the greatest, funniest, magical show I’ve ever seen
@@seanc6042 So true.
@@defaultusername123 There's more.
I've listened to this so many times, I love how Neil comes in and goes at Super Dave for no reason
Cancer stole away both of these comedy geniuses, but I’m certain they will still be making generations laugh for years to come
A fight to the draw
@@discgolfinrude well, you gotta give it to the cancer.
It's all that laughing at evil. I'm guilty too. Probably already riddled with melanoma for all I know.
cigarettes took them!!!
cancer is parasites. dewormer meds are currently curing people of stage 4 cancers. The medical establishment does all it can to make sure you won't ever know this.
“I don’t really tell jokes” says the greatest comedian alive.
and also now probably the greatest comedian dead lol R.I.P.
@@defaultusername123 MY FAVORITE EVER ... NO BS
Not anymore
@@spencerhutchison547 quite the prick
Oof
51:20 Super Dave's genuine laugh is honestly one of the best things on this earth. I miss him and Norm so much
“That’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard a man say in my life!”
Me too....
"The Man Show and Bizarre was better than any podcast
Except for Norm's and he didn't even try
He was literally just having a good time
I cracked up really loud on the train listening to this earlier.
*plays clip* "AREN'TCHOO??" 😂
I listen to this at least twice a day. Literally.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Fuck now this is me.
Same here man
Only twice?
If you had said “figuratively”, we would have cried BS.
Norm Macdonald and Super Dave Osborne together is comic gold..
The Norm MacDonald Live! episode with Super Dave, in my opinion, is the most perfect comedy podcast ever. Absolutely amazing. The genius Norm is aware of the genius of Bob Einstein and doesn't step on his jokes like this guy.
@@robf6105 I totally agree. It was a comedy masterpiece. Three infants attempting normal conversation.
I really appreciated their off the cuff badinage.
Norm, Neil, and Super Dave were absolutely great together.
Yeah, they were great, but I don't think any of them were experts in off the cuff badinage...
@@arkansasrazorback6087lol so that's how you spell it
Falling down a Norm rabbit-hole and to find him with Super Dave was awesome, then I realized it was from my favorite radio show for years before I moved to FL more than a decade ago and heard these clips live years ago
Living down in FL, huh?
So, has that fentanyl turned back into heroin yet? Otherwise, I ain't going back.
I never knew this existed... Its like a sequel to the first episode of the norm macdonald podcast for me 😊 i love it!
Norm & Super Dave are back together for more off-the-cuff batonnage in the skies above. R.I.P. both 🙏
*badinage
Neil is great in his role here
I was late for a dentist appointment sitting in my car in the parking lot listening to this.
And making the other ones after you have to wait or make the doctor have to take a shorter break to compensate for you coming in late.
What a good personality you have! Very respectful
Are you a moth, James?
10:08 The Casey Casem "Start small, stay hard" bit killed me
HAHAHA. I'M DYING
Hearing Norm with people he loved was a rare treat. Super Dave and Artie might be the two best.
I can't believe this is on here! I used to intern on this show and it was the wildest experience in radio haha, thank you so much!
I listened to this show every morning as a kid with my mom and sister on the way to school. A lot of fond memories of it
@@henrys5291 If it wasnt for AM car rides with my folks I would've never applied. Craziest thing was Mancow had just brought back his show to WKQX, many mornings I felt like I hopped in time machine and set it to 1995 lol.
What is this show? Can't find it
I used to work at the country club Super Dave lived at in Palm Desert. Always very kind.. I miss these two guys..
Johnny B...... Absolute American DJ icon. The best radio interviewer ever. Humble. Hilarious.
This hour he shines. No guest was ever too much. This hour shows he does not need to be in the spotlight. RiP....Norm and Super. Miss Johnny!
I listened to this show every morning with my mom and sister on my way to school as a kid but I never knew norm went on. With superdave no less! Thanks for uploading this
Just choosing to listen to Norm all day and live an existence where he’s still here.
An hour of Norm and Superdave, sweet!
