Please make video on ur musical journey...from when u got inspired nd started producing nd learning then how u started getting project nd releasing ur own music! That would be so great ❤️ And thank u so much for useful tips!
I played your remix on repeat for about an hour creating some notes. Watching this breakdown I was lightly shaking my head at parts in amazement. Love being on this journey with you!
Just discovered your channel from your YT shorts. This is what I was looking for to get my imagination of creating electronic music in Ableton opened. Thank you for that and keep releasing this very useful production techniques and insights!
I don't use any of these tools, but I have the greatest respect and it's wonderful to see female producers! And you have some pretty sick tracks. Your creativity is off the charts. Way to leverage technology to accomplish your goals!
I subscribed today from your UA-cam short of this. Thanks for the deets on those settings and your easy understanding of these sweet tweaks in todays plugins. Pro doose
I was anticipating your remix breakdown after seeing and hearing you on Andrews channel. And girl, you didn't disappoint!! It's so interesting to see your approach to vocals, as this is something I have struggled with most of the time of my producer journey. Thanks for the inspiration and insights, looking forward to see and hear more from you! Oh, and have a great Christmas 🎄⛄!! Greetings from Cologne, Germany
You are so good! I'm trying to learn music producing in Ableton and your breakdowns feels like its so easy! Would love a 'How to make a pop song' video of some sorts. Anyways keep going - liked and subbed.
Thanks for sharing the process. Personally I don't like the sound of formant-shifted vocals, but other than those your elements sound great. Would be interesting to hear your remix with the original and non-formant-shifted vocals on top!
Im out of words...as a solo improv player your trip is outstanding as I have dug into some production myself. Thank You so much for coming out and sharing your process.
I cant imagine how much time you got behind to get to where you are with the knowledge to execute like this. Its clearly paying off! Cant wait to see more :D
Ok, so way back in the day, I remember reading an article in Future Music magazine that stated exactly what you said in the first minute of this vid. I'm glad to see that it's still a viable option. And honestly when you remix an artist in a completely different direction, it's like you're starting from scratch and creating your own vision for the song. I really enjoyed watching how you do this. Thansk.
Learning so much from you, thank you for being generous with your process! You are one of my inspirations and I hope to be as creative a producer as you are
❤❤❤WARNING THIS MIGHT MAKE YOU TEAR UP! ---- "It's practice and imagination that gets you here, NOT what you buy" --- Pretty solid life advice. Thanks Wylie.
I enjoyed your thoughts. My first professional piece of equipment was an Emu Emax II in 1991. A 16 bit sampler with resonant filters. I bought it when I was 19, I saved all my money for a year to get it. Same, you are a really good sound designer with samples. But don't bullshit me with an analog synth. Then I saved my money again and bought an Oberheim Xpander.
I wish I had so many great ideas (I wish I knew how to EQ :/). Anyways, you gotta take a look at the OCS-45 cassette simulator. I absolutely LOVE that plugin
Hey listen. We need, I need more of this format full length videos too. I know it takes a lot of effort. But it helps me get my ass to my workstation. So you helped ! Thanks. And think on it
I love this format. You talk us through a whole production but cover it very quickly. Too quickly maybe! But I'm very slow... I love your approach and the sounds that they get you. As well as the production side, I'd love to hear more about your approach specifically to composing and arranging, even if it is additional work on a mix. So, a less technical version of what you were doing here. Or maybe your creative approach doesn't really divide up that way. Thank you!
Hello madam, I want to record my poetry professionally at home. Which microphone should I buy? Dynamic or Condenser Mic? My room is not soundproof. Should I get a dynamic mic? If I record the same verse on both dynamic mic and condenser mic. After mixing and mastering, what would be the difference between the poetry recorded from both the mics? Will both be of the same quality? Will both have different quality? If the quality of condenser mic will be crisp. So can I make the poetry recorded with dynamic mic sound crisp? like condenser microphone? Please tell me such a mic and audio interface that I will not regret after buying. I am complete begginer. I am very confused. I have added money in 4 years with a lot of hard work. I don't want my money to be wasted.
really good video to show to new producer that you don't need state of the art stuff. if you know your plugins well and have a crazy creative mind like yours, you can make hits. def a new subscriber here
Unreal. You're a treasure! Please keep going with these production breakdowns. You're right, it's not the tools, it's the experimental brain behind the tools. You inspire me to break out of my rut with every track sounding the same, particularly comping synths holding down the chords behind vocals. I just use the same brassy synths or EPs for comping and I'm inspired to use more of a collage of sounds. Also, your use of effects to shape a synth preset is a true inspiration. So often, I'm just using FX to EQ, compress, delay or verb. Maybe pan and tremolo if I'm feeling crazy. But you're shaping sounds at the automation level with filter cuts to get "wah" sounds that sync with tempo... yeesh, that's a lot of drawing automation curves, but the results are so worth it. Could you do more on drums in a future video? I'm very focused on thick punchy kicks and trendy pop snares. I find myself using the same Splice samples over and over again. I would love to know how you layer your kicks and snares and apply effects to help them stand out from the pack. Thanks!
