- I was unsure of how the integra was going to perform at Brands, my 'home' circuit which I always do well at. Testing on the friday was proving tough and I spent most of my time suffering with chronic and massive oversteer..........anyone who knows me and how I drive, If I say its got chronic and massive oversteer....well...its pretty much borderline ridiculous.
A few changes made for quali saturday morning, I got out late due to....well...being me and always being late. Finding a gap in traffic was tough and I only managed about 3 flying clear laps. First one I was in 3rd, and I was aiming for 2nd due to the better starting position. My pit board showed 3rd so I went a smidgen harder...and boof...1st...by 0.001 sec...bugger...oh well, best do it properly and try stick in a faster lap, which we did.
Come the race, and even a storming start saw me out dragged up the hill into druids, and a mistake at clearways on cold tyres saw me give up 2nd. The entire race was a battle and I was able to catch and hound massively in surtees/clearways and druids, but then lost out on anything above 4th gear drags. Flag dropped with me in 3rd, but a 5 second penalty saw me elevated into 2nd overall.....quite happy with that...its progresion on my two 3rds from the previous race weekend at Snetterton.

Adrenaline packed race... wicked! Brakes look much better, shame to see the oversteer problem persists. Tried a different anti-roll bar?
Olly DC2 thanks bud, the oversteer is now completely manageable, roll bar changes will do very little now as the rear is so soft.

Combe is my favourite circuit, so if I can find someone to race with there, I'd seriously think about it. My series isnt racing there.

Start a kickstarter for some TDI ITB's and some lumpy cams and you can get them fiestas !!
I really enjoyed the watch, and the fact you had the capacity to commentate and drive at the same time.
I also don't think you owe that guy an apology , he drove across the front of you to try and be defensive and slow you down, you did the right thing to keep your foot in !

Fiesta's are apparently 285bhp sequential box and all the trimmings. Engine, chassis, brakes, box we are free to do what we want...however, my wallet is the main factor in car spec! haha. I have a stock K20A2 with bolt ons and about 240bhp, so if i can, perhaps more power will help at some point.

Not sure, but with their min allowed weights, around 285 was their max allowable Iirc.
that f'up was because you thanked robert? and put the car in 5th gear, whereas every other lap was 4th, so when it came to that right hand bend you was all out of sync.
Had to go back and watch as its been 3 years haha. It was a false neutral come turn in, so once it starts to rotate, you have no means to stop it.

93panda_eg none. You can do anything. So but we are controlled by a 260bhp per ton maximum.
Ben Rushworth oh I see. K24 with knife edged crank and balanced would help get your high rev while giving you more torque 🤷♂️
