Thank you. You don't provide the stamp per se; what you provide are the details like the date, year, address in the countries, how long you stayed there, the purpose for going there, and so on. I can not remember submitting my old passport for anything, but I definitely remember providing the details of my past travel history. Also, what they really need are empty pages in your current valid passport because they'll scan all the pages at the biometric appointment where they'll stamp your approved visa. I don't think it will be a problem, but just make sure you state it. There is a blank tab at the end of the application where they ask you to write anything you want them to know that wasn't asked or mentioned. Just state that the passport was lost. My husband did not use a letter from his landlord; he used his verified bank statement. A letter from your landlord is just to prove your address in the UK. You can also choose to use council tax, a rent contract, etc.
I got this same mail too when I applied and my visa was approved around ten days after submission. Be positive and just send what was requested. All the best☺️
Hi Nosen...I got this same email and I did put my application in 25th July.I was asked to put in my sponsors six month payslips. So I have hopes things will be ok since there are pple who passed through this and they just got visa. Glad it was helpful. The questions are nothing out of the ordinary. It could be as easy as where in the UK are you going to? do you plan to settle fully? It can be any question in that line really. For the TB test, I'd like to tread carefully, this is because before I traveled I was in your shoes, mine expired, but I had another one done for the single fact that it stated that on the certificate, but on arrival to the UK, it wasn't even requested of me at the immigration, I entered freely, so I really don't want to advise you whether or not to get another. Just use your discretion.
Hello! I cannot assure you that. It’s the home office job to determine that. But I hope and pray that it is good news for you. Just go get it and see. What I would advise is please Open the passport right there and then in the tls centre when given, don’t wait till you get home, this is so that you can ask them the way forward if what you were given is not why you expect for example. I’m glad you found the information useful. Proof of accommodation could be rent contract, council tax or utility bill like water and light bill. Sometimes they can accept a stamped letter from your bank showing the address. Hope this helps.

There is really no effect per se. Since you’re the applicant and you’re outside the Uk then you must apply outside cause you’d definitely need to do biometrics and it is physical. You and your partner can go through the application together via zoom or whatever works to make sure you’re filling it accurately and you’re on track.

Hello, There should be a reason why you were sent you this email. For example,During my time I was sent that the supporting documents I sent wasn’t enough( I only submitted my wedding certificate then) and was then asked to send more documents to prove that I and my husband has met. So I sent dated photos, our bank transaction receipts, flight ticket bookings etc. back to them So just read the fine lines of the email and cross check what documents you might have missed out on or need to send. Hello. I am a dependent through the spousal visa route and not the skilled worker visa route. So depending on your visa. So I am not super sure. But my personal experience is I got my visa in April 2022, came to the Uk in May 2022 to get my brp then went back to nigeria same May 2022 then fully moved to the Uk in oct 2022, so that’s about 5 months(around 150 ish days). So I didn’t make it to the 180 days count to really know But I believe it does apply according to UK GOV if you’re under the skilled worker visa n other. In the application questionnaire you’d be asked if you have any criminal record, if the answer is No you’d most probably be asked NOT to provide any evidence. I didn’t have to provide one. But If you do have one you should acknowledge you do in the question and they’d probably say to provide evidence at the end of the application where you’d be given a checklist of documents to provide. The checklist is what contains what documents to provide

In simple terms it means - give them time,they would work on your application, but they can’t tell you what specific time and date you’d get a decision, so you would have to wait till you hear from them.

But I want to believe if it's the spousal route and your spouse is a British citizen or has indefinite leave to remain, the difference in the procedure shouldn't be that big.

You can be requested to send more document during the application process even though you submitted all you were requested of in your checklist. The immigration officer handling your file can do so if they deem fit or if they feel they need more proof or evidence. What I know for sure is that when you get an email like this it means your application is being looked at currently so fulfil whatever you’re being asked of quickly so you can get your visa decision.

Yes. I paid for the service to keep my passport with me till a decision is made but you don’t have to. I did it cause I needed my passport. If you opt for self service you don’t have to pay anything cause you’ve paid for you visa or what not but if you want other services from them like vip, priority, etc you’d have to pay extra on the tls website as you book your appointment
Hello I only submitted photocopies of my degree. And it was to tls contact. I did self upload online. For it being necessary , it depends on your specific case. They’d normally give you a list of documents to submit after your application online. If your bsc is requested for, please add it.

Hello. If you have already changed you name to that of your husbands before applying for the visa, say your passport , then you just process your application in that name. They’d definitely ask for proof of marriage like your marriage certificate and other required documents but that is all there is really. After your application is submitted you’d be told what specific documents to present. That is when You can upload it personally if you opt for the self service by tls contact, or take it with you to your tls contact appointment if you paid for it to be uploaded by them Hope I answered your question.
You’d have to decide which name you want to use for the application. It’s either you do your name change before you apply or finish your application and relocation before you change your name. The choice is yours.

