i got stuck in the same spot just after the bridge on the last night the trail to the ice falls was "open". I camped at different spots around ghost every weekend so far in May. Going back this weekend too!
Awesome video!! I just got myself a zj orvis. I stayed around the corner at the bottom of the hill all last week. Right beside that big rock. I don't know how far I can make it in this old thing..lol
I was out there 10 years or so. There was a bunch of metal. Someone had built some kinda of structure. It was nasty. Is it still there? It was just left a bit from when you enter the riverbed from the big hill. I hope it got cleaned up. Great videos that remind me of when me and my husband went there. Trans Alta is a pretty rough road. Lots of pot holes. There were cabins off of that road too. I remember the frozen water around the trees past the bridge closer to the beginning. We walked around on it. Very cool. Thx great video
Surprised you ended up getting rid of the RTT. I can see the difficulty of getting the doggo up there, though lol I'm not looking forward to hoisting my pupper up the ladder when he's full grown. I found it such a comfy sleep that I'm willing to chance it though. Either that or put his kennel with his bed in it in the truck bed with a tarp over it so he can have his own little tent setup. I'm headed to Ghost Valley in early September as part of a big expedition. Really looking forward to it. Any chance you're going to BCOR this year, btw?
Ya, I wanted to try out the Gazelle for a bit. I may go back into a RTT but it will have to be an aluminum clam style this time. I may not be able to make it to the BCOR this year. I want to but the schedule may not allow it....
