Yes Carlos won, but what an amazing achievement for Struff who had the chance to win this match til the end. I mean he’s 14 years older than Carlos and gave him a good fight. Well played Struff
thanks for the spoiler bro
@@joelkorf7943just watch the video first?
@@joelkorf7943 You're mad that he's commenting about a video.. In the comments of a video
Alcaraz was embarassing, he played the last 3-4 games like he was Bublik's worst version. Struff is an awesome player, but a rational version of the spaniatd would have won in straight set
@@joelkorf7943 wow really? What you think people are talking about in the comments of a yt tennis video? cooking receips?
Big congrats to Struff for performing his best tennis of his life at the final stage of his career by using shots of world top 5 tennis players
yes, good shots ,but he needed to MOVE.
Also his match with Carlos at Wimbledon 2022 was amazing! Full of intense scences.
I thought he was a next-gen 😂
Congrats to the loser? He played well but I never thought for a second he will beat Carlos in Madrid
@@tounoni: Well you were very close to being very wrong.
Finally struff shows his potential! He is a great talent, nice to see him play on this level💯💪
Struff at 33 has had a new lease of life. He won his maiden ATP last month beating Fritz in the final and is continuing to play playing his best tennis. Great match that could have easily gone either way
Damn, Struff really put up a great fight!!
Hard not to pull for Struff in a battle like this. But Alcaraz just too smart, too complete.
Struff is a great tennis player. Hope he keep climbing the ranks.
Alcaraz has the most beautiful game of all. A pleasure to watch. His touch is unbelievable.
Must be frustrating facing him for the opponent. So unpredictable
@joycehost-kh8vx 9 out of 10 fans prefer Alcaraz’s style over Nadal’s style.
@@hitthurdeauxI'm a Djokovic fan and a Nadal fan but Alcaraz's style is exciting. The power he was along with the drop shots are deadly.
@@hitthurdeaux yes rafa boring moon balls
@joycehost-kh8vx he is 20 just turning 21 already 2 grand slams in the bag and quite a number of 1000 and 500 events. U say he won’t win any?
I've never felt both this scared and this relieved in such a short time
About millionaire with iq 70? Are you serious? Lol. World needs reset
and the laws of evolution will demand a balance of intelligence and strength amongst the population, what’s your point?
@@lilguy7842 They run the world while you sit in front of tv and stress yourself out, thats the point. At least do know it before watching it
It's a tennis match dude lol
Typical fanboy symptom?
I like the new Struff!
Yeah, the true German number 1 (f abuserev).
Me too.
Struff has to be minimum a top 10 player on clay, maybe top 5 even. Made the final here last year, might have made it again had he not had to face Alcaraz this early. Happy that he finally won his first singles title a few weeks ago
Top 10 for sure
I would add the caveat that Struff is really good on fast clay specifically. Madrid is his best tournament. He's never made it past a QF in Monte Carlo, a 3rd round in Rome, or the 4th round at RG which he made one time.
He's going to be dangerous at RG
Sadly he lose many points now. I think the 40th position something doesn't show his current level correctly
@@huntersnider9621 Yeah Madrid is high-altitude so helps big servers. See Isner's results in Madrid as an example.
what i love the most about Alcaraz is the he looks like he's having so much fun playing tennis, that's just beatiful to see.
He didn’t have as much fun going against Rublev today tho. The loss to him was shocking
Just a great mental match from Carlos. Realizing that trying to go power-vs-power at the baseline with the big German wasn't a winning proposition and breaking out the full bag of drop-shot tricks. Kind of reminds me of when he went on his run of beating Meddy.
Agreed. Struff moves really well for his size and it takes the highest class to outmaneuver him when he plays that good, but it can be done. Close thing nevertheless.
Just can’t cheer for that grunting fist pumping goon
Struff level was terrific. His win in Germany has lifted his entire game. Carlos was so composed. Great match and shot making.
The deftness of Alcaraz's touch is just a sight to behold... in a game packed with great qualities, that's gotta be among the special ones! Vamos! 🙂
Hats off to Struff, really nice effort. I like that dude's game a lot. Hopefully he uses this result as a springboard to great things.
Struff deserves more. Great player.
I think he’s deserved everything he got. He had an amazing run and fell to a player he was expected to lose to, Alcaraz. Still a phenomenal run from the power server
As a german....all want to say is....Struff made a great fight of that...wow...he would have beaten many other top players in that form....
Struff unlucky with the draw. With the way he is playing he would deserve to go deeper in the tournament, but meeting Alcaraz this early puts a stop in that.
Struff hits with massive power. Geez. He reminds me of prime Stan Wawrinka the year that Stan won the French. Sheesh.
Good take. But the most youngsters / idi*ts here dont know, what you are talking about. Struff plays like a man, Carlito like a kid. Take away these girlish drop shots from Carlito and he loses like hell.