You’d just have to wait for their reply because proof of English Document is important. I’m sure they’d consider cause it’s not within your control. As for the marriage certificate, ilI really do not know but could be an error I suppose so maybe your original birth certificate will suffice.

I don’t think there is a maximum, that’s not sth anyone can control. What they mostly look for is proof to show your relationship or marriage is genuine.
Yes, I paid to keep my passport with me after my biometrics cause I needed it for an exam and when I was done I just took it to them. But you have to bring the passport with you to the biometrics cause they’d scan it before they give it to you so they ensure it’s the same passport you return. But if you’re asking if you need to pay for the collection of your passport from tls for the visa then no( no payments needed). Your visa fee and ihs is all you need

Hello Cina With regards to application for ILR in Nigeria I do not really have any information about that. I know when my Husband did his ILR years back, he did it here in UK and he opted for a fast track one which cost thousands of pounds and it came when they said it will. But fingers crossed they would let you know whatever the status of your application is , hopefully it’s within the stipulated time frame given. Kind regards.

You initially said ILR and to my understanding that’s indefinite leave to remain in the Uk , that is you get it after 5 years of your stay in the Uk as a spouse. But if you are referring to the spouse visa itself, then if you where given 24 weeks you have to wait till the time elapses. If not contacted by then, then please reach out to them. The visa can come out before the date given or after. There’s no set rule or assurance. Most visas are delaying currently cause of this Russian- Ukraine war. You can also keep an eye on you process tab on the tls app or website.

As far as I know, there is no preference. I for one got my marriage certificate from my local government registry in Ughelli, Delta state, although through my church who was registered/licensed to issue the marriage certificate. Hope it helps.

Did you go for priority service cause partner visa normally takes 14-16 weeks to get a decision for standard service That is what I can deduce from your comment.

No she does not have to. I actually applied without changing my passport name or status and I got the visa. You just need several documents like your wedding certificate for example to prove you marriage n relationship. You’re good to apply with her current passport

You can use Ielt for your proof of English. There is one specifically for visa n immigration. You’d have to research which applies to your unique case.
hey i've applied for my spouse visa back in June 2022. However, i want to know that if i can change jobs whilst my spouse visa is pending? It is so confusing and my solicitor has no clue but from what i've read online it says you can apply to other jobs after the begum case The begum case was a case which went to tribunal and they won. This all happened because the sponsor changed jobs.

Since the job was gotten after your application. It depends. And why I say that is that is if your church is licensed by the government to issue the federal type of certificate ( that is, same type you get if you were to go for a court wedding) then there is no need for a court wedding certificate. But if it’s some random wedding certificate printed by your church then please go for a court wedding certificate. Hope I answered your question? I for example used that given to me by my local church in delta state cause they are licensed

You’d have to translate her certificate to English. You cannot use your proof of English for another applicant.

Thank you for the video once again, I started my application with my wife who is in the UK yesterday, I started the registration with my email as she is applying on my behalf basically. Application outside of the Uk. What is the effect of applying outside or within the Uk??
There is really no effect per se. Since you’re the applicant and you’re outside the Uk then you must apply outside cause you’d definitely need to do biometrics and it is physical.
You and your partner can go through the application together via zoom or whatever works to make sure you’re filling it accurately and you’re on track.

There should be a reason why you were sent you this email.
For example,During my time I was sent that the supporting documents I sent wasn’t enough( I only submitted my wedding certificate then) and was then asked to send more documents to prove that I and my husband has met. So I sent dated photos, our bank transaction receipts, flight ticket bookings etc. back to them
So just read the fine lines of the email and cross check what documents you might have missed out on or need to send.

I don’t think you need call logs to be honest. I think chats would be better, receipts of money transfer between you both, engagements ring receipt, flight bookings to see each other. Things like that

Hello. I am a dependent through the spousal visa route and not the skilled worker visa route.
So depending on your visa. So I am not super sure.
But my personal experience is I got my visa in April 2022, came to the Uk in May 2022 to get my brp then went back to nigeria same May 2022 then fully moved to the Uk in oct 2022, so that’s about 5 months(around 150 ish days). So I didn’t make it to the 180 days count to really know
But I believe it does apply according to UK GOV if you’re under the skilled worker visa n other.

