Thank you Dave for these anazing little tutorials! I've been a long time fan of your works both in VR and TV placements. I was always attracted to this type of musicians that are completed professionals that just make their job as good as possible and i trying to be like this my self and you are a big inspiration for me since i was 14 (32 now). Greetings from Ukraine!
Contraband was released in just the right time! Me and my friends had just discovered hard rock when we were kids. And fell in love with GN’R instantly. But sadly realized GN’R were no more. Then out of the blue Velvet Revolver pops up with this other but super cool guy! Dave!
Thanks Dave! Love VR so much. Such an awesome time. Btw, that story Burr told about you setting him up to play drums with Slash and Duff is such a crack up LOL
Another cool one Dave. Really enjoying these. Forgot to mention on one of the other ones I commented on that my brother and I shook your hands (the whole band in fact) at a contraband record signing in London. Still have the signed cd!
I remember this song in Cardiff in ‘05. I was crushed against the barrier and it was the loudest thing I’d ever heard. I got lifted over the barrier and went for a JD n’ Coke at the bar. I don’t like JD but Slash, y’know? You played You Got No Right next and I was at the back of the arena catching my breath. I got back to my friends and they were like “Slash played the solo with the guitar up on his leg and his willy came out!” I’m fine with not seeing that but they thought it was funny as fuck. 😂
Dave, I wonder if when you took the band photo on "Reagan's In" that you were going to be in a band with the guys on your "Appetite for Destruction" T-shirt!!! I loved your bass lines on that album you make good punk even better!!! Now i go back and listen to you holding it down with Duff and Matt on the 2 VR albums. I'd say you are the epitome of what a REAL RHYTHM GUITAR PLAYER should be. What're yyou doing now?
He compuesto muchas canciones para cine y televisión. Empecé con Sons of Anarchy y más recientemente con F is for Family. Pronto daré una clase magistral de guitarra y otra de composición.
It’s a bummer but I know from my experience was they began to not totally pay attention to what the artists wanted. That’s why I left eventually. The quality was suffering somewhat and I didn’t feel good putting my name on something I didn’t play (the blue models, not the green)

Dave major respect. Got to be hard to be “the other guy” when VR was described as GnR and STP members. I always enjoyed your playing!
Appreciate it! I was always super grateful to be in that situation (most of the time!😅)
Massively Underated guitarist!!
Right?!
Great riff
Awesome
As a huge VR fan I really enjoy your channel Dave. Thanks a lot!
My pleasure!
Love the Channel!!!! Thanks Dave!!!! Keep It Come'in!!
❤
you are my influence! you are the best!
Wow, thanks!
I’ve been composing for tv and film ever since the band ended. It started with Sons of Anarchy (I wrote the theme song) and went on from there.
Dave, porque "come in, come on" não foi não tocafa ao vivo? Nem mesmo o slash utilizou em seu trabalho solo. Sinceramente, é uma das minhas favoritas

Whats your thought on the foreclosure of Fernadez guitars, dave?

Understandable, but still pretty unfortunate to have such a long lasting brand vanish.
