Also, I am amazed you didn’t spill any of that coffee the way you were throwing it around 😂
Convinced that he minored in Jedi mind tricks
Lol I'm going with Jedi mind tricks, definitely didn't spill it all over myself and have to edit that out!
That gave me anxiety
he probably drank a bit of it XD hope it wasn't cold by the end
I love how you organized this one - super easy to follow along with all the examples, and the "bigger picture" time scale is something that I don't think any other youtube video has touched on yet. Some projects take years to implement!
Thanks man! I'm glad it was easy to follow, there's always so much that can happen on any given day so it's difficult to explain
Yesss this is the kinda day in the life I’ve been wanting!! Thanks!
So great to find another day in the life video. ChemEs should definitely do more of these.
Amazing insights! As someone who was working in operations but is now going into a process engineering role, it’s really cool to learn the slight difference and focus areas between ops and engineering! Well done on the amazing content!!
i cannot express how thankful i am for this content! thanks!
This video got me pumped to become a Process Engineer one day, thank you for the motivation to work hard during my Chemical Engineering degree!
Same bro, here’s to good exam scores 🍻
Love the coffee intro , graphics, Excellent editing. 👍
This is exactly what I was looking for!
You have been pumping out tons of quality content, and I just wanted to thank you for that! As someone who is going to be studying chemical engineering, I'm glad to see that there are some UA-camrs who talk about it more and more.
Thanks! Glad it's helpful. Yeah I remember looking up chemical engineering on youtube when I was in school and there was hardly anything on here back then. Happy to see the community is growing!
Wow bro, your video is super helpful. Literally you resolve all my doubts.
Thank you
Such an informative video! I've been planning on going into chemical engineering but was never really sure if I'd actually enjoy what they do because I was never really sure _what_ they did... thanks to this video, I have a much better idea of what chemical engineering looks like and whether or not I'd like it.
really nice work! thankss bro
Great content as usual, thanks for all the effort! Maybe you could make a video on some tools you consider useful as a ChemE student or even professional.
Thank You for inspiring me to follow this career
Nice cat cameo around 5:05! I appreciated your approach and explanation for the day in the life prompt. Thanks for another informative chemical engineering video! Keep em coming please!
The editing was real impressive also!
Thanks man! Yeah the cats always think I'm talking to them when I make these videos
It would be great if you explain all of these practically through an industrial visit
Quality content.
Really nice content, keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Thank you this video helped me alot.
I'm a 3rd year chemical engineering here in the Philippines. Thank you for this informative video sir!
Another informative video Eggs!
Bro! that cup of coffee was driving me crazy! ahah
Haha yeah good thing I wasn't wearing white...
You explained my job perfectly, best I’ve heard! Process Engineer out of San Francisco!
Haha awesome. Thank you! All the best.
Thank you for your videos. I'm a chemical engineer, but I'm not in industry right now. I'm doing my master's, but this type of video makes me think about to work in industry. 🇧🇷
Hello mam 👋😄how is ur study going? Or you doing any job?
I'm at my final year and i will graduate after 2 month so according to ur experienced what u think doing job is better after degree Or doing master is better after degree?
If we talk about job then which one is better like production or process or RND?
Please reply me if you see my comment ☺
Very nice UA-cam channel Eggs. Keep sharing 😄
wow it's nice video .I have one thought that should you make another videos for alternative engineers
That coffee shaking in your hands while you're talking gave me anxiety hahaha
I want to be a process engineer too! And more know that i have listened to you. I hope that i find the job
Congrats for one more awesome video about the beauty of Chemical Engineering. It's a quite comprehensive explanation of the Process Engineer role and provides a great overview of the position. Well done!
I have worked many years in Production and Process positions and Process Engineering is where my heart belongs. I also see similarities as Sherlock Homes... hahaha!! Besides the long term approach, I missed essential aspects that really differentiate the Process Engineer from the Production/Operations Engineer such as optimization and process simulation. The ability to perform process simulations is key for any skilled Process Engineer, I often used commercial simulators - I would say at least every week.
Yeah process engineering is a lot of fun! I think that the process modeling, simulations, and calculations are easily the best part of the job.
