Instead of sprinkles: shaved soap in some fun colors! Instead of powered-sugar-mix: whipped soap! Instead of chocolate chips: chunks of brown soap! Be careful with your body!
1. Using food dye will stain your skin and the tub 2. Using powdered sugar, sprinkles and chocolate chips equals giving yourself a yeast infection 3. Be responsible and use soap dye/non-food materials in your bath bombs 4. BuzzFeed should know better since it’s about the third time I see these DIYs in a compilation and every comment section is swarming with comments like this one
three headed mountain dew I'm only 2 bath bombs in, but they've used soap dye for those 2. The sugar and candy is a terrible idea though. What makes these "luxury"? The coconut or essential oils? People so much want to diy Lush bath bombs but the problem is they don't have access to the wonderful ingredients Lush uses that actually have any positive impact on your skin. Coconut oil and Epsom salt isn't going to do any more for your skin in a bath bomb then it would just pouring it into your tub or rubbing on your body after a bath. I just don't get it. All this just for the fizz and color but no actual benefit?
Angela Jung they basically are - it’s just like bath salts, but they fuzz and they’re fancy. they’re great if you’re into taking self care days and you take a nice bath and everything, but there’s hardly any benefit in those. they smell and look nice, i suppose. the last bath bomb uses food dye and it’s BLACK, it’s going to stain your tub so badly
three headed mountain dew I understand using ones that have ingredients that actually make your skin feel nice, I buy Lush bath bombs and bubble bars all the time. I cut them up into pieces so I can stretch them out and use them each for like 6 baths though bc I'm cheap lol. It just seems like these won't actually do much for your skin is all and it seems like a lot of work for no real benefits. Omg black food coloring?! Buzzfeed is so irresponsible and they never actually get called out on it anywhere but the comments section. Smh.
I love it how in the first bath bomb, no glitter is added. But once they show you how it looks in the bath, the bath is sparkling. Come on buzzfeed, at least shown us the real result of what we are making.
Watermelons Please I make bath bombs and there was one hundred percent glitter in the water. The bubbles are normal but it had glitter suspended in the water.
At least they're using soap dye now but who in their right mind is putting sprinkles in the bath? Also wtf is luxurious about food themed bath bombs? The only even remotely "luxurious" one was the dragon egg one just because it had a prize inside as that's not the bath bomb standard. The geode one was pretty cool though.
Some things to use instead of dangerous ingredients: ~ powdered sugar and merangue powder: whip up some soap! There are many recipes online ~sprinkles: shaved soap, drawn on lines or exclude! Better safe than sorry! ~chocolate chips: brown soap, chunks of lotion or conditioner ~Black food colouring: a little bit of activated charcoal (be careful with this) Stay safe, ladies!
I don't think sprinkles and powdered sugar would be that good for your skin, but it probably would smell nice😅 maybe use colored soap shavings instead of sprinkles? Or talcum powder instead of powdered sugar? P.S: desecrating that cookie with polish and hot glue near about made me cry, y'all were wrong for doing that😂
Ruth Mekuria I don't know about skin, but bathing in any kind of sugar, powdered or otherwise, is a yeast infection waiting to happen. It's SUCH a bad idea to tell people to do this
I tried the geode one and absolutely loved it! Not only did it feel amazing, it was a really beautiful decoration in my bathroom and just all around visually appealing.
If you dont put corn starch into your bath bombs, then i recommend freezing the bath bomb for an hour and taking it out to let it dry for another 2 or 3 hours in the mold because they'll kind of sink and de-shape, which makes it look like its melting. Also, food coloring only stains if there is too much added. Feel free to use food coloring in things such as sugar scrubs and products like these, just add in the colors with caution.
I’ve never had luck with bath bombs made with water. They always end up partially activating and then they don’t fizz as well. I only use oil as my binder, and it makes for a very moisturizing bath. Olive oil works really great if you don’t have coconut oil. Just be careful getting out of the tub because it does get slippery.
I dont think that sprinkles, chovolate chips and food dye is a good idea. Food dye is bad on tub and sprinkles is bad for skin and tub and chocolate chips is food not bathub bomb material
Love it how everyone is just like “DON’T USE FOODDYE IT WILL STAIN DON’T USE YEAST IT WILL GIVE YOU AN INFECTION” and meanwhile I’m here like *WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO A COOKIE?! Cookie loves you and this is how you repay cookie?*
I know all the comments say the same thing and I'm about to restate it, but I want to make it clear for people who don't understand: -Ladies, sugar/powdered sugar can give yeast infections! This also isn't great for the skin. -Make sure to use *soap* dye and not food dye! Also, if you use black dye don't use too much or it will ruin the tub and your skin. -Though chocolate and sprinkles are cute, they're not good in a bath tub. Try pieces of colored soap! -For any of these, make sure you shower afterwords because excess oil can make you greasy and if you do choose to put actual food in your bath bomb it will leave a residue. Take care!
Virgo Ana yes you can! The corn starch is there to keep the bathbomb together and it’s safe for you but you can substitute it. You can use 1/2 of a tablespoon of polysorbate 80. It’s like an oil and you can get it off of amazon!
Even if you've never had a yeast infection before, SUGAR WILL ABSOLUTELY GIVE YOU ONE SO DONT USE REAL SPRINKLES! Use soap ones! And about the glitter, USE BIODEGRADABLE GLITTER because real glitter clogs your pipes and polutes the waters

Roxy Grealy Wal Mart. That's about the cheapest you can get all of these items unless you're buying in bulk or something. Tbh you'd be better off buying bath fizzers at the dollar tree or buying a Lush bath bomb and breaking it up to use for a bunch of baths. I get the bigger bath bombs and bubble bars at Lush and break them into pieces and you still get plenty of color and scent and bubbles in the tub, but you can stretch those big ones into 6-8 baths. I used to use the whole thing and it was so expensive.....then I started breaking them up and realized it worked just as well using less!

