Eh up, I made myself look quick on that second to last descent into Coldwell Clough, coz you weren't hanging about. Cheers for the "big up". 👍
You were quick down there mate, you're right, i was shifting and struggling to keep up haha 👍
Jonathan was bloody flying on his new bike👍
He was very quick, nobody was the quickest overall as we all rode extremely well throughout the day 👍🏻
Cheers Rich battering it down to Coldwell Clough near the end. I'll be even quicker when I get that creak sorted out 🤣🤣
Great video..looks tech / tricky in places. The on-bike voice over comments are a good description ! Thanks for posting.
Thanks mate, appreciated 🙏👍🏻
Top top trail yet again . You guys explore places so nice 👍
Thanks mate, one of my favourite routes in the peaks, awesome descents 🤘👊
Thats a great looking loop. A wee bit of everything thrown in. Proper fast. 🤙🏴
Thanks mate, I love this loop, one of my favourites 😁👍🏻
All them riders are rate good 😃👍. Cracking ride, cheers for the invite Marc. Hopefully uploading my version tonight if all goes well with the tech. Heads up.... Watch it on mute unless you like the sound of a creaky set of bearings 😱 PS. Don't forget at the bottom of Jacob's tarn.... Turn right or face the wrath 😜
Haha, thanks mate, i always get my left and right mixed up 😂 looking forward to your vid mate, thanks for coming along, hope there will be more this year like that 👍
Great video and great trail. Thanks for the post. I shall put it on my tails to do this year
Thanks mate, it’s an absolute brilliant route 😁👍🏻
Jacob’s Ladder is a proper ripper - not done that since about 2009! Good work, fella.
Thanks mate, we took the controversial way but it was fun 😁👍🏻
A superb route Mate.
Thanks mate, we will be doing this one again in the summer 👍🏻
Awesome !!!!
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Now that looked more fun, got some good descents in as well 🤙 great video enjoyed that flower 😁
Thanks mate, it was chalk and cheese compared to bakewell haha😂👍
Nice ride with soooo much fast DH on rocks and muck! 3:35 nothing more intimidating than wet smooth rocks (or roots)! That Jacob's ladder area is sustained madness 6:38 congrats for your 1st run on it . I wonder how slick the stones are? Another relentless DH at 11:50 thru 13:35 Carrying some speed 17:45 thru 19:20 A few of your buddies need Full-face Helmets... alll that rock is quite risky for face-plants! How wide is your Maxxis in front?
biketothetop, thanks mate, probably one of the best loops in the Peak District, Jacobs was extremely steep but the stones were quite grippy which is good as speed control was essential to avoid going over the bars, I think you should all be wearing full face helmets on that kind of terrain but there’s a lot of riders that class it as cross country and probably don’t hit them trails full out, I feel safer with my full face , it was a brilliant ride with a great bunch of lads.
It’s a maxxis minion DHF 2.4 on the front
Cracking video mate, that's probably my favourite peaks loop. I usually start from the broken road and finish off with Cavedale descent. Not done Jacob's ladder footpath before 🙈
Thanks mate, I might have to try your version, not done Cavedale before, first time down Jacobs too, I wasn’t aware there was a right and wrong way down it ( footpath) until after haha, it was a challenge but I’ll stick to the correct way next time, thanks for watching 😁👍🏻
Nice one!. Been year since I've ridden that route so it's another on the list for this summer.
Thanks mate, yes, i absolutely love this route, peaks at its best 😀👍
This looks excellent mate. I'd definitely like to give this a try. Conditions looks looked perfect for it. 👍🍻
It was a brilliant route mate, it’s the reverse of what we did last year, I think this way round is better 😁👍🏻
@@HallMarc_Trails I'd say so. The more dh the better 👍
I have to say it again, I really like Will's camo job on his bike. That Jacob's Ladder looks pretty nasty! There is a Jacob's Ladder trail up in that Corner Canyon area here, but I haven't been on it. Steep with technical sections. I could do it slow, but people fly down it and I could cause an accident going slow. Cool seeing that one guy with a Santa Cruz bike.
Anyway, another great video!👍
Thanks mate, I’ve seen videos of your Jacobs Ladder, I would love to ride that, yeah you don’t see many Santa Cruz here, nice bikes, I think will is proud of his camo 😁, thanks for watching, appreciated 👍🏻
@@HallMarc_Trails Yah! I enjoy your videos!
Jacob's Ladder looks good fun brother brilliant group ride🤙👊
Thanks mate, Jacobs was very scary, very steep, awesome descents throughout 😁👍🏻
Bloody hell Mark I bet you needed a change of underpants after that one I think it definitely looks better in that direction.😬😂
Both ways are great to be honest but I think this way edges it 😁👍🏻
No shortage of rocks on this ride!! Lol! That Jacobs Ladder section looks very cool, like the rocks were placed to make a road, but who would make a road that rough?! Looks fun to ride though!
Thanks mate, Jacobs is very steep, the placed stones are more like steps, very sketchy indeed haha 😁👍🏻
Very much built like that. It was originally built as a pack horse track in the 17th century to move wool and other goods across the country. There are many of these in the peak district. 👍
Even I’m learning here haha
jnadin39 very cool! I love all the history you guys encounter on your rides. I find it very interesting.
That looked an awesome route, every descent was a banger, definitely a strong early contender for ride of the year and we're only in February lol. Thought the music at the start was very appropriate considering what was to follow, Jacob's looked technical and scary as hell and after that it opened up into loads of super fast looking downhills that still managed to have plenty plant wetting rocks and drops etc lol.
Also everyone looked like they were having a great time and it definitely showed through into the video, overall an awesome ride, massive thumbs up from me 👍👍👍
Edit - not sure what the 2 dislikes are all about, probably a couple of those walkers whining about having to stand to one side for two seconds when you come past lol.
This was an epic ride, loved the descents on this one, I doubt this one will be beaten this year but you never know haha, the dislikes will be because we took the walkers route down Jacobs to which I wasn’t aware of at the time.
Nice video old friend your channels doing so good almost to a thousand
Thanks mate, I’m getting there 😁👍🏻🤘
Awesome video dude👍🏻👍🏻💪💪
Thanks mate 😁👍🏻
I’ve done this a couple of times but I like your version, totally forgot how good this ride is! 💪🤟👍
Yeah, we did the cheeky version 😂 it was a fantastic ride 😁👍🏻
Ever tried Cavedale? It’s only short but boy is it scary. I tried it on the stage 6 n I didn’t get all the way down. Great vid!love epics out there
Hi mate, thanks for stopping by, no i've not done cavedale, well i think i did around 2001 ish when i was fairly new, i'll have to check that one out 😀👍
Hi, I'm a Derbyshire biker and yes I know Cavedale.... Its the toughest descent in the peak IMHO. 👍
Thé good session descent good vidéo Friends
Thanks mate, I really appreciate your continued support for my channel, respect 🤘👍🏻
Wow, what an adventure, would not fancy doing that Jacobs Ladder descent on my hardtail!
Thanks mate, ye, I wouldn’t advise it on a hardtail, especially if you value your teeth 😂👍🏻
