I'm 35 and it only last year things turned around for me. I do believe it all in the mind and how you view life. Stop looking around for someone to save you or get you out of the rut. Take ownership for the choices you made and move forward.
100%!
That is inspiring, thanks :)
I’m 29 and not in a good place. Like I tumbled backwards and I’m the opposite of what I thought I’d be. But now I’m seeing it as a do-over. I have a lot of experience and now I can start over with all this experience. Btw, I’m still looking for work I love. I’ve been working my ass off to figure it out since I was 21. I won’t give up.
You have sooooooo much time. But don't even waste 1 day.
Keep going!
💪💪💪
I belive in you!
I'm in the exact same situation. I thought I've lost the past decade and I realised that because of it know I know who I truly am and what I want from life, so now I can start living and building it. I would have like to know it a decade sooner though, but it was just not possible without this experience.
I'm 21, soon to be 22. I wish i knew before i was 20, that acting self-destructively and abusing drugs, does not bring you true friends. Those party friends are only there 'till you are willing to behaive insane, when you choose to act right and build yourself up, NONE of them will be there for you.
Victor 96
The last line is true to me as well.
When you change, everything in your life follows, you'll lose old friends but you'll also meet new people who'll match you and what you're all about! Cheers✌✨😸
Victor 96 so fking true
So damn TRUE
Most age-related fears come from comparing ourselves with others or what we think we 'should' be, have or do. Don't waste time and energy on this stuff, just focus on what *you* want and walk at your own pace! Cheers~ ✨✨✌
Yes!
So true your life Isn't over by 30. My neighbor just turned 95 today. She's Turned 30 over 3 times.
Wow
28 year old here, I pursued my dream to become a yoga teacher from age 22-25 but got inflammatory bowel disease and had to stop. Now I work as an accounts assistant and hate the work itself, but the pay is nice. After I got my stress under control, the IBD stopped and I'm getting back to yoga teacher training. I hope to teach for the rest of my life after I qualify, and to use my accounting background to my advantage in terms of running a yoga studio (i.e. small business). I'm not even sure if I'm willing to make the sacrifices necessary though. I've trained before, I know what it takes, I love it... but it's SO physically demanding! And doesn't pay much. I think given I have to spend the rest of my life doing it though, because I love it, it will be worth it!
There's always a way to do what you love and make money
You can do it!
Great video - love this! I‘m 32 and my twenties were such a hard time, nearly everything was going wrong. When I was 29 I began to change my life. Now I am much fitter and happier than ever before. Greetings from Austria! Tina
Yessss
The funny ultimate realization is though, among many I've made, the gap between 29 and 30 is arbitrary to an extremely benign extent. It's all perception. We can figure our lives out at 32, 28, 25, it makes a little difference besides wasted time, failure is normal and acceptable, and by worrying it just makes it worse.
20s can be the best time of your life, when you’re following the advise: trying to be a better person each DAY, so that each year you can get closer to what you want out of life, planning your day ahead and being reliable to yourself just like you are to others. it all starts to make more sense once you realize your biggest value is your time. and what better time than when you’re in your 20s with not too many commitments, the highest energy levels and with curiosity in your mind.
I’m 24 and I’m sad some of my friends don’t realize this.
I'm 23 now, what I wish I would have known by 20 is how much value books can contain.. alongside meditation :)
This was great!!.. I'm 33 and my life has gotten better since last year.. I'm not yet financially free but I have grown exponentially in my mindset .. after I got out of college I felt like my life was spiraling downwards because it was "not fun" anymore.. and I didn't even had that much fun in college(I think it was all placebo effect).. but I've come to realize that I'm happier now specially because of the confidence and security I feel in me which I didn't have in my 20s...I read a lot and watch UA-cam channels like yours and it has all made drastic changes in my lifestyle .. thank you
Hey fellows, I'm 24 now, and I wish I knew that I deserve to be respected and loved, so I wouldn't have suffered from rejection when I was a teenager, or even I wouldn't have tried to adapt myself in order to please other people. Only this year I'm learning with my own mistakes and figuring out how to get out of this emotional hell... And this UA-cam channel has helped me a lot, because now I'm aware of the signals of depression, and I also know how to deal with my questions, and problems without being so anxious and stubborn.
I turned 30 last year and was initially really depressed about it and then realises exactly what you're saying and this is so true. Also I love your channel because it's helped me be in track to lose so much weight and keep my habit of working out everyday and eat well, so thank you! xx
I’m 22 and the biggest lesson I wish I knew (and I am still trying to do) is to understand yourself. Obviously I’d like to say “to believe in yourself” or “to be confident in your choices”, but to be honest, I struggle with that. But I think making time to truly know yourself inside and out (listening to your intuition 😏) is what leads to that conviction. And when you have that, well, I think you’d make one unstoppable human being.
