One of my favourite trivia from that region and time is that during the ottoman-persian wars, the spoken language of the ottoman court was persian and the spoken language of the persian court was turkish.
@@mehmetkayraozer9164 yes the formal language was ottoman turkish. But because of the sheer number of courtesans of persian origin, the popular language became persian. Thats why I used “spoken language” in an effort to differentiate between it and formal language. I apologize for the confusion

EU5 will be just like how every other Paradox sequel starts, incredibly barebones and missing most of the content of the previous version(I'm looking at you CK3 and Vic3). With how much content EU4 has been receiving it might be 10 years after EU5's release before it comes close to the EU4 level of depth and quality.
Wonderful DLC showcase as always Laith! Your road to becoming Shahanshah or King of Kings was very enjoyable. I will also check out the other mission trees soon. It's great seeing you have fun with this. Also the coughing edits got me every time. 😂
I like to think that all those galleys you built were made with massive horse heads on the prow. Like massive wooden waterhorses for your boys to ride into battle on the high seas.
So this is basically Flavour Universalis mission tree on how to form Persia even down to the later Persia missions, down to the cavalry side of things and the choice between Shia or Zoroastrian side of the mission tree. Is there anything extra that warrants a replay or it's basically the exact same? Mind you I haven't done it with QQ but with Ardabil, through all their missions and the subsequent Persian missions, the Zoroastrian path. Very fun for those who haven't tried yet
@@slickyblicky1711 yes exactly why I was asking, since he joined a lot of the mission trees were almost a copy paste of the FU ones. Hence why I wonder if will be so similar as not to warrant a replay. Or maybe I could try it with Ajam or as QQ as I've never played them until now. And might be interesting to also go for the Shia side of the mission tree, although it would pain me to miss out on the awesome Baku Ateshgah and the 10% discipline, -10% fire dmg received, 5% fire dmg and -10% culture.
The last couple of DLCs where fcking awesome. You have so many nations worth playing now with mission trees that dont just require conquest. The only thing they overlooked is RUM. They get the new Ottoman government and Eyalets and so on but they still have the old Ottoman Mission tree.
Speaking of his generals. I`ve noticed that whenever I have picked aristocratic ideas the generals have been way better than usual. Seems as if there has been a hidden modifier or something.

I mean I love this video and the DLC showcase but you 100% lost that battle on Sugla at 29:10 and still got the permanent 10PP from not losing a single battle against the Ottomans?

gotta love how they changed Fars color again xD its become a tradition at this point. Actually like this color too, blue-whiteish ^^
Remember yellow Fars? I'd rather not...

Yet it still happens like 3 out of 5 games with my luck
Zoroastrianism is such a cool faith. Almost as cool as it would be for Laith to Play a Fire Emblem Game.

why does Laith have a newfound obsession with John Paradox😭
39:40 "My lord! Your heir was watching a comet through the telescope when it hit him and killed him"

This video rocks! I will definitely buy this DLC, love added flavour to nations. So important.
Is incredible how Fars has changed 3 times their color.
They really should add a button that changes a monument's "monthly piety" gain in either direction for muslim nations. Or any accelerator modifiers
Good to see Laith finally getting some good luck in this game

Welcome back to another episode of Laith pronouncing Qoyunlu as 'Qonyulu'
Gaming with a husky outside is alway nerve-wracking gotta keep checking to see if they escaped or not😂
It would be cool if they added dynamic mission trees like in hoi4 - especially for custom nations 😭
