Thank you for sharing your story. I’m a Swedish woman, after several IVF, miscarriages, at 39 we had our son Daniel. After three years we went to Vietnam to get our lovely adopted daughter Alexandra then 3 months. They are now 29 and 25, we are so happy we have them. ❤ I wish you didn’t have to wait for long to get your baby boy. Love and wishing your family all the best. ❤️ Martina, Sweden.
Thinking the same. Long Lost Family spends too much time cautioning "Never try to find your family and approach them without a professional intermediary blah blah". And Davina marching out the same trick questions before she informs these vulnerable people they have traced their loved one. This is to the point.
I'll be 70 in a few months and since my childhood have known of my being adopted but never really understood why I've had such a troubled life, the alcoholism, the addiction to anything I could smoke, ingest or inject, the broken marriages but I never really connected the dots I was committed to blaming myself until now that is but would I have changed anything? Probably not, I'd still be in pain and used the same things to drown that pain.
I have a brother Pat so this story really caught me in the heart. Losing Pauline wasn't a punishment Pat. It was as sad as it gets though. And then Lucy walks in, Heaven sent girl! All the best to you. Your other kids were raised so well, that's why they were happy to hear about Lucy.
Congratulations to Orla and Fred who gave birth to their beautiful baby boy on 29th November 2014. Orla had an inkling...and her inkling was right. Couldn't have happened to a nicer couple xxx
OMG that’s amazing!!! How do u know this great news pls love? Is there a news story or a video? It couldn’t of happened to a nicer couple so happy for them, did they end up adopting or did orla end up being able to conceive naturally herself? I was so heartbroken for them watching their story because there’s so many children out there who want or need a loving family and they would b perfect parents u can see the love they have for each other and they have an amazing f aura about them too xxxx thank u for putting this up made my night u really have xxxx love, light & many blessings to u xxxx
So many overcrowded orphanages in the world, so many unloved, abandoned babies, whatever the reason. Why does it take many months, even years for a couple to adopt? I get background checking and paperworks take time in the adoption process.... one would think technology being at our finger tips it would speed up this process...baffles me!
It’s money making for the country. I know a young couple who adopted a little girl from Russia. They were required to travel to Russia TWICE before they could take her home. International adoption is very expensive.
Not true. Circumstances tear people and families apart. Private agencies for adoption operate under the same veil of secrecy. Unwanted babies..... what are the solutions? Abortion? NO, abandonment? NO. And during the era this gal was placed there were hundreds of thousands of mouths people couldn't afford to feed. Someone had to clean up the mess.
@@kosmos1957 catholicism has and still does rip families apart .... cleaning up the mess the catholic way has left carnage within communities and families.
So they got pregnant. .gave the baby up..got married and had another one within a year then went on to have 5 more ? I'm sorry but why can't people keep the child with someone until they get married then take the baby back? It seems the only reason people gave up children was because they were unmarried. Who cares. My Mother was an unmarried Irish White woman who had me and my Sister in the early seventies. People wanted her to give us up ..even kill us via abortion. She kept us despite the odds . Yes it was hard for her...very hard indeed for all of us but we persevered. She had no help ...no family around . Strong woman. She didn't let being "unmarried" stop her from keeping and raising us.
Oh I forgot to add my previous comment our Father was black and our Mother was an unmarried white woman. I only mention the races to show how yes the circumstances were tough but our Mother kept us despite of what society says.
I do think everyone is different, some people were able to stand up to societies pressures back then. The thinking around unmarried parenthood has changed dramatically in the last 40-60 years in NZ & also in most other western countries.
I understand the reason. We have friends that adopted a girl of 8. Adopted mom is a Special education teacher and her husband a coach for a high school and the Special Olympics. Even with all of their years of education to handle kids with issues, three years after adopting her they had to surrender her, they could not reach her after all of the emotional abuse she had endured in her first 8 years so don't judge people for wanting to adopt "a clean slate."
Older children, who have had a disturbed early life, very often have emotional problems that are difficult for professional psychologists to deal with. For an 'ordinary' and possibly inexperienced couple to take on such children could be disastrous.

I like that this program just tells the story but without drawing it out into a whole drama. Irish people are the best!

So happy to se a happy story about adoptees meeting their biological family members, treat each with compassion. 🇸🇪

Good program:)
Good luck to both families, thank you for the upload :)
Lovely Couple/ Great end to the story
That’s fucking lovely. Xxxxx
Why not just get married quickly in the beginning? Plenty of ‘premature’ babies.
So many orphans. The process is so unfair.
I don’t understand why the first couple didn’t just get married when she was pregnant as she was 27 when she had the baby.
Catholicism in Ireland.
Catholicism has ripped apart so many families, including mine

Quirky looking - the family on the 1st story.
Christianity, its meant to lift you but look what it does
What does that have to do with the video.
All religion is disgusting and should be abolished PERIDO!!
Christianity hasn't done anything bad here. Don't be a hater.
