      Dolphins d only gave up 181 yards against the Texans, kc gave up 311. The offensive/ turnovers were the issue

      @outbackorchard stats are misleading. They made the plays to score 20 points. With mia helping them by continuing to turn the ball over, the only way mia gets back in the game is if Houston turns it over too. So, the strouds put it in conservative mode. That is smart winning football.
      A game isn't about stats. It's about when a play needs to be made, who makes it. They made more plays than mia.

    When I look at the Dolphins offense, I see a team who is always trying to outsmart the other team. In doing that, they almost always outsmart themselves. Many times, keeping it simple and just imposing your will on the other team is enough. Even if the other team knows what you are going to do, they still have to prove that they can stop it, period! Mike Mcdaniel constantly overthinks, and with a below average O-line, you are not going to win anything.

    When it's Year 3 and we still have issues of the OL sliding protection, getting playcalls to the QB on time, WRs running the wrong routes, etc. it's obviously an issue with the system and how it's done.
    I'm fucking old enough to remember when two the ago, people were mad at McDaniel for not dumbing-down the offense for a backup, and praising LeFleur for tailoring the offense to his backup and winning both games.
    McDaniel can't be the OC next year, it has to be Frank Smith, if we're forced to retain McDaniel.

    First of all, I’ve been a dolphin fan from the first game that’s how old I am I don’t think you and a lot of people get it. Trouble started when they drafted the wrong quarterback and try to build around him financially and everything else. Think of what this team would be like if we had Herbert and built around him we would have drafted different kind of players around him because of size his arm strength more conventional offense did short thing and dump crap that we have here will never work because eventually you will see offsides or holding, and that throws the whole drive off or turn over we made major mistake and have compounded the problem with coaching and everything else. It all comes down to. Tua just because big O has an opinion doesn’t mean he’s right. I’m a little older than been around a little longer. Problem is when you’re in the business like he is you start believing that everything you think of is the right thing he has back this quarterback from the very beginning and I have said big mistake. Remember hip injury coming out of college and now history of concussions. He is thinking of Joe Montana, but the game has changed. It won’t be right in Miami until we get a franchise quarterback in here which is been impossible for a lot of years. We need football people in the front office not the garbage we have

This kind of reminds me of the Sean Payton and Russell Wilson situation in Denver where Payton said in his press conference one time that he might need to simplify his play calling verbage so that the guys on the offense can get on the same page! I still think we gon pull this one out. It's gonna be a close game tho!!! The defense remains a question mark for me. Which one is going to show up in this game. uhm when Tua said that he didnt study the playbook, that was with Flores and the Flores Offense. Are you trying to tell everyone that everyone elses offense is super duper simple and that McDaniel Offense is so uber complicated compared to everyone else? Or perhaps it has more to do with a QB that scored really bad on the wonderlic test while someone like Josh Allen scored really good on that same test so he's able to process things instantly where Tua takes time to process things upstairs. Don't assume everyone's ability to think and process thinks are one and the same and that the only difference on the field are physical characteristics and "decision making" as to where and when to throw the ball.

  • @theodoresmith5272

    Yes and no. Mclovin is working around a qb with several limitaions with arm strength, mobility, and brain processing. This limits the playbook and defense know it. Its why we see the same plays over and over again with different formations, players and motion.
    Why have 3 professional nfl offensive coaches all ended up with a lot of screen passes in tuas offenses? Its what he does well.
    Everyone screaming its everyone elses fault like the olines, tua is worse with time. Anytime his first read isnt open, its a problem. Sometimes he makes plays but most of the time, it isnt good.
    Think about this, its 4th and 1, ehat will we see with tua? Either a run up the gut that everyone runs, a wr run, or a tua quick pass. Defenses know it and are sitting on it. Now lets take allen. He can sneak, hand it off to a wr or rb, he can go Tebow, he can roll out with the run pass option. He can throw a quick pass or you can trust him to buy time to throw longer. He throws well on the run. He runs like a deer, a john deer.
    So we do to much to hide the fact we run the same 4 plays 80% of the time.

    • @sterlingG1
      @sterlingG1 День тому

      Our running backs can’t even get a yard on 4th n 1 cuz our line don’t block. Starts with the oline the online has been crap for the last 15 years. This is why WR’s aren’t getting open this is why we can’t run up the middle n have to go to the outside all the time this is why tua has to throw it immediately, this is why it’s nothing but screens. Not enough time for plays to develop. I blame the line n will continue to blame the line for the offense until it’s adjusted. All but maybe 1 or 2 ppl on that online wouldn’t even start on a team if it wasn’t for the dolphins. And one of them never plays a full season. This offense won’t be anything until we have blockers. If we can’t run we can’t get open and we can’t pass down field it’s clear it’s the blocking from the online.

    • @theodoresmith5272
      @theodoresmith5272 День тому +1

      @sterlingG1 no, the defense is sitting on it. That's why it is hard to run. When it can only be 3 plays. A run up the gut everyone does. An end around or a quick throw from tua. That's all they run. Trams are sitting on it. While I don't think the line is great, what I just described is a bigger problem. See elite qbs like burrow, Herbert, Allen, Jackson, mahomes don't need no stinking rb to run for 4th and 1. They do it.

      The problem is, is that not everyone has a QB who has elite physical traits, like Allen or Mahomes (who can play or fit in any system because of their unique physical traits and skill sets), so it's up to the coaches (with less talented QBs) to tailor the offense to whatever strengths that QB has, as they should do. I watched Denver the other night, and Bo Nix had at least 10-15 seconds to read the defense. We are constantly lining up with little time left, and the defensive rush can time the snap because it has to be hiked at 1 second.

      BO Nix has a live arm and is very mobile and athletic. Everything Tua does not have. Tua throws to a point very accurately, but with physical and fast defense Tua struggles

    Miami WR’s need to be in motion because they are small and get manhandled at the line. Putting them in motion gives them space.

      How? For instance...every team runs deep cover 2 against us; I haven't seen 1 same side out route with a corner route behind it. We saying Tua can't throw a corner route? It's bad coaching/play design.

    I think it’s been a thin line of being great and brewing trash, keep mike keep Grier and hire a OC and see if that will help, bc with this roster we could been way better many games we could of won despite all the penalties

    “Brian Flores owns the Rams.” He didn’t own them on TNF this year. More experienced quarterbacks aren’t falling for this whole show one defense switch to another after the snap. It tends to give younger QBs issues though. Also I’ve watched a number of teams like the Rams and they all run the clock down to the very end with motion as well. This just sounds like more excuses…

    And to add to the last comment every time Tua calls a play and they’re walking up to the line he’s looking at his wristband so obviously he doesn’t really fully understand what he’s calling. McDaniel is an idiot. That’s fine. He wants to be smart, but it’s not rocket science it’s football.