It is so interesting to see Struff playing his attacking style, his powergame from the baseline, his volleys ..... especially against such a versatile player like Alcaraz .
A win is always a win , and in this way it's so thrilling. Carlos proved that he has the ability to win in every situation. Happy to see him win❤❤❤
Struff has the style of game that is difficult for Alcaraz in that he is also aggressive and a shot maker plus he has great serve and net game . Alcaraz MUST ALWAYS look to shut him down as soion as possible . He should have won this in two sets and also 6-3 in the 3rd . Great tennis match because of the tension but CARLOS has to remain focussed throughout the match even if he is winning .
Match of the tournament so far. A rollercoaster
@docter did u watch Shang and Moulet that was >
@@colethomas903 ah yeah forgot about that 😅
Carlos's style is so invitingly open to opponents; seducing them forward, hitting behind them, the whole court is used and thus opens up opponents minds. Veteran players like Struff actually benefit from needing to raise the wholeness of their game to really get a chance to beat Carlos...nowhere was this more evident than in Stuff's performance in this crazy awesome match. VAMOS CARLOS!
His name is Jan-Lennard..
What an intelligent and courageous performance by Alcaraz. Making Struff lose so many net points, and then raising the level in the final tiebreak. Absolute champion.
Sick Performance from Struff!!!!!! In every Moment positiv....saved 4 matchpoints at 0-40....very inspired!
Say what you want about Carlos, he has the passion, bottle and resiliance of Rafa in his prime. Like Rafa he never knows when he is beaten. Rafa should be proud that Carlos is the next Spanish sensation
Alcaraz has recently learned to “come back” and win the match. That is valuable.
What What What a amazing match for struff😮😮😮!!! Reallly Impressive , heart and mind .
STRUFF THE MAN deserved to win that match.
I didn't think Carlos would win this match so I have to say considering the result this is a match he would have lost 6 months ago.
He still has lapses of concentration but this is a worthy opponent on clay this was a tremendous win and I think this will boost his confidence. He's not at 100%, but it's going to be very hard to beat him here.
STRUFF's tennis is of very high quality. He will continue to rise in the rankings. But Carlos' mentality is amazing.
0:38 Goodness!!! Alcaraz looks like a tennis ballerina when he does this light as a feather drop shot move.
Sheer performance from Struff. Was close match and Alcaraz is showing to us why he’s among the best in the world. Vamos
¡Vamos chico!💪💪🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
It would have been nice to see more winning points for Struff in this highlight.
Struff playing out of his mind rn
STRUFF defeats currently everyone except Alcaraz and Sinner.
I am really loving this alcaraz calmness. He's playing safe. And using more drop shot.
Struff on clay is like a top 5 player. Wasn’t sure if Carlitos could get this one.
Struff in Madrid specifically is really good, on normal clay he is not as good.
@@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegetenhe won munich
@@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegetenI'm not sure bro, now he finally shows maybe 90% of his potential.
@@shantanusriram5496And has beaten top players like Rune and Fritz on his way to the title.
@@shantanusriram5496 I said he is not as good, not that he is bad on clay.
Madrid really helps him because it's fast with suits his serve volley playstyle and big strokes. On a slower clay court I think he will not be as close to Carlos as he was yesterday.
Awesome win but felt a bit bad for Struff, excellent effort and match by him as well.
At least Struff won his first ever title a couple weeks ago so there’s always that
I’ve never seen a player who seems so born to play tennis so perfectly before except perhaps Ash Barty
SMH. Alcaraz still has energy to yell the arena down at the end in victory. Great match.
Struff has been always a tough cookie for Carlos, since he beat him in Paris 3 years ago. Is a player with a fighting spirit, but Carlos is there until the last ball.
We love the playfulness of alcaraz, hè Needs to be like this or else hè would be just another robot. All the greats had this in there early years.
Feeling so terribly sorry for Struff... He is one of the best net players in the game, if not THE best.
Good the highlights make clear that Alacaraz won almost all the points. Judging by score, you could have assumed it was a tight match.
The injury to Alcaraz's right arm could have been a blessing in disguise for the future, forcing him to play without relying on his massive forehand.
What kind of bs is this
Struff serve n volley 💀💀💀
Struff feels young. He has a young face anyway 😊
Asi se hace Carlitos, con garra, vamos.. 💪
Too pitty Struff got some very bad choices at the net and lost many balls by sending them on a diagonal, exactly where Alcaraz was. Sometimes one too many points lost to bad decisions will make the difference between going ahead or going home. Good match for Alcaraz.
Qué grande eres Alcaraz Carlitos a ganar la final!!!!!!! Por qué sé que llegarás
Struff, the best non-top10 player by far! 💪
What a match! what a fight by Struff. Both the top seeds got tested today but Alcaraz was on the brink of losing. I think it will be a sinner alcaraz final yet again.
