- Am 3. März 2011 gegen 17 Uhr am Berliner Hauptbahnhof warben Vladimir Malakhov und sein Ensemble, sowie Mitarbeiter des Staatsballetts Berlin zusammen mit Ballettschulen und Tanzgruppen Berlins für das neue Tanzstück "OZ - The Wonderful Wizard" von Giorgio Madia.
Am 12. März 2011 fand dann die Uraufführung des Staatsballetts Berlin über die fantastische Reise der kleinen Dorothy in der Komischen Oper Berlin statt.
Die Überraschungsperformance wurde übrigens eigens für diesen Anlass von Giorgio Madia choreographiert. Die jungen Tänzerinnen und Tänzer lernten sie teilweise zu Hause per Video und in ihren Ballett- und Tanzschulen.

On March, 3rd 2011, at 5 pm at the main station in Berlin an unusual performance catched the attention of the travelers at the station! The event allowed Vladimir Malakhov and his company, the staff of the Staatsballett Berlin and the ballet and dancing schools to promote the new dance piece "OZ - The Wonderful Wizard" by Giorgio Madia.
On March 12th 2011 the Staatsballett Berlin-world premiere about the fantastic journey of little Dorothy took place at Komische Oper Berlin.
The performance at the main station was choreographed extra for this event by Giorgio Madia. The young dancers learned it at home by video or at their ballet and dancing schools.
Wirklich schön. Wenn der triste Alltag doch nur lockerer wäre wie es dort für rund 4 Minuten war. Erstaunlich wie klassische Musik so manch jugendhaften Menschen verzaubert. Mehr Kultur in dieser Form sollte es öfters geben. Respekt!!!
I just came back from Berlin today, best week ever, I love Germany and all its history and feel special to watch this video and know that I've been there and there will always be good memories!
Was gibt es schöneres auf der Welt als anderen Menschen ein lächeln ins Gesicht zu zaubern :)

einfach toll - schön zu sehen, wie die Freude und Begeisterung ansteckt!

wieder und wieder habe ich totale freude bei diesen flash und es ist mir egal, ob es ein commercial oder der geburtstag meiner großmutter ist.
I was, like, oh dear, watching the beginning of this, but then became enthralled at the mastery of the dancers, and found myself clapping at my screen at the wonderfulness of it. Truly a thrilling moment.

Phantastisch Ich bin begeistert so macht das Leben spass.Ich hoffe es gibt noch mehr davon. Ich mußte mal eine Nacht dort verbrimgen weil kein Zug mehr Fuhr.Sowaas wäre eine richtige aufmunterung gewesen,anstatt das die Säufer uns dort vollgestunken hätten.Bravo habt ihr echt Phantastisch gemcht,mehr davon bitte

I saw this mob months ago and saved it. It looks really hard to dance to with that amount of dancers. Somehow it got deleted and it took forever to find it again.I did "flash mobs indoors" Then train stations I knew it wasn't in an airport. I surfed through what seemed to be state side. Then I did foren train station flash mobs. This one was about number three on the list! That bugged me for I'd say a good half hour! "Perseverance prevails!, I must be a Flashmob'aholic!!"

ich weiß noch wie die proben abliefen.. war echt der Knaller in der Mensa an der staatlichen ballettschule und schule fr Artistik berlin ^^.. wir hatten sehr viel spass und das Resultat ist auch nicht schlecht :D

You know, I´ve seen a lot of things of you in former times. But this is even on video amazing! Reminds me of Pina Bausch, somehow. Real contemporary action art with old stuff and rather simple movements. The contemporary is the expression of the dancer´s and audience´s faces. Great! @DerKleineRaecher Commercial yes, but for the "German Opera Berlin" and not Deutsche Bahn. They let them use the Station for this performance. And by the way: What a wonderful idea to bring new visitors into the opera.
