Reverend Al Sharpton spoke at Homerton College on Tuesday 7 February 2023 to a full audience of students and academics from across Cambridge. He urged his audience to find their Purpose, and reflected on his decades of activism and campaigning.
Reverend Sharpton is among the preeminent US civil rights leaders. He was the founder in 1991, and currently serves as the President of, the National Action Network (NAN), anchors Politics Nation on MSNBC, and hosts the radio shows syndicated across the USA. Rooted in the spirit and tradition of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., NAN boasts more than 100 chapters across the United States.
