You all made me weep! .... At 0: 434 CET, here in Barcelona, on a wild, windy night, 21st January 2020, you cracked my heart open! ... I am out of adjectives! It's all beyond my comprehension!!! ... WHERE are all the other people on this planet?
Be careful. This music is speaking to your ears- it's speaking to your soul.
I'm kicking myself how I only came across this now.
Never knew how well the uilleann pipes can perform and compliment together with strings.
2 years on UA-cam and 21.5k views. Why am I the only person commenting on it? This marrying of European Baroque with Irish traditional is absolutely captivating, or am I the only person who thinks so? I just searched Amazon for the CD but it's unavailable. Does anyone know where I can buy it?
The girl playing the violin...the one furthest away with the dirty fair hair...I'm sure I saw her in the orchestra for Tosca in the cork opera house in 2019. Think it was about Oct/Nov time. Fantastic.
Magnificent! I have just learned about Turlough O'Carolan today.
the strings round out the pipe " bluntness" - ' keyboard' included as strings . Great rendition
This rendition is so nourishing for the Soul :)
This is astoundingly beautifull!!!!!!!
Wonderful rendition of this beautiful melody/tune. Nicely done!!!
Oh, and the playing is fantastic...beautiful.
What a beautiful performance. Thank you 🌹💚
I cant imagine why no one has commented on this fabulous little video so far. Tracking this video down after hearing the music played on Classic FM radio (in Australia), the catchy tune with this ensemble playing was really impressive. Indeed having looked for other videos of the same Celtic tune Sí bheag, sí mhór, I was unable to find any that approach the sound and pure joy of this one. It certainly lifts the spirits as many Celtic pieces can do.
A dream come true! So beautiful!!
Absolutely beautiful. Wonderful piping and arrangement.
Beautiful! Si beag, si mor!
Absolutely first class!
Great Len. Sorry I did not persevere with my violin. Too late now.
so nice
Not quite in the Irish fireside tradition, but a fascinating and enjoyable extension. And why are women fiddle players so sexy? (Well, most of them...)