Make a video about this plz ❤
Probably not, sorry! Nifty actually has a video on whipped soap somewhere around here...
Yas thank u!

three headed mountain dew I feel you and me would be great friends
The rest is right, but the food dye won't stain your skin if it dilutes in the water first.
I get your point, though.

And here we see Buzzfeed Nifty trying to harm people
Ur profile poc is amazing
or, you know, buy safe bath bombs from lush or something
i'd rather buy something than give myself a yeast infection and stain my white tub purple!
Essentially the same thing goes into lush bath bombs. Here’s an example of the lush ingredients.. (Full Ingredients
Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Popping Candy (Isomalt, Lycasin, Carbon Dioxide) , Fragrance , Cream of Tartar (Potassium Bitartrate) , Water (Aqua) , Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita) , Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi) , Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides) , Cedarwood Oil (Juniperus Virginiana) , Sodium Laureth Sulfate , Lauryl Betaine , Titanium Dioxide , Synthetic Fluorphlogopite , Tin Oxide (Tin oxide) , Silica , *Limonene , *Linalool , Yellow 10 Lake , Yellow 5 Lake , Blue 1 , Red 28 , Iron Oxides .)

Jk
kamic gaming and more Why I need to shut up? Because one idiot say that? I dont think so
Sugar, powdered sugar, chocolate, sprinkles, basically anything with sugar will get you a yeast infection if your a girl :/ so I agree
lilly Pastor Oh forgot to mention that!
Note: if you want more all natural bath bombs instead of citric acid you could use lemon juice
Yes, but lemon juice already contains citric acid and it might ruin your bath bomb (and give you a yeast infection!)
Citric acid is natural
Use whipped soap instead of real sugary stuff
Is whipped soap the consistency of shaving cream but t h i c c e r??
Sugar... Cornstarch.. food dye.. Chocolate chips.. AND THE POOR COOKIE!!! WHAT HAVE CHU DONE BUZZFEEEEEDDDD?! I don't want a yeast infection!
2:24 omg such cool bath bombs looks so crystaly!!!!!
the music is so satisfying
headphone users where u at?
I love how their vids are straight and quick to the point
This is a nifty 💡. These soaps, bath salts are the bomb.
For the cupcake “frosting”, you could use shaving cream
What a waste of a good cookie!!!
So ontop of what everyone else is saying don’t add the water all at once like they did it causes your mixture to activate. Only a few drops at a time
YEAST ALERT YEAST ALERT
I've watched what feels like a million bath bomb videos and this is by far the best!!! Thank you!
I will never forgive Nifty for wasting a perfect cookie for a bath bomb
If y'all want to sub something for powdered sugar, use cornstarch, it's a main ingredient in powdered sugar.
Love it how everyone is just like “DON’T USE FOODDYE IT WILL STAIN DON’T USE YEAST IT WILL GIVE YOU AN INFECTION” and meanwhile I’m here like *WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO A COOKIE?! Cookie loves you and this is how you repay cookie?*

thanks for the potential tilt in my pH balance and yeast infection with the sugar, buzzfeed
rock on
I always watch these kinds of videos even though I never make these myself
What's another alternative for citric acid?
Cam we eliminate cornstarch from the recipe ?
Virgo Ana yes you can! The corn starch is there to keep the bathbomb together and it’s safe for you but you can substitute it. You can use 1/2 of a tablespoon of polysorbate 80. It’s like an oil and you can get it off of amazon!
Absolutely, but let it freeze for an hour, take it out, and let it dry for another 2 or 3 hours IN THE MOLD. You can leave it out over night too.
I love every idea!
They wasted that beautiful cookie!😭😭😭😭😭😭
instead of sprinkles used gold leaf, copper leaf, or silver leaf??
The best channel
Even if you've never had a yeast infection before, SUGAR WILL ABSOLUTELY GIVE YOU ONE SO DONT USE REAL SPRINKLES! Use soap ones! And about the glitter, USE BIODEGRADABLE GLITTER because real glitter clogs your pipes and polutes the waters
Why did you use a spray bottle for the egg bath bomb?
I recommend shaving foam for the icing
is this safe for any type of skins? Mostly The sensitive types?

Why would you spend your time making a bath bomb that looks like a donut when you could spend your time making an actual donut
Sadly we don't have a bath tub only shower and a big bucket with mug
Where can I buy citric acid?
Can I use another salt instead of Epsom salt?
ZAIRA BAREA it won’t dissolve in the same way.
You can use sea salt and I like pink Himalayan personally. There are tons of different Epsom salts too! Like lavender and coconut
Just don’t use regular salt. It’ll dry u out
I like the donuts bath bomb
Very luxurious