I just turned 26 and of course started thinking of all of the things that I have yet to accomplish. So happy I watched this because it was a good reminder that I should stop putting an expiration date on my goals and rushing certain areas of my life just to keep up with my friends. Thanks for sharing this!
Alexander, among many channels that i follow, of applied psychology, philosophy, personal growth and motivation, you are my absolute favorite. I can't thank you enough for the time and dedication that you put into building well structed thoughts and sharing with us your visions, i trully trully am greatful that i found your channel, thanks.
Victor 96 he's so inspiring!
Thank you Victor, I really appreciate that
Thank you so much for this! I am 27 and have been having a bit of a life crisis for the last couple of weeks, and this really helped me, so thank you! I just found your channel and love the content!
I’m 37 I’m much happier now than in my 20’s even early 30’s. I’m only now studying for a job that I actually want to do because I’ve only discovered what I want to do now. Bring in my forties!!!!
Lisa Bailey congratulations! 🤗
More than 40 here - I am continually discovering more things about who I am. Your words are good ... wish I had heard something like this when I was younger! But what I have found - don’t ever stop learning & seeking; the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know .... and, remember to always be where your feet are. I will also add, that much good can come when your plans don’t work out, when life derails. I have found that people I most admire are ones that have come thru great storms and know what it is to struggle.
Love this
Things are so different than when I went to college. One of the main things we went to college for was our MRS. degree. ( Most married by 22, first child be 24 , 2nd child by 26) It was a big thing to make sure to have kids before you are 30. When I went to college in the eighties, it was assumed everyone would get married and have kids right after. It is great people from this generation do not feel as much pressure to do that.
We're not necessarily expected to get married and have kids, but we're still expected to get a steady job by 22, a 6-figure salary by 24, a house and a car by 26. Some of us still get pressure from our parents to have kids by 30 as well and this is mostly why most of us burn out in our 20s, feel like a huge disappointment to the world or are just plain lost with our lives. Things change but remain the same.
Yes, I think you are right. Your pressures are so different. Also, when I went to college, it cost so much less. I graduated from University of WI, and It cost around $5000 a year. They also did not place such a big deal on the SAT and ACT.I have a daughter who is 20 and she is changing what she wants to do. I told her to take her time. I am thrilled we have such a great relationship.
I’m 31 going on 32 next month. My last three years have been a struggle do to health issues. I’ve learned so much and continuing to learn. I really appreciate this video and perspective. Very uplifting and a great reminder.
Thank you so much! I understand and could feel everything you say! Have a good day Alex!
Thank you, Alexander. I'm 17 and I started watching your videos this summer. You're my favorite UA-camr because you're candid, uplifting, and wise. I just wanted to let you know that you've added a lot of value to my life. Once again, thank you.
Thank you Weston! Glad it helped
Thanks a lot for this!! I really needed something like this, I identify so much with you. 🙏🏽 Best regards from Colombia! 🇨🇴
I always appreciate the advice of someone older than me. Thank you for this. I believe I'm on the right track, and am taking advantage of this time of my life.
Thanks Immanuel, hope it helps
Yes you seem to be on the right track. I think your video thumbnails are good enough.
Kenji Gunawan right on:]
Thanks for the great content.i watch your videos to start my day after meditating and doing affirmations. ⭐
66 here and I promise you that none of us ever stop growing. Life is to be lived and not wasted. Wish I knew this when I was your age. I would have made different choices.
Yes!
@@ModernHealthMonk just turned 30 and I thought my life is over. Literally, I mean I didn't slack off I saved but had a feeling that I could have done better. After seeing the video I can see it now why it happened, gave me good insights. Thanks dude 👍👍
I'm 20 and I am grateful that i found your channel at this age. Listening from your advices and the advices from the comments section inspires me to work on my short and long term goals. Gaining wisdom from older people who actually experienced a lot of things than i do. Made me wiser in making my decisions in life. Hope to see more of your content Sir! Mad love from the Philippines! ❤️🙏
Thank you🙏 Thank you🙏 Thank you🙏. I needed this so much. I was so afraid of getting older. Again. *THANK YOU* From the bottom of my💜
:-)
Always supporting you to keep making videos. (love from India)
Thank you Teesha :-)
Wow, great timing. I'm an unemployed 22-year-old who today probably dropped out of writing the dissertation for my masters degree. I've been feeling like a failure for not having much figured out so far, and worried for the future, but this video made me want to work harder than ever at finding my way in life. Hopefully it'll work, as long as I work. Thank you as always, Alex.
