Very helpful and well presented. For those who submitted a complete package and had made the required investment in PT managed funds of 500,000 Euro all prior to Dec 31, 2023, can they make application to be included n the prior format of NHR for their term of residency, even though they're presently in the queue waiting for appointment? Thank you.
Hello, thanks for your comment. If your application was started in 2023, you have until the end of 2024 to apply for NHR. The visa application is not linked to NHR, which is a tax regime - however, if you can evidence you started your migration to Portugal before the NHR expiry date, you have some extra time to apply.

Will I pay Income Tax on the Compensation Income of 101,000 EUR ? If I take the loan option, can I apply the interest expense as a deduction to my Compensation Income?

I was just about to ask whether this investment was considered real estate investment but you answered my question. I'm interested in a project like this however not this specific one as the reviews are a bit mixed on the property even though the investment terms seem favorable.
