If anyone is passing through the Boise Idaho area, stop by the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa. It's smaller compared to the other museums on this list, but is always growing. Some very nice planes and jets on display, and the display cases show not just artifacts, but tell the personal stories of the soldiers and sailors who fought for freedom. Very well done and definitely worth a visit!
All excellent museums but there are many more that need to be added. 2 that come to mind are Patriots Point in Charleston, SC. (USS Yorktown, Laffey, and Clamagore) and the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL. Also, though it is not a museum, the D-day Reenactment in Conneaut, Oh is very impressive. It brings together the most WWII artifacts I have ever seen in one place. It is also the only place I know that will let you ride in a higgins boat and amtrack. Everything is used and brings history alive unlike any museum. Just a shout out, you have to make it there before you die!

+lindzr16 100% agree. That museum was amazing 4-5 years ago-easily the best I've seen. It's even gotten better. It's the one "must see" on the list. Also there is a great museum of the Pacific Theater in the Hill Country of Texas. Brad, it's time to update this. Battleship cove shouldn't even be on this list and I am from Massachusetts. Oh and ps-Oregon. That's an insult to those that fought and died from Oregon. Fix it.
I've been to four of these and you forgot one of the best. In Fredericksburg,TX, the PacificWar National museum. And at 3:29 where the hell is Organ? Do you mean Oregon? i gotta look that one up. Just how many have you been too?
The Aberdeen Maryland tank museum is closed and the collection in storage awaiting funding for a new museum in Virginia. The US Marine Museum in Quantico Virginia should be on this list.

Iv been to the one In Dayton Oh several and it keeps getting better and better. Hope to visit later this year in October.