You got it
If you are already in the process of getting a posgraduate degree you are not a failure. I know people way way older than you who can't even get their bachelor's degree.
I'm 21 and in my last year at Uni, and I really needed this! GREAT video!
I'm 21 and I am privileged to hear this from you.
26 here. Things have been getting better since 24 in regards to mental health. Now focusing on figuring out work I love...then love love. 😊💖
Thank you! hugs
Love it!
Thank you for sharing! Needed to hear this!
I love your honesty. It's also really nice to hear that youth isn't actually as incomparably valuable as society makes it out to be.
I keep it real :D
Hmm, some would say..
"It's all about perspective. You can call it , 'a rut' or you can see it as 'a groove' , and find that forward momentum.
... or something, like that.
Loving the content, btw.
At 43, disabled, and recovering... I am thrilled to find your content, with youthful enthusiasm.
Having lost 17yrs to a chronic illness decline, sometimes the younger guru resonates more with me.
Bravo, keep it coming. Thanks.
The best advice that I would tell myself (before 20s): Live, feel and be in the present moment.. And maybe a few stoic points of view..
Btw, great video Alez, congrats for the great job, you've been helping me a lot through my journey of self development
Thank you Luis
Just the video and words I needed. I'm 32 and this year has been the shittiest ever. It can only get better next year.
Thank you for the video.
i love your videos monk...they keep me excited about life and help me out a lot...i hope to buy your book one day... i believe they will help me become a better person one day 🙂
Glad it's helped :-)
I agree with a lot of things you said. Subscribed and liked this video.
"life will get better every year if you get better." thank you 🙏🏿
24 here. I graduated university a year ago from a major I thought I would like when I was 16, wrong. I'm considering changing path and starting from scratch but this time I'm a bit more mature and wise.
I'm looking forward to studying a major related to things I do like, that are useful and that give me the possibility to start my own business at some point. I've been trying to figure this out since I was 18, now it looks like the time to grow more has come. Thanks for the video, really helpful
I just turned 20, and My life is a mess, don't know where to go or what to do... but I hope everything gets clearer as I get older, thank you for this amazing vids.
You can literally have your dream life in only 5 years - by 25 - and then live another 70 years happy.
Invest. Invest. Invest. By 30 you can be financially free. I wish I knew about the stock market investing in ecommerce websites like Amazon and gaining equity from owning real estate sooner
I just turned 28 and feel like my life is a mess. Thank you so much for this wisdom, I can always make things (myself) better. And I do feel I am a better person than I was last year.
You got it
I'm 26 with Asperger's struggling to juggle understanding health insurance and what I have missed growing up. But this helped a good bit. I've been living with the expectation that if it's not the way my parents taught me (with the things they have) it's wrong and things that society dictates to be what you have to do is how it has to be done. But today I break that mirror. No longer will I be bound by the thought of everything I try or do is wrong. I am able to be happy I'm able to have meaningful relationships romantic and platonic.
THANK YOU YOURE TEACHING ME SO MUCH!
"If you don't like it, don't give up" Thanks dude, that's really get me
Hi, your explanation is worth full and good analysis on real life which will be use full to those who think after 30 their life is end.
I'm almost 33 years old and it took me all my twenties to discover why I was getting always wrong men and awful relationships. Now I am with a wonderful man, but the relationship works because I'm starting to love myself more than anyone on the earth.
It took me all my twenties to undestand what I want to do to earn money, and magically it has been 3 years that I'm doing a job I Iike but I'm under a boss. I want to make it by my own, but it takes time to figure it out. I will do it.
Everything more clear from my early thirties.. is it just a case? I don't think so. You need experience to understand what you need. It's a growing process. Each year is getting better and better because I started being less though with myself, I accept more my mistakes. Am I perfect? Am I all I want to be? Do I know completely who I want to be? No, none of that, but I'm still asking everyday. I'm becoming the best version of me every single day.
Wisdom here
ModernHealthMonk you're a part of that wisdom. Thank you. Greetings from Italy.
Yound adults feel so much pressure because if you don't follow the norms of having a good job, kids, wife, or marriage then your life is considered a failure. People don't realize that you don't have to follow this path and it doesn't automatically happen either.
