All these minutes are actual magic of the highest level: the time when he install his character as goofy and funny lower the the attention on cards, take it on him. The shuffle he made instead of the host, the little trick in the middle which is only helping to focus off the audience and host on what just happened with the deck shuffle, everyone is also focused on direct manipulation and don't consider he will "move things at a distance". Damn, seeing this just makes me learning so much it's crazy. Going after him on this show must have been really hard for the performer
It is funny to see all those magicians being "serious" these days (I love them though) while Juan Tamariz, acting like he's on cocaine doing weird stuff like that fastest card trick in the world, is considered without a doubt one of the greatest (if not the greatest) minds of magic of our era. Amazing Tamariz, love it.
Love him. He comes across like he's just escaped an institution and has absolutely no skill with handling cards at all. Its pure genius. I much prefer to ed marlo style, where its no secret he is incredible skilled with card. For me the real magic is in a guy who doesn't appear to do anything handles the cards so naturally if not clumsily. Yet stuff happens....that's magic
Tamariz was the funniest magician in Spain when I was a kid. Then, a lot follow his steps mixing humour and magic. I would say that Piedrahita is now the best card magician with humour
if your into structure and a theatrical setting for deception, the prediction is GENIUS! Super smart guy, he fools you with the moves you already know! GENIUS
Amazing! Only thing I can imagine here is that he has the deck that is in the case in a pre-arranged order he has memorized. And so when she says 7, he knows that is the ace of spades, and then he forces the ace of spades in his finger-over-cards selection. But what would have happened if she waited a while to say "stop"?? He spread them so wide he couldn't just force the ace of spades from anywhere his finger was, could he have? Maybe he would have found a way to still justify forcing the ace.... What an amazing trick. Him acting like such a lunatic really sells it too
Okay I will explain the shuffle So I guess 6 out faros bring the deck back into the order before the first faro so she faroed the deck 5 times and when he faroed for the 6th time on set and he pushed the cards together, it was back into order before the first faro which I presume is mnemonica because of 7 and Ace Of Spades
locke2517 that’s not a faro or anti faro. There are multiple cards clumped on each side. The key to this is that the top is preserved. Look closely, the first 10-15 cards are not shuffled. From there he just needs to get the girl to pick a low number.
Yes, but he did it long before the woman chose a number, so how did that card end up at that number? Perhaps he has the order of the enclosed deck memorized, but once she says a number how does he manage to get her to say "stop" at a place where he can plausibly pick out the card he knows he needs to "find"?
@@LorenzoGodioit's a timing force and he hovered his hand very high so he can adjust it slightly. This is the problem with many kids getting into magic today. They think it’s all moves and fooling the eye. Juan’s opener was pure genius for several reasons here’s a couple: 1. It broke the ice with the audience letting them know it’s about having fun (also served to relax their senses). 2. It was more entertaining on it’s own than most “fooler” tricks. Also notice how the intensity of tricks started low and built up to miracle level at the end. It’s less about staring at your hands in the mirror and more about creating an experience.
That's the wonderful part. The forcing had to be absolutely clean and open. If you read his books you can find out so many subtleties... He is as good as that
Just in case is not clear, when she chooses seven he knows the seventh card in the closed case is the ace of spades so he must force her to choose the ace of spades. He could have used any of the classical methods to force a card that never fail but he decided to take. the risk. That is what makes it so special. Actually you enjoy it more if you know how the trick works
@@Malsabidillo It's like he found a bimbo who would herself be most predictable. All he had to do to force a card was stick it in the middle of the spread (she really didn't have a choice to stay "stop" sooner). If she had delayed saying "stop", he'd have to move to plan B.
