I watched this great video in bed with my head phones on and keep falling asleep but not cause it’s boring but it’s so relaxing and I probably need a coffee but I don’t drink it lol 😊 Awesome job 👍 Cheers mate
You've really shown this SD1 some love and it's certainly rewarding you. We have to agree with your characterisation with this now as a 'good' slot car. However, it's now a SlorR hybrid and no longer a Scalextric but it's the having fun that counts. I suppose this is the thing with Scalextric and it's wide and eclectic range of models? They'll knock out a reasobably decent body shell for most tastes and then it's up to us as hobbyists. Personally, I do like this SD1 in this livery but I would only buy a Revoslot or a Scaleauto or Slot IT and we cannot see any of these going with this one any time soon? My latest project is a Scaleauto BMW M8 GT3 white kit which I have chosen because of its similar long wheel base. So far I have just primed and slapped on some Ferrari Rosso Corsa from Zero Paints (yes, I know it's a Beemer) on the well moulded body shell but my point is really the economy in having all the desirable components fron Day 1 and not having to trim plastic for float and the interior fit and all this for a reasonable price too. I think my next one might well be a Revo Lister - the yellow and green shades my preference over the other two but not by much.
@@slotr I would like to when I 'retire' but, sadly, for now I don't have enough time. I do thank everyone who does for their shoulders to the wheel with this hoby as it is definitely sustaining interest and giving people ideas and inspiration
Well done Dave, big improvement. Maybe Rob at Swiftslots could sort you one of his super lightweight interiors for it. When will you be “Hot Rodding” the Anglia? I’m looking forward to that one.
couple of weeks probably, I've got to work out a few things and it's SlotR Junior's birthday weekend next weekend so may not be a proper video next weekend, it's coming though

Very Detailed Dave and super improvements. Unfortunately i always heated rovers as ugly behemoths 🫢😂
I had the blue rover n the rover police car, as a kid. Actually seen Tony Pond, in his at a rally event many moons ago.
Yep convinced I've got to get one of these, thanks Dave another great video 👍👍👍
Wonderful tutorial on how to improve this car!!!!
It really didn't need much :)
@slotr some cars need more love than others.....!!!!
Well done buddy
Thanks Dave, great video. Maybe some ultragrips could provide even more grip?

@ can’t wait.
Got a soft spot for these ugly behemoths, nice upgrade there Dave👀👍🚙
Very useful video 👍
What video editing software do you use?
I'm lucky in that my work means I need a licence for Adobe Premier at my disposal :)
The biggest problem I find is when I have a good car I use it all the time and when I break it I can never get it running the same 😂😂
that second set of tires never beds in quite the same either does it?
@slotr that's were the mighty tyre truer comes in 😂
It looks like you're fighting with weight against a tyre compound that doesn't work on your track there Dave.