What a fukinnn match....Alcaraz u beauty...tennis is so much to look for after this guys entry into the sport
Some killer points from Struff, too bad that the Madrid crowd didn't have the decency to applaud his amazing shots and especially volleys.
Yes the madrid crowd is litterally silent to non spanish players performances when they play a spanish player. poor crowd
Yeah, really shitty!
Man I'm a huge Alcaraz fan but Struff is playing some ridiculous tennis on clay wtfff
The speed of MIND Versus Body and strategy to win; 100 percent of these points is at such a high level. I mean these guys have both just accomplished beyond amazing in pure sport.
0:30 - Kyrgios vibe
That was a 174 kmh shot X)
Aunque struff es in gran jugador de tierra, carlos demostró por que es uno de los mejores del mundo y eso que no está en su 100%, por que si no le hubiese ganadoen 2 set.
Luv Carlos.
Struff played with high level. Alcaraz won but if the german continues playing like this, he will take titles. Congrats to both players.
PHENOMENAL FROM ALCARAZ, HE IS FINALLY GETTING THE MINIMUM MOTIVATION ANY TENNIS PLAYER SHOULD HAVE (WITH THE WAY HE SCREAMS)
Wanker
I LIKE THAT YOU ARE SCREAMING TOO
What a match !!!!! Congrats to d bois
Struff is in good shape recently, he can be ranking higher if he continues playing like this.
Struffi my goat
Outstanding performance of both player, great match! Struff fought till the end🎾
So thrilling. I was a menace at work. 🤣 congrats Carlos!
Great great tennis from both.
I would have loved to have seen the entire match, it‘s fantastic to see Struffi to always know when to go to the net, so unlike most players now (e.g. also Zverev) who stay glued to the baseline even though they could in 90% of the rallies just kill the point if they were just a little bit more Becker/Sampras-oldskool style. I sincerely hope this playing style has a comeback somewhen and saves us from the boring baseline hammering that is so ubiquitous nowadays.
Carlos lost his lead in the third set but I will say this is a player that gives him trouble and once somebody knows that you're not afraid of them they don't fear you and this is someone who does not fear Carlos at all.
Even though he's not at 100% this is a match you probably would have lost 6 months ago so I think it's a great result.
I really wanted Struff to win this one. 👏
All the comments making it sound like Struff is some old man playing his last year before retirement. Dude is literally in his prime age.
He plays his best tennis ever, but he is not in his prime for tennis. He may be stronger now but agility eecovery rate and explosivness in a man are not at peak at 34...just strenght
@@user-iy8tp7vw3xTruth 👍🏻
i would say that prime age and prime time could not be the same.
he is playing the best he has ever played, so it's his time now.
@@benediktsulzenbacher8031 But prime age and prime time are not the same start reading correctly
What a match!
Struff plays on a top 10 level at the moment!
Struff is playing great at the moment. He will be a danger for anyone in the FO .
it's a shame that struff's gonna drop back down to world number 40 but if he can stay healthy and in this kind of form, he'll easily claw back into the top 30
Yes, easily. And he only has a little over 400 points to defend for the rest of the year. He was injured for a longer period of time last year.
Need to see more of the contentious points and Stuff’s multiple comebacks
what a match! fantastic!
Alcaraz celebrating every point as if he's won a Slam is seriously so annoying!!
Struff played absolutely amazing. The fact that he took a set from Alcaraz is outstanding!
Amazing game
Struffi played great. close to a win.
Phenomenal match. Credit to both !!! Tennis entertainment at its best and NO screams like so many women that kill the game unless sound turned off. !!!
Bit disapponting that Struff didn't win it, although he had some serious winning chances after the first set!😢 Quite a scare, but Carlitos made it through at last! 🎉💪🇪🇦
Close match, Alvarez's lucky to get out of that one, Stuff has been playing unbelievable recently
How many drop shots do u wanna play in 1 match? Alcaraz: Yesss!
Enorme Carlitos!
Carlitos haighlight is always a win even from early rounds.
Qué maravilla
Must have been a fun match to watch live!
Struff has lot stuff. Great
French Open favourite carlos alcaraz definitely
Mark my words: casper ruud
@jugl3ist the guy that lost to Felix
Sinner
Djokovic and Nadal first favorites to win RG. Tsitsipas might go deep to...
@@user-iy8tp7vw3x Alcaraz and sinner are raising the standards
Amazing by both :)
Alc second serve and backhand has improved. Will win french oprn this yr
Alcaraz is amazing to watch sometimes, but he is not untouchable by any means. Which is good for tennis, and good for us watching.
Carlos wins 3 down 3 to go for Madrid open history
Up next is Rublev tomorrow let’s get to the semis Carlos !!
Damn looks like Jan Learned his Struff😅that was a great match from both of them, hope he never has to play Alcaraz again😬 him and Jarry always scare me when they play Alcaraz
Struff is a giant. He started so. late in his career to play so good 😄
Ugg I have such Alcatraz fatigue