I am working on my spouse visa but I didn't see it anywhere that I have to provide a criminal record. Where is it ?
In the application questionnaire you’d be asked if you have any criminal record, if the answer is No you’d most probably be asked NOT to provide any evidence. I didn’t have to provide one. But If you do have one you should acknowledge you do in the question and they’d probably say to provide evidence at the end of the application where you’d be given a checklist of documents to provide. The checklist is what contains what documents to provide

In simple terms it means - give them time,they would work on your application, but they can’t tell you what specific time and date you’d get a decision, so you would have to wait till you hear from them.

Hello. I honestly do not know about this. Maybe you can research on UK gov or call the home office for more information or assistance. But I want to believe if it's the spousal route and your spouse is a British citizen or has indefinite leave to remain, the difference in the procedure shouldn't be that big.

Will the decision making centre email an applicant to send any documents if they confirm that all what was submitted is correct or complete?
You can be requested to send more document during the application process even though you submitted all you were requested of in your checklist. The immigration officer handling your file can do so if they deem fit or if they feel they need more proof or evidence. What I know for sure is that when you get an email like this it means your application is being looked at currently so fulfil whatever you’re being asked of quickly so you can get your visa decision.

Did you pay any money to TLS during your appointment booking?
Yes. I paid for the service to keep my passport with me till a decision is made but you don’t have to. I did it cause I needed my passport.
If you opt for self service you don’t have to pay anything cause you’ve paid for you visa or what not but if you want other services from them like vip, priority, etc you’d have to pay extra on the tls website as you book your appointment

For it being necessary , it depends on your specific case. They’d normally give you a list of documents to submit after your application online. If your bsc is requested for, please add it.

If you have already changed you name to that of your husbands before applying for the visa, say your passport , then you just process your application in that name. They’d definitely ask for proof of marriage like your marriage certificate and other required documents but that is all there is really. After your application is submitted you’d be told what specific documents to present. That is when You can upload it personally if you opt for the self service by tls contact, or take it with you to your tls contact appointment if you paid for it to be uploaded by them

You’d just have to wait for their reply because proof of English Document is important. I’m sure they’d consider cause it’s not within your control.
As for the marriage certificate, ilI really do not know but could be an error I suppose so maybe your original birth certificate will suffice.

I don’t think there is a maximum, that’s not sth anyone can control. What they mostly look for is proof to show your relationship or marriage is genuine.

Did you pay to collect your passport at TLS?
Yes, I paid to keep my passport with me after my biometrics cause I needed it for an exam and when I was done I just took it to them. But you have to bring the passport with you to the biometrics cause they’d scan it before they give it to you so they ensure it’s the same passport you return.
But if you’re asking if you need to pay for the collection of your passport from tls for the visa then no( no payments needed). Your visa fee and ihs is all you need

With regards to application for ILR in Nigeria I do not really have any information about that. I know when my Husband did his ILR years back, he did it here in UK and he opted for a fast track one which cost thousands of pounds and it came when they said it will.
But fingers crossed they would let you know whatever the status of your application is , hopefully it’s within the stipulated time frame given.

@@cinandukwe2200 now I am a bit confused by your question. You initially said ILR and to my understanding that’s indefinite leave to remain in the Uk , that is you get it after 5 years of your stay in the Uk as a spouse.
But if you are referring to the spouse visa itself, then if you where given 24 weeks you have to wait till the time elapses. If not contacted by then, then please reach out to them. The visa can come out before the date given or after. There’s no set rule or assurance. Most visas are delaying currently cause of this Russian- Ukraine war. You can also keep an eye on you process tab on the tls app or website.

You BRP is your entry card to the Uk , as far as it is valid you can still enter the country.

5 years to get ILR I taught is 2 years for spousal visa
The spousal visa is about 2.3 years. You have to then renew it, which is another 2.3 years before you can apply for ILR.

As far as I know, there is no preference.
I for one got my marriage certificate from my local government registry in Ughelli, Delta state, although through my church who was registered/licensed to issue the marriage certificate.

No she does not have to. I actually applied without changing my passport name or status and I got the visa. You just need several documents like your wedding certificate for example to prove you marriage n relationship. You’re good to apply with her current passport

What about IELTS
You can use Ielt for your proof of English. There is one specifically for visa n immigration. You’d have to research which applies to your unique case.

The begum case was a case which went to tribunal and they won. This all happened because the sponsor changed jobs.

In regards to the begum case, this was something i read online which is a well known case when it comes to immigration. The sponsor however in this case went from employed to self employed. However, I'm just changing jobs.

It depends. And why I say that is that is if your church is licensed by the government to issue the federal type of certificate ( that is, same type you get if you were to go for a court wedding) then there is no need for a court wedding certificate. But if it’s some random wedding certificate printed by your church then please go for a court wedding certificate. Hope I answered your question?
