You don't even have to meditate. Just catch yourself when your mind wanders into negative thoughts. Train your mind to shut that off and then replace it with your dreams and like he said feel the emotion of having the dream. I try to have chills so I know I've captured the moment. I do this at work or driving or at the gym when my mind wanders while doing repetitive tasks. Now my dreams have become my subconscious thoughts. That's what pops into my head when I'm bored and my mind wanders.