*I really hope if there is any kind of hereafter, these two get to see each other again.*
*Perhaps two of the funniest men to EVER live (truly two "comedian's comedians", if that means anything) and we were lucky enough to witness them both.*
*Good to know that there are still so many people out there with a sense of humor sharp enough to have appreciated Norm & Bob.*
Lettermen is a lefty btw, there is a difference between lefty's and liberals
That convo between Norm, Super Dave, and Neil is the funniest thing I've heard in a while; very interesting to hear Norm with his brother
Norm seemed uncomfortable when his brother came on. Almost like he was worried about Neil exposing a version of Norm that we never knew about
@@michaelhauser6440
True, but Norm also feels a bit ashamed in a way... as if his brother is not in on the joke and he doesn't want that. But I think his brother actually IS in on the joke, that his borther plays the part of the person that is not "in on the joke", if that makes sense.. Interesting, nonetheless.
@@MrAndMrsGrover Yes, just because he's a newsman doesn't mean he isn't savvy to what makes other media genres work.
😊
The ultimate deadpan@@MrAndMrsGrover
The giant pumpkin head joke is one of my favs… norm was so great. Rip
I wish that Super Dave went to pickup Norm for their dinner wearing his full super dave getup
OMG!! I just "Discovered" Norm McDonald (I live in Australia) Norm's a genius. But when I saw this, Who the hell would combine Norm And Super Dave (He used to be on Aussie TV) What a combination!! Two evil geniuses,
Thanks for posting this. I thought I had listened to every minute of Norm and Super Dave on youtube at least once.
These 2 guys were the best discovery I made this month, so sad theyre already gone
My idea of Heaven is Norm and Super Dave hosting the daily news.
I think Neil is deliberately de railing super Dave, either way it’s hilarious
Dave being annoyed is a bit
@@jasonvanjason9038 it's his shtick
Neil is a unfunny stain
Neil provoking Super Dave was great
Oh absolutely. Norm had to let Neil in on it even. Especially since most non comics tend to think Super Dave gets legitimately angry
Super Dave talking sane to Neal is priceless
The whole Neil addition to the call is so fucking funny.
Super Dave starting the dog in Vegas story by saying the dog was no bigger than his tennis shoe, just for Norm to two minutes later say the dog was a boxer has me dying 😂😂😂 these two are so brilliantly full of shit. Makes me happy to know they’re reunited.
The way Super Dave just can’t stop laughing when Norm starts telling a joke is hilarious… 🤣😂😂
I haven’t heard about Johnny B in decades. I was a little kid I put his tape loaded to “we’re not leavin til we’re heavin” into my sisters teddy ruxphin and woke up a bunch of my uncles buddies the morning after a bachelor party lol that was a sight to see
“Thats quite an observation there Norm“
The more I hear this Neil guy, the less I like him
Neil and Superdave somehow have a perfect chemistry.
"Wait hes telling a joke."
"Is Neil off the phone?"
"Wait Neil, im talking"
"Arent comedians supposed to ve expert at off the cuff batonnage?"
"Did someone drop an anker off the boat? Werent we sailing in comedy heaven?"
Perfect
Never be another Super-Dave.
We miss you Super Dave.
The dynamic duo of comedy continue to make me roll over and over. Another good post. And before they even "knew" each other well! Great find!
That telegraph office dog joke is wonderful
Really not a typical norm joke and that might be why I think its my favourite joke he ever told. Its not primitive, its not stupid, its wonderful
After I got watching this I heard the news. Love you Norm! R.I.P
"Norm! Wait another 5 years!"
Superdave went from "No wonder he didnt call you" to "Wait another 5 years." to "How come you never call him?"
Nice one, thanks!
Two legends.
3 if you include Neil, and I do
Super Dave and Neil? Neil is the funny brother after all.
Oh, I miss Brandmeier - luckily, he was on the air in L.A. for a while. Wish it was longer.
I can only imagine Norms thoughts when we lost Super Dave to cancer, knowing he had his own little lump stealing his own life away.
Wtf
🙏🙏
This is the best thing on youtube
Missing both of these two magnificent joy reactors. April 2024
Super Dave "I've been in this business a while.."
