Agree! It’s almost the same character arc for all of them (for me anyway); jeez that’s cheap.. yeah but it’s super cheap so what can you expect… fair point, so yeah meh it seems fine, just temper your expectations
@@transatlant1c I do not think there is anything wrong with "budget" EDC or "knockoff" EDC. As long as you're aware it won't compare to the big dogs, it will let you know if you like the style without forking out big bucks,
Could you make a video with the new tiny measurements like Lufthansa or Wizz Air? I am planing a 30 day trip to Thailand. If I take only a very small bag I could save over 200 € and can buy clothes there. Are there thin and light bags with no extra features? What would you pack, only electronics? I am old and experienced and I dont want to carry more than 7 kilos.
Nice and funny video. You should do a x out of 10 on the products, just an idea. Btw the umbrella is a sun shade umbrella. That's why it's black inside and you have the UV factor written on it . Thank you for good videos :)
Would love to hear Tom/team's updated thoughts on the Purist Collective Maker (after having spied it in this video, at least it looks like it). Maybe an update to the timeline on the review page?
Looks like the Purist Collective Maker! I was also intrigued to see Tom was using it considering how many products he/they've reviewed. Anything that sees daily use must be pretty good.
I recommend not carrying a metal multi-tool when you're traveling, even a plastic one may get confiscated. Either ship it ahead, borrow a friend's tool or make the attempt by putting it in checked luggage (with the possibility that it might not make it through security).
you can carry multitools in checked luggage, there is nothing against it. you can't carry weapons. and on the plane, you can actually carry blades (and scissors) that are shorter than 6cm and are not pointy. you need to check the website of the airports you go through of course, but in Europe, most airports have this policy. I printed out my base airport's policy just in case a secrity agent is being a pain in the behind but I had no issues taking my manicure kit on board.
Stanley bottles are the second STUPID thing ever with its accessories being the first! Grow up and drink water from a glass or a reasonably sized bottle if you absolutely have to carry one. There, I said it! 😅
My first thought about the mighty bar was that it will be helpful for people with long nails. It can kind of replace the nail's function so that you don't ruin them or hurt yourself :)
This is a tough comment for me to leave. I love this channel, love the content it makes, love all the presenters in their solo videos. And I absolutely love the concept of these social media shop bulk reviews. I can appreciate skepticism, I am a knee-jerk negative nancy myself. But Tom...your constant initial reaction to nearly every product makes these videos almost unwatchable for me. It's beyond just being negative, or "looking for the catch/scam" of a sketchy product. Your tone reminds me so much of a parent with holding praise. (go ahead ya'll, I'm well aware this "sounds like a personal issue") you pick up each item as if it's already disappointed you, you're already not impressed, and you're just searching for a reason to explain why it sucks. We already know most of these items are "cheap" compared to the expensive, upper tier quality items Pack Hacker normally reviews, WE KNOW these are the Great Value knock offs. Some of us can only afford these knock offs though. We're looking for verification that they're not scams, not that they're simply lower quality items. Please...giving the item a fair shake is vital. That doesn't mean you have to blow smoke about something that is a genuine scam item, but could you be conscious of how you are stepping into each reaction? From the outside, it REALLY feels like you're utterly bothered by having to look at these 'fun' items. I still love this channel, I'm not trying to attack Tom, and I'm not trying to be a hater. Genuine feedback from someone who is seeing something that may be overlooked otherwise in the big picture view of these reviews. ❤
umbrellas aren't for storms... even the most expensive umbrella will just get ruined in the wind. if it's stormy/windy, you need a raincoat. Umbrellas are for light rain or to shade from the sun... and for that, cheap ones do the duty just fine.

Love this format. Wish we could get detailed closeup shots next time. Cheers from the Philippines! 🇵🇭
Musta kabayan!!!
Thanks for watching! 😃
I love the questions that Tom is asking for each one. All of these are gimicky and he knows it.

That EDC Storage Bag is perfect for storing a power bank and associated cables.
"Flingy-a-roundy"....Is that one of those technical terms that is used in the EDC space? Great video!
Thanks for watching! 😃

Watching Tom carry a Stanley cup in a neoprene carry is hilarious!!
Love this format!!
The ridge dupe breaks at the rubber part I’ve had 2 break that way
always a great video. I use a rollator so I got a (very large) two layer umbrella hat.
Thanks for watching! 😃
The term you are looking for when looking inside the bag, the stuff that is there when embroidering to stabilize the fabric is called stabilizer.

I have become a "non-carrier" water bottle. Thanks Tom! 😊

Le meilleur couple youtube pour l’équipement EDC 😅
I too am now a zipper snob thanks to Pack Hacker 😂
😂😂😂
Nothing worse than having a quality bag or something that will "last you a life time"and then the zippers break in 5 months.
What brand is Tom’s mug?

Love the video! Do more EDC gear, there's so much out there. Where's the link for the corduroy pouch though?

I’ve forgotten several leatherman micras and had to leave them behind. They always made it through checked luggage.

Tom: "I'm here to kick a$$ and eat Cap'n Crunch!..." 😄
What Brand was the pouch? Looks like a Viperade clone. Viperade has a quality build and ykk zips.

The Stanley thing looks like a baby golf bag 🤭
5:44 looks similar to viperade but those use ykk for sure…
love the energy in this video

I will never shop on TikTok 😂

The reason why it's bad luck is because it offends the god Ra to open it door because umbrella was originally designed to keep the sun off you
Zipper reviews basically
there's no way any umbrella keep you dry in any windy condition, even the biggest and expensives ones
Some very cool gadgets I bought many useful things on Temu but I will investigate Tik Tok shop now.
My fave is the minimalist keychain.
Is that a hickey?
