    I've made this so many times! It's much more fun making ice cream at home :). Instead of matcha I switch it out for other things like cinnamon or mint. ;D

    • @xTwitterpated
      @xTwitterpated 9 років тому +1

      +HatashiLuvsU I think he always has a kitchen scale placed under the blender/bowl. At least, I've seen what looks like a kitchen scale under the blender in many of his videos. You can see it in this video too at 1:06 :)

    • @HatashiLuvsU
      @HatashiLuvsU 9 років тому

      Yeah! I've noticed that in some of his other videos but it's still really cool to watch him toss ingredients in haphazardly and pour stuff really quick without having to take the time and pour it into a measuring cup :)

    Ahhh, I am so happy that I found this channel! Your desserts look amazing and I love that they use healthier and natural ingredients. Too much gluten and refined sugars from normal store bought sweets gives me headaches. Although, I am not a vegan, I try very hard to eat healthy. I have already made your avocado-chocolate tart for a clean cheat treat (which was great, btw, my mom and I both liked it.) Also your videos are so relaxing and very clear its directions....only I don't have a scale, so I convert the measurements and hope for the best ^.^.

    Because of the low fat milk used (e.g. soy milk, cashews) and the absence of cream and eggs, the end result was ice cream that was not smooth and rich enough. Look at how he scraped the ice cream after it was frozen. His recipe still looks reasonable for a vegan version though.

    Ryora, awesome video. Thank you for all the recipes. I just switched to a plant-based diet recently and definitely in need of new ideas :). By the way, can I use something else instead of cashew nut (or any sort of nut at all?). Cashew and almond are ridiculously expensive here and I'm thinking of venturing with butter beans, or tofu or something...

    • @peacefulcuisine
      @peacefulcuisine  9 років тому +6

      Kim Dang If you don't mind to use processed oil, just replace cashew nuts with any kind of less flavor oil:) You can use butter beans or tofu but they have less fat than nuts or oil. try recipe below if you like.
      oil 100g
      tofu 400g
      soy milk 300g
      sweetener 200g
      maccha powder 1 - 2 tbls
      and you don't need to heat this up. just blend and put it into ice cream maker:)

    • @peacefulcuisine
      @peacefulcuisine  10 років тому +2

      vanillahugz There isn't a huge difference between coconut oil and coconut water. I need to put fatty ingredients to make ice cream more delicious, so I choose coconut oil. Why I use starch is to make mixture thicker. that helps to prevent ice cream from melting quickly. and...Thank you for subscribing;)

    Just curious, have you try using frozen banana as a substitution to make ice cream? I think one of the only issue with banana is that it would brown after a period of time, but I think it would be interesting if you try it. :)

      BlueCarnation I often make banana ice cream especially in summer. cut frozen bananas into pieces and put them into a blender container and add milk and other ingredients to add flavor then blend. quick yummy ice cream;) but the mixture is so sticky that I actually ruined one of my vitamix container though. lol
