Gotta say, Parkitect is my favorite roller coaster /theme park game. I like it more than RCT1 and 2 even, and much better than Planet Coaster. Serious props to the dev. I enjoy watching these videos as well. It's so enjoyable to watch someone else go through these scenarios.
Sometimes Parkitect just misses real queues. If something has good capacity, it is almost impossible, to get enough peeps in, even if it really is the Major Ride in that Park. At least for free rides they should prefer that rides, if they got quite short wait times before. Its a good game, but thats something, RCT and RCT2 did much better. It feels way better, if you spend time to build a good coaster with high capacity, when trains still fill up complete.
The one good thing about being quarantined here in the Netherlands is that we have more free time! But everything else sucks, atleast I can watch this.
00:10:30: The rocks on the roofs of alpine buildings are not there to weight the roofs down. They are supposed to keep snow from slipping of the roof in large chunks, potentially crushing someone underneath.
20:55 it gets better when you think about it. Takabisha (and Shellraiser) have the base of the lift at the level of the station. People assume they're going to roll out onto the lift and go through all those crazy elements. Instead, you go through that super slow barrel roll and into the launch. By the time you hit the brakes of the first half, half the train has already forgot about the lift and is thinking the ride is over. Then you roll up to the big lift and all the GP realize that the ride is only *half* over. Takabisha hides this fact in darkness while Shellraiser hides it through cardboard-cutout buildings and hiding the launch behind Shredder. It's really clever, and I want more coasters to trick the rider like that.
After the end of this series you should make a video where you go through and tour all of the parks you have made in these scenario's, maybe you could even do a pov of all the coasters, since I know you want to keep this series vanilla, but that would be a seperate video that wouldn't interfere with the gameplay of the main series, idk just an interesting idea I guess
Started watching this series at around the 4th episode, and went back to watch the first 3. Then watched each you came out with until about episode 9. Just got back into watching it and realized you hadn't made a playlist for this yet, so I went ahead and made one. Love watching these videos!
I think the entrance change for the first coaster was a really good change. It helps it feel more alive, more realistic, much like you'd encounter in an actual place. Also, not going to lie, kind of love the large overhanging roofs. Gives a bigger silhouette while you still have the balcony function (of course, if accessible by guests) but would still add a lot of visual interest otherwise. Happy to see more Parkitect videos. Got the game a while ago and love using your campaign for inspiration and sometimes a guide of getting through scenarios. Think that you did a great job in this park. About COVID-19, stay safe my guy! Of course, wash your hands, keep things clean, everyone knows the drill. In America right now, we're dealing with a lot of places beginning to close for some time, and my university has moved completely online, so I can understand the isolation that will come from quarantining oneself. Just try to keep the brain busy; at least you have a community online to talk to!
I love everything about this build. The castle is one epic building. You are 4 maps away form completing the campaign. Do you have plans for sandbox parks?
I love the castle you made for the floorless coaster on this one. Also, the idea of placing rocks on the roof of alpine buildings is clever and pretty. Tons of coasters on this park, quite an enoyable watch! Something horrible happened to me in this scenario: one of my coasters crashed! I think it's because the block brakes failed, but I digress. The scenario was actually easier than I thought other than that. Managed to finish it before the time limit.
I visited American Dream two weekends ago. The pictures do not do that place justice. The place is impressive from a visual and engineering standpoint. Pictures make it look more barren than it really is. The best ride there was Skyline Scream (the drop tower) for reasons I don't want to spoil if you haven't ridden it. Some flat rides could use backdrops but overall a nice park and mall.
The best maps are the ones covered in hills and mountains. Using the terrain to your advantages is always a fun mechanic, especially when you have a height limit.
Lol you could have the thumbnail be just about anything and I would still click it. Parkitect is absolutely my favorite series of yours man you're who got me into this game it's wonderful.
Those moments when just rambles on about real life roller coasters and parks is when I start feeling like I'm an odd one out on this channel. He starts talking about that stuff and my eyes just glaze over...I imagine it's what it's like when I talk about my music to people.........
I used the mountain to form a loop around the park (guess I'm a mean parkitect for doing that), but I did a flying coaster up there themed to a monster from the Alps, the area is supposed to be more specific to the Hintertux...then I have a Pirates vs Arabs area in that back section you didn't use that is just a concrete slab save a shopping area between the Pirate-themed rides (swinging ship and SBF Spinner) and the "Bazaar" area (Magic Carpet, Observation Tower, Wave Swinger). I later went back and added a Euro-fighter called Catastrophe Canyon. It also interacts with a go-kart track and has a long, sloped, break run the starts from the roof to the top of a corkscrew on my steel coaster. There was a third block I had to cut out after that to get to the station but
don't know about steel, but I know a wooden coaster that goes straight into a second lift hill without braking before doing so. So at least one exist in the world.
The chalet roof detailing, with use of the rocks, is so good. Please use the corona lock down to make a shit load of videos. I need my content, please!
Just realized you have a hybrid accent after hearing your pronunciation of castle :D. Great map build as usual! Looking forward to your next few goes as I"m stuck on the last two maps.
Well, I also want to build something real coaster "inspired" in my Planet Coaster park, specifically inspired by Big Loop in Heide Park, of all things. I just love how that double corkscrew over the lake looks (though I'm going to try to use some other element). I would love to try out Lech Coaster, but even though I live in the south of Poland I doubt I'm going to ride it in the near future, because I find it difficult to justify getting accommodation near Legendia even if we comboed it with the trip to Energylandia. There's just nothing really tripworthy over there aside from Lech Coaster. Maybe when they expand?
Thinking back, and still today, those chair carrousels always scared me. I don't know what it is, but the chains don't feel very secure enough for me. Never rode one, and probably never will.
I think barons layout looks better than a ride like sheikra or valravn because it actually has good pacing and doesn’t completely focus on somewhat gimmicky drops
Coasters like 13 at alton towers and that Pegasus ride at parc asterix go straight into lifts w/o a break run.. but in fairness they’re tire lifts so 🤷♂️
Silv, is there a reason you faced the ferris wheel away from the park? I know little about IRL theme parks, but it feels like they should be enjoying the park scenery and scoping out what they want to ride next.
the funny thing about swiss chalet style is that it is a historism thing and not at all swiss or alpine. most of the swiss chalet style homes are really in the dresden area etc...
this has nothing to do with this game, but you are the one to ask this question to, are any of the scenery or building pieces in planet zoo able to be imported to planet coaster to use, if not maybe they should be, it would open a whole new range of building in each game, or better yet have frontier combine both games to make one. thanx.
From a pure efficiency perspective, shouldn't all the "flagship"/large coasters in your park be launched if possible to decrease ride time and thus increase throughput? I also hope that considering Vekoma working on a launched flying coaster variant that will open either this or next year the devs will give the flying coaster LSM pieces.
It’s so weird going from Planet Coaster back to Parkitect. But I unironically think that Parkitect has a better building system, but Planet Coaster has the better coaster system.
After finishing the campaign, I hope you go back to the parks where you didn't perform all of the goals and attempt to perform all of them. It would be very fun to see that. :)
It would be so much nicer for the people in the ferris wheel if you had turned it around. Now they have to watch a whole lot of nothing while they could be watching the beautiful castle instead. But don't worry to much about it. Cavy makes the same mistake. ;)
LOL I just tweeted at you.....#Brightside 😂 EDIT: Also, was the scenario called Mystic (Mothball) Mountain? That was my favorite too! EDIT: when you said “Gucci”, I cackled. EDIT: when you talked about how you have so many alpine themes in your parks, you could experiment with Russian, Nordic/Viking, American Frontier/Gold Mine, or Anglo-Saxon/British Countryside themes. Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1665111374&searchtext=Brokk+ EDIT: I LOVE those catwalks that you made for the end turns of the spaghetti ball and Floorless coasters. 👍🏼 But I definitely think a Mine Train would have been better than the Floorless coaster if you could research it/it was available. The cave entrance/exit would have made it so amazing.