I'm currently a sophomore in high school and I'll be graduating next year as a junior. I'm hoping to major in chemical engineering in college and I appreciate how informative this video was. Chemical engineering sounds like a solid path for me and I brace myself for the hard work to come in college.
Its definitely hard in workload and it can be intense conceptually. depending on the industry, u wont use everything u learn in college except u need to have a good understanding of transport phenomenon, PFDs, P&IDs, cost analysis, and excel. This major is predominantly all about pipes and reactors at the end of the day😅
@dozizi what are pfds and p&ids ?
@@foundthetime process flow diagrams, process & instrumention diagrams.
If you are interested in any type of engineering career you should probably know how to at least google things...
If you really like it then go for it. If you're in it for the money i say to cs/it stuff. Either way, you must be good at maths.
Another day, another insightful video from Eggs! I definitely got the coffee part of the job down
It's a requirement for all chemical engineers! My whole career has been an experiment to see how many cups of coffee/ day I can build immunity to. You know it's a problem when you consider switching to caffeine pills..!
@@EggsEngineering 😂😂😂
I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. The quality of the content has been great and relatable, especially for chemical engineering students/professionals. Keep it up! I'm sure a lot of people will benefit from this. 🙌🏻
Thanks for this comment! I try to make these as helpful as possible so I'm glad to hear it's translating well
14 mins of anxiety looking at that coffee cup. Had to rewatch twice cause half the time I'm too focused on the coffee. Nice video btw, thanks.
Thank you for your videos! I appreciate your information. I have a couple of questions, please. What master programs do you suggest taking in the US to specialize in Process Engineer? What courses should these masters have to pursue a Process Engineer path? My questions are because there are many master programs with different names and courses. Thank you again for your support.
He seems to be describing a support role. I was under impressions with chemical engineering degree, I could start as operation supervisor at an oil/gas refinery and work my way up to Site Manager of the refinery…or are those roles reserved more for business majors?
Buen video saludos desde Argentinaa
I'm a chemical engineer. We are the best engineering field out there! #CHE Brothers
How much is salary range?
Hey man, really like your channel. Btw, a question for you, is there any jobs for chem eng graduates who love fast paced environment and hates typical mundane 9 to 5 job ?
Process engineering is probably the best bet if you want some more excitement out of your job!
I am currently a masters student in chemical engineering. I have to apply for a graduate job. But I wonder if the job isn’t boring. Like revising every day the same process
I’m 21 and looking to get back into college. I’ve looked into my options and being a chemical engineer interests me a lot. I’ve done some research and I’ve seen you need a chemical engineer major to get into this, but I’ve also seen you only need a chemistry degree to become one. Which is it?
Chemical engineering is waaaaaay different from chemistry
Just joined chem E for bachelors, want to do research in this field hope i can make some door for me .
Hey
Is there any books do you recommend us to read to learn things about being creative solving problems
Thanks
For creative problem solving, I highly recommend this once book called "Inside the Box".
How difficult is it to make the switch from chemistry to chemE? I'm in my junior year as a chem major and I plan on applying to master's programs in chemE
You probably shouldn't do this. You should be lacking all of the engineering parts of the bachelor like machine building, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, mechanical process engineering.
Hi eggs. How hard would you say it is getting a job as a chemical engineer when you're fresh out of college under normal circumstances (no covid)?
It really depends on a lot of different things, I'd say that if you can lock down an internship they finding a job is not that hard.
did you take you professional exams already?
Please help me. I'm planning on studying Chemical Engineering, but to be honest I don't like chemistry; I mean, I think it's pretty interesting but I don't love it. I do love math and physics and the idea of working with something that has to do with industrial process (designing things like phones is not my shit). That's why after searching I decided to study ChemicalE. What should I do?
Have you considered industrial engineering? From what I understand they cover a lot of areas; mechanical, electrical, software, and most likely some chemical engineering, but not full on chemistry.
What is salary?
The coffee🤪🤪🤪
Finally something that is not software eng soo sick of them, nice content.
Haha me too! 😝
There are many lecture videos about chemistry/chemical engineering majors on my UA-cam channel. I hope it helps you a lot in studying.
Sooo...no lamborghini?
Which country you are from??
USA :)
Starting a day with the FANCY coffee... that's it I'm out lol
