I was today's years old when I found out that wild hamsters exist! 🤯 I've only ever seen them in cages as house pets. It's so cute seeing them in the wild. Thanks for capturing this, bro-they're so adorable! 😍
I loved this video so much, thanks for sharing, those hamsters are the cutest things! This video is also special because my daughter had a hamster that looked very much like these ones, and he passed away recently. She was really upset about it, but a day after he passed, your new calendar that I ordered arrived at my house, with the hamster picture on the cover. I showed it to her and told her that it was a sign that her hamster was doing ok up in heaven. So thank you for your work, this one meant a lot to me. ❤❤❤
I enjoyed this wonderful production so much and also your fantastic personality seen through your excellent explanations and personal feelings. Vielen Dank, lieber Gamander! 🫂🙏
This was so special to watch! Thank you for sharing your work with all of us! The hamsters are so wonderful! I hope you will make more videos in the future of all the beautiful and interesting animals you find! 😍😍😍
Ha, never expected hamsters to live on graveyards, just on fields! How cool! Also never saw one in nature, but deeply wish to do one day. There are studies where "normal" people can participate in Germany in regions were they still exist, but sadly I don´t live in such a region. How nice Your girlfriend shares Your passion and liked to join You for hours with the cameras. That sounds like a perfect match🥰
Oh my god, Gamander, it was so beautiful! It made my mood. You are truly an inspiration. Also it makes you wonder how much effort and skill is behind such videos. If you take for example the famous footage of hamsters in the graveyard by BBC with David Attenborough commentary, your video shows how much it needs a real expert to be able to shoot these. Your videos are really calming and mind soothing, I can't wait for seeing more!
Such an adorable video thank you for sharing we do not have wild hamsters here in Canada, they are absolutely fascinating to watch! I love the fat old one!!!🤭❤️
This is absolutely genius! Your photography and video work is exceptional! This is a darling video! The music score for this is perfect!! Absolutely wonderful job!!
What a great video! How wonderful that you are now on UA-cam. Love love love hearing you explain about the hamsters and the filming process. Continued success to you!❤
Loved the vid. Your talking is more then fine at this point and you will improve like crazy over the next 10 videos anyway! Super nice to get some real bts here now :)
Wonder video, editing and soundtrack choices!! Thank you so much for sharing, it’s absolutely adorable🥰 It’s rare to see wild hamster videos, I appreciate it and enjoyed every second of it!
This is incredible! I had no idea wild hamsters were so fascinating to watch. Thank you for capturing their natural behavior! Glad that I found your video on Instagram.
I seriously love your content so much! It makes me very happy to look at your photos and videos and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this little movie and also gain some insight into your way of working. It shows how much work and effort you put in and I really admire your patience 😅 But it is definitely worth it and I thank you for sharing these precious moments with us 😍
This video make my day!! They are so cute and lovely🥹💞💞 Thanks for sharring this with us, you did such an amazing work documenting these beautiful creatures!☺️💞
5:57 og this is such a healing time thanks for this great video i really love those hamsters and how you captured them in frames look at those tiny feet and chubby chins
This "hazelnuts" are eatable chestnuts, "marrons", "castañas" 😉. They are really delicious if You collect and bake them, I was surprised hamsters also know and collect them. Never offered one to our "Freddy Auratus el segundo" when he lived with us, after I read the books of el primero Freddy Auratus to my son when he was about six yo😅 Of cause he was a goldhamster, the much smaller one from syrian desert. edit: sorry, You had been right, it had been hazelnuts😆. Marrons also are in a very spiky capsule, I was pretty sure they looked like that, but I was wrong🙈
Yes true marrons would probably be even more difficult to get out for the hamster. And yes I doubt that a Goldhamster could actually eat a hazelnut but maybe they also got very strong teeth 🦷😄
I love hamsters 😂😂❤❤ there are so cute!! We pet a male syrian hamster, a very gentleman hamster and so sweet, he never bit us, but instead let us cuddle and hug him all the time and his name is CHOCO, he kinda resembles to the hamster you recorded in austria ❤😂
wonderful. question! the "impact" sounds during the fight, were those captured on site or just something you created in post? how about the rest of the environmental audio?
Fat and old is really old in hamster terms! You can see the hunched back indicating that he's starting to feel his age. Also he might've been fat some time ago but has sunken in a lot with age. The footage you got is awesome! It might even be clear enough to sex them? I'm not a hamster guy, but my guess would be that fat and old is male and the young one is female? It'd be great if anyone could chime in ^.^
Thanks a lot! And yes I think your right about the “fat” and especially old one. I’m actually not completely sure whether the one living in the grave was male or female ^.^
Apparently they're quite agressive. There's no way thetcould be domesticated. They are beautiful. Ive had Syrian hamsters since i was 8 im now 60. Fascinating intelligent creatures ❤❤❤
Ahhh, You live in Germany too? May I ask from which side You got the spanish name (my dad was argentinian (italian origin greatgreatgrandparents, no former german Na*is!). Didn´t know You already made a book, this will get on my list, sadly just ordered some books and always collect some because of the environmental costs of delivery.

Thank you so much!! ❤️ Yes wild hamsters are just amazing!
Well, those caged hamsters also used to live wild in the regions they come from originally. Goldhamsters for example are from the syrian deserts.
Me too! Never known there are wild hamsters . Love them.. ❤❤❤
Such a great video Gamander!
So interesting to see and the footage is truly amazing. So inspiring.
You did great talking to the camera too!
Thank you so much Olle!

Fantastic, thank you! I love your work. You should market to schools! ❤
Thank you so much! I actually had a school reading for my book just this week. It was for a 5th class and I would love to do more in the future!
