Hi. I'm Swedish and I met my husband in Chile when I was on a trip. But then I didn't know that I would stay there for 15 years. I recognize myself when you talk about culture clash. I am very open and always ask about something, while my husband is very shy. Now we have been living in Sweden for 15 years and it was a big culture clash for my husband. But our love wins over everything. Still loving each other after 30 years together.

Ahh, the big 1.0. - congrats to both of you 🎉🎊🪅 My wife and I met in Munsan when I was in the Army. We celebrated our 31st anniversary in July of this year! The only somewhat big disagreement we had was, I wanted to stay in Korea, learn the language and live in Seoul. My wife desperately wanted to live In Nyc (my hometown) and become Americanized…31yrs later, we’re still in Nyc, and still happily married 😀

The smell of food is so important to my eating experience too! Sarah is actually really onto something with that one and the longer you do it the more it becomes part of the experience and the better you get at sort of sniffing out the taste. I recently got my nose done and my inability to smell the food right after surgery drastically declined the taste of food as well! Then I thought, a lot of people only ever taste food through their mouth and got so sad! Food can be so much better :))) and Kyuho‘s pant wearing technique really cracked me up ^^ what a cute couple, the god of destiny did a good job bringing you guys together. Thank you for always making my days better, you‘ve been a source of joy for me for years now. Thinking about it I would even say you guys have inspired me to experience a singular kind of anchored joy that I only feel when watching your videos. Happy 10 Years and many more!! i can relate on the international level.... but also lucky for me my family fell in love with my hubby from the start as well as his family with me ( even though there is a language barrier ) we have been together for 16 yrs married for 12 and friends always ask how we have lasted this long and i think the fact that we trust each other and there is no jealousy in our relationship has been key.

It’s been exactly 10 yrs since I met my husband on a blind date. One thing that I don’t allow my husband to call me is ‘야’. He’s 3 yrs older but I shut that down quick. I told him it’s disrespectful to call your spouse by that. But then whenever I’m angry or joking around, I call him ‘야’ lol

I am a first generation Pacific Islander who married a German American and I wish I was as savvy and aware as you two were when you were dating and got married. I think lots of first generation immigrant kids don’t take into consideration the unspoken influences of their parent’s’ culture. Re: the question about when your parents hate the person you love. If you are the hated person, consider how hard it might be if your lover never/rarely has your back i.e., they stay close to their family and you try to make it work but it's always awkward...that can wear a person down over time. Perhaps discuss with your lover how holidays and so on will work for both of you, etc., It is not easy to be married (23 years) to someone and have an in-law who hates you (in my case, I'm the wrong color).
It's all about communication. It's kinda ironic and sad how much we've developed communication technology, but still struggle to actually connect with someone. If anything it seems like the more we invest in digital communication the less we appreciate each other.

I think people are curious because they don't understand why there's no drama, no emotional manipulation, no negativity of any kind in your relationship. I initially tuned in week in/out because I missed Seoul, but stayed on because I love watching the genuineness, your honesty, your supportiveness, how you communicate with each other, transparency (not only with your audience, but most importantly with each other).

The smell of food is so important to my eating experience too! Sarah is actually really onto something with that one and the longer you do it the more it becomes part of the experience and the better you get at sort of sniffing out the taste. I recently got my nose done and my inability to smell the food right after surgery drastically declined the taste of food as well! Then I thought, a lot of people only ever taste food through their mouth and got so sad! Food can be so much better :))) and Kyuho‘s pant wearing technique really cracked me up ^^ what a cute couple, the god of destiny did a good job bringing you guys together. Thank you for always making my days better, you‘ve been a source of joy for me for years now. Thinking about it I would even say you guys have inspired me to experience a singular kind of anchored joy that I only feel when watching your videos. It‘s similar to the joy I feel when watching the forest or thinking about the eternal order of the universe or when my closet fills with the flowery smell of fresh washed bedsheets or when I discover a new cozy coffee shop with coffee that, in a miraculous turn of events, actually suits my taste. It’s been exactly 10 yrs since I met my husband on a blind date. One thing that I don’t allow my husband to call me is ‘야’. He’s 3 yrs older but I shut that down quick. I told him it’s disrespectful to call your spouse by that. But then whenever I’m angry or joking around, I call him ‘야’ lol

Re: the question about when your parents hate the person you love. If you are the hated person, consider how hard it might be if your lover never/rarely has your back i.e., they stay close to their family and you try to make it work but it's always awkward...that can wear a person down over time. Perhaps discuss with your lover how holidays and so on will work for both of you, etc., It is not easy to be married (23 years) to someone and have an in-law who hates you (in my case, I'm the wrong color).
It's all about communication.
It's kinda ironic and sad how much we've developed communication technology, but still struggle to actually connect with someone.
If anything it seems like the more we invest in digital communication the less we appreciate each other.