Really like the choice of background music for this episode. Really calm and soothing, and works with the theme of the park and episode
The one good thing about being quarantined here in the Netherlands is that we have more free time! But everything else sucks, atleast I can watch this.
What do you mean free time. My school gives just as much work as we would do at school
@@VinneighPinneigh Not having to travel anywhere is like a bunch of hours in the week free
* builds a station that's better than any buildings I've made in Parkitect * "so I have to admit, this station is kind of boring"
Thanks for making videos during self quarantine. Makes my social distancing a little more enjoyable.
00:10:30: The rocks on the roofs of alpine buildings are not there to weight the roofs down. They are supposed to keep snow from slipping of the roof in large chunks, potentially crushing someone underneath.
23:55 Ah yes, everyone knows that cyberpunk dive coaster with the CEO of a tech firm recruiting people to test his business machines, Baron 1980.
Bruh, that sounds fucking awesome. But make it a wing coaster instead.

Didn’t notice any breathing sounds until you mentioned it ! Love this park and scenario. Great video ;)
I used to watch all your video's but at some moment I couldn't find the time anymore, now I'm watching all the episodes I missed, and it's amazing!
The park looks really good, I just love how much you pay attention to details and realism in the roller coasters, looks great
just got some brand new headphones so now i can listen to your smoothing voice with that extra bit of bass

I have plans for DLC scenarios first :) (but, I love the chairlift Marnit made so much that I might make a ski resort sometime)
I love the castle you made for the floorless coaster on this one. Also, the idea of placing rocks on the roof of alpine buildings is clever and pretty. Tons of coasters on this park, quite an enoyable watch!

Joker’s Jinx is such an underrated ride

The indoor one for jokers jinx is flight of fear at kings dominion and kings island.
Finally something to watch :D
Great video. I wish the developers would add launches to the eurofighter model, must be easy to implement?
Mods!

that loop on the eurofighter is too clothoid for a gerstlauer imho
nice vidddd tho thanks for making some real thrill coasters!!

I would assume the "Spaghetti Bowl" moniker may have been borrowed from the expression already in wide use for certain complex highway interchange.
Mothball Mountain was called Mystic Mountain in the UK IIRC.

the dark ride version of joker's jinx is flight of fear i think