Neil "HA!"
Lol pretty funny guy right there
Super Dave was so damn funny
start small, stay hard
"Is that what he says in real life?"
"Good God..."
Super Dave only lived 10 1/2 more years ... Super Dave was one of those guys who miss when they are gone because he was a great man ... Oh, and Norm is dead too ...
This album rules
These guys ended up being such a good duo until the end.
30:23 "You never get a dinner.. like Red Buttons" 🤣🤣🤣
RIP Super Dave
That's sad that they both went that way
This is one of my favorite episodes. Anyone know of any other long-form shows with Norm that are as good as this one?
Anything Norm and Dennis Miller is unbelievably funny. Dennis was on SNL before Norm and Norm definitely looked up too him but Dennis treated Norm like he should have been, as the funniest man on the planet.
@@griffinkirschke5135 Yes, all of Norm’s appearance on Dennis Miller’s show are hilarious. You can practically hear him crying after every one of Norm’s jokes. Miller is so effusive and unironically hagiographic about Norm whenever he was on, it’s nice hearing him repeatedly receive such deserved praise from one of his peers.
So true about Dennis and Normie. But the very first episode of Norm MacDonald Live is one of my ultimate favorites.
Legend has it Jonathan is still waiting for Bob to call back with that other joke...
20:50 thats a timeless joke if you think about it, and universal
To this day I really hope the music they play after the jokes is ironic. I can't imagine a professional radio host actually being that bad.
does anyone know the name of the song??
It was that cheesy....
But that's why Norm and Super Dave are timeless.
it was. a play on morning zoo jocks where they tell a joke and then play a music stinger to cover how hack and unfunny the jokes are. Brandmeier gets a lot of heat on in this comment section but he was playing a part here to a degree and it apparently went over some peoples head here
Bus driver joke could be best ever
Rip to you both
14:53 “I was attacked by the night monkey” 🤣 where did that clip come from
Aren’t comedians supposed to be experts in off-the-cuff badinage?
R. I. P. Super Dave!

What is funny? This is certified funny. Thank you.

38:52 - and ta proooove it, hah
I miss Johnny Bs radio show 😢
Norm has said in interviews that Neil is funnier, it's effing fantastic to hear him, "No no he's going to tell a joke now" is absolutely hilarious.
If Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin had a baby, it would be George W. Bush!
That dog was a real jerk.
almost as cold of a demeanor as Kitchener Leslie
Heaven, Normie! Normie, Normie, Normie
Wonder if this is where Norm got the bit to make Super Dave “explain everything to the audience” on his podcast😂 1:29
@happy the dog Hey, thanks for this channel and your full-length Norm features. I love that man and so any vid with him in it, I will watch but I am getting tired of that broad selling Norm shirts in the other channel. Lol! Jk..
Anything Norm is great.
26:10 Queen of England visits a hospital
40:45 Super Don
13:50 I need to find that Bob Hope song
Goodluck i tried i think and there was nothing. Share it here if you find it
ive looked a long time for that song because of these appearances and it's damn near impossible to find even in 2021. I think it's a bit of lost media until someone asks John Brandmeier or something
Neil MacDonald, Norm’s brother’s voice, mannerisms, and intelligence is so similar to Jim Downey. No wonder they became close collaborators
This entire clip is so damn funny. Thanks for posting
14:57 classic Norm joke
I wonder if Super Dave's wife had a B on each cheek.
RIP Super Dave 🍺
38:52 drunk shirt puke joke
I love how Neil comes in big D swinging talking smack and the majority of his jokes end up falling flat and ends up being a big joke himself. Brutal
That was the joke they were doing a bit
you nailed it! Not a bad comment from a fallen student
Neil was perfect. He’s hilarious
witty battonage
What’s that bob hope song?
Bob was a genius

If you can endure the hosts, Neil, Dave and Norm are great!
The hosts aren't bad
@@KaninTuzi No I am sure they are nice people.

Norm’s bro is hilarious, yeah... 😖😩