I agree
Thank you for your work, I wan to give you a hug
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and for the amazing videos, really, it helped me a lot, now I'm changing my life in the direction I want to. Thank you Alex
:-)
Loveee thisss ❤️ thanks a lot!!
Welcome :-)
I'm 22 and for me, as long as I'm following my calendar, tracking my habits, achieving weekly and monthly goals etc I know that I'm "living the dream" because we all set a future vision for ourselves, eagerly wanting to get there and finally feel "successful" but in reality true success lies in the day to day journey. The moment you create a map and start following it, you already start living the dream, the life on your terms regardless of how painful life is right now. So basically what I'm trying to say is that the moment I get "order" in my life, is the moment I truly feel I'm living the best life ever, I don't care about what life should be in my 30s or 40s, I just wanna do cool stuff, set yearly-monthly goals, solve problems in my life and smell the roses while I'm on my journey living the best life ever (life on my terms) :)
I am 22 and am about to graduate college. I am genuinely at a happy place in my life right now. Even though I am still confused about what next, I know I have lived my life to the fullest and lived every opportunity. I wish I weren't as anxious about my future and every little decisions during the last decade. I have realized that as long as you are doing what you love and focussing on being a better person, everything will eventually work out fine.
I'm 16 and i find a lot of value in many of your videos, they helped me a lot in past 2 weeks. My biggest obstacle to overcome is a habit of procrastination i developed in my life. I'm an introvert, so i wasn't going out with friends and i hated reading so i spent all days watching TV, youtube or playing games. Any advice how to overcome procrastination? I know i have tons of tons of time but i'd like to make as much of it as possible and i'm trying my best to do that.
bondziotek My recommendation is to start working out...then you will start to get momentum...after a month of working out 5-6 days a week try to make a morning routine that fits your lifestyle...and continue watching such videos but do not waste all your day on them,do things instead that will motivate you...hope you find the right path to follow by considering my recommendations and i will be happy to see a response from you in that same comment from you at about 5-6 months to get me updated and thank me,because i was in the same position as you a couple of years ago.
I haven't got notification of your response, that's why my answer is so late.
I have been "working out" for around a month almost every day. I made a homemade gym that consists of the pull-up bar, 2 chairs, table and place where I can do dips. Recently I started jumping rope every day for 1 minute 5 times with 1-minute rest. My workout consists of rope jumping, pushups, pull-ups, dips and some ab exercises. If I don't feel like working out I just sit there and watch some videos so I can get into a habit of going there at 8 pm. When school starts I may start going there right after school and start my morning routine. Thanks for your response im definitly gonna ubdate you in 6 months.
@@bondziotek5627 update?
I’m 24, I wish I had known the value of having savings, my value was only determined by me and not the things people did to me. I also wish I knew things get better, depression doesn’t last and neither does pain ❤️
it helps, thanks man!
More people need to hear this
Thanks! It helps.
There's nothing I'd like to know before 30. I only love the strength you gave us and gave to me, in particular, with this video!!! Today the only thing I'd like to know was this!! that time is a state of mind, it depends on us, because there are people who do things before and destroy them before! others prefer to wait and never destroy what they've done!!! 😘 lots of love!!! let me know how could I help you to reach your goals! this video made my journey today and also the one that will be tomorrow!!! Good night!!! thank's a lot!!! 🙏
It feels good that people like me were exist in this world after my 12 i took 2nd a half year to actually know myself to get to know what i actually Love doing , what i wanna do rest of my life , i don't want to spend my rest of the life by doing something just for the sake of money , just to survive , i tried various things in some i failed in some i succed people call me crazy that i m not stable yet , but always knew i m on right track
I'm thirty two and I wish I knew in high school and college that flexibility was more important than looking, I think "swole" is the current slang? Seriously, being able to touch your toes is so much more important to overall quality of life than squatting a 250lbs barbell.
awesome advice shia lebouf
I'm 24 been already for 2 years in a extreme depression trough my health issues and being totally lost and doctors can't help me anymore. Also i'm really obsessed with love and finding that affection from girls but know it doesn't make you happy. It's like everyday is a fight and trough that health i lost all my friends because they don't can relate and understand it.
this gives me hope :)
28 here. What's fascinating about my theme for today is '30'. Just watched another youtube video earlier about #adulting and just started watching a series called 'Single at 30', these synchronicity though. haha.
At this point I cannot say that I have my life figured out, but hey I know for a fact that we are moving on the right direction! Tomorrow, I'll be enrolling into a Japanese class, I don't know what's my future gonna be, but it's something I wanted to do for a while now. Just gotta start at something! And you'll find what you're looking for!
As to your question Alex. I made a promise to myself to continue growing when I reached at the age of 30! (that's 2 years from now!). Now that I made sure that I started something, I wish to continue on that flow. This year I learned alot of cooking and taking care of my health (means healthy diet) and taking care of my family, what's next gonna be is find a real partner, lol like most introvert suffers. We can do this!
One million percent agree
Another goal for me this coming month too is to find mind-like individuals! I'm trying meetup.com as a reference for now here in my country. God I just love the synchronicity for today! Hope you have an amazing day ahead Alex.
Rayster Hii, do you mind sharing your e-mail address with me? 😂I'm 26 (turning 27 soon) and tbh idk what exactly i want to type down here but somehow i feel like talking to you. 😅

Wong Fu productions videos eh? :3
With the way things have gone with my friends and I with jobs . We came to the conclusion that we should have tried to get into state jobs right out of school. I don’t want to say this is the right path everyone but my friends and I thought we would be better off considering what we had in private industry.
I have had some amazing times and some ups and downs. I am excited that the best times are yet to come and they will come by my design. At 35 I was a lump of turd waiting for everyone to take care of me. A mother of four, entitled in a failing marriage and it was everyone but me. Now I am 46 I have made great money and lost it made more, been a great role model to my kids about choosing a different path if you want a different result and even just this week switched jobs because the things I could control were too limited at my last position. The only constant is change and being flexible has been the key. Right now I’m recovering my mind set after spending nine months bathing in toxic behaviors around me that I let in. So, I have picked myself up and said I knew better, at least I recognized it in less than a year. I will finish the 40s strong and make the 50s my b-word!!!
I turned 30 in August!! And I'm in the best shape of my life!! Not the dirty 30's, the sturdy 30's yo! Let's embrace the blessing of life!!
I'm 25 and i'd wish i knew that not all the stuff that other people have or do, like being in relationship or doing something (like going in law school), it doesn't mean that you have to have it too in the same time as they, even if you are not ready for it. Also i wish i knew that "normal" is veeeery wide and abstract word and that "normality" is individual for every separate human being.
thank you
I adore you, adore you, adore you !!! I don't know how to let you know that I adore you!!! How should I express my gratefulness and appreciation for what you do, for this absolutely kind video??? 😭 tears of joy!!! thank's a lot!!! tell me what would you like me to do to help you reach your aimes !! maybe that would help show my gratefulness for what you do!!! please, let me know!!!
Thanks 😊
i will be 25 in 2 months i cant belive that but i dont work until now and i dont know what is my passion ?!! i wili work on my personal growth as you said
The phrase it’s over when it’s done with college are kids who parents paid for everything and now they struggle because life hit them hard.
I never had a desire to travel until 2009 (18y) . It became my 1# passion Back then I was still in High School and only traveled locally around my country. Being young and no money I made a plan to move somewhere to western countries, because I tought it will be easier for me to travel around the world. 2014 I moved to Ireland expecting that I will start to travel more often but 4 years later and 26y on my back got stuck with job that I don't like, bills and expensvie rent with minimum traveling and depressed . Anybody has advice on that I would appreciate a lot!. Thank you :)
I am 19 and the thing I wish I knew before is that , Selfishness and being greedy are the cause of all my unhappiness and I have everything I need to experience life the best way possible.
I just got out of bed.. midday saturday.. and cleaned out my drawers.. now I am about to make my bed and make some soup.. thanks for your video
As for when I was 20, I wish I knew that I wasn't always right about everything, other people will be nice if you're nice to them, you don't have to hide or pretend to be something you're not to impress people... just be you, and talk about what you like with passion, giving examples and telling stories about it... and people will find you interesting enough! Not everyone, but some will =)
Hey hey am 31 and im not old or crusty!!! 😂 life's just about to start

Now 3 years clean I payed half of the debt fixed the broken car I bought, packed on some muscle (I get people telling me my arms are huge) and my passive income is growing annualy aiming for GROWTH!!! If your 20-25 start sacrificing today!!! You will be much beter of without the mistakes I made.
Im 27 in nov and us head scraching what to make a career in my life and a bigger income so far in a diet and going to the gym and going to work lets see how this works
I wish I knew before I was 20 that you can find and excel in your mission in life (even if you don't have high grades).
I'm 35 now. One thing that I wished I had done was to care less about what other people thought of me.
Awesome video, how to know if I should stick with one decision or I should change? Did you fallow a plan when you have to make a big decision? Thanks for yours attention
